January 29, 2006, 5AM: Played 7 hours, Made $485.00 at Lucky Chances
$9/18 Texas Hold'em

What a mess! Came into a rock tight game where one player was abusing the whole table.  I sat immediatly on his left and declared all out war with him.  Less than 30 minutes after the seat change the rest of the table caught on that me 3 betting him pre meant only, please don't call, I want him for myself.

Then this nutzo comes to the table and things really get turned on. for over an hour almost everyhand was capped pre flop and 5 way action or more.

Then game simmered back down to a bit the way it was when I first came in.  Except players where stuck, confused and tired, :)

January 28, 2006, 7AM: Played 8 hours, Made $705.00 at California Grand
$12/24 Texas Hold'em

What a horribly great session.  A bunch of wacko maniacs in the game, more like loose passive, the best to have.  Bad thing about the session is within the 1st 3 hours I was up about $900, then came off about $400 an fought to get back to where I ended up.

Played well, I am a strong limit holdem player, need to stop limping with Ax suited though.  Not peeling to chase the turn and not being a total donk, sometimes need to dump hands on button like 47s pre.  Not a good idea.  Bleed off chips.

January 27, 2006, 11PM: Played 2 hours, Made $146.00 at California Grand
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

What can I say, there are all nutzo here.  No respect for pre flop raises.  Dropped back 150, half, of win, so quit and moved into my other game.

January 24, 2006, 8PM: Played 2 hours, 6 minutes, Made $485.00 at Lucky Chances
$9/18 Texas Hold'em

Just played ABC solid.  Went on a rush and pressed it hard.  Won like 4 hands in a row.  Including a straddle.  I think, what the hell, I will raise and ram everyhand until I lose one.  Then I backed off and played solid again.  Players where pretty easy to read and only was 2-4 players seeing a flop, unlike the usuall 6.

January 24, 2006, 8PM: Played 30 minutes, Made $84.00 at Lucky Chances
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Played one hand while waiting for the other game.

Posted BB and dealt AQ, button raise to $15.  I call, flop comes 28Q two spades, I have Ace of spades.  I check, he bets $25 and I raise to $60.  He auto calls and I bet the turn all in dark for remaining $25.  He calls and I win, he shows JJ.  I get up and go to other game.

January 23, 2006, 10PM: Played 1 hour, 30 minutes, Made $4.00 at Bay 101
$8/16 Texas Hold'em

Yes, a $4.00 win! Darylsuds and I played a little with the asian crew down in San Jose.  Typical cali game.  Money flying around without a care, as long as they have some imaginative way to win the pot.  Came off a little win and didn't feel like battling it out or putting in a negative entry.

January 22, 2006, 2AM: Played 2 hours, 30 minutes, Lost $82.00 at Cache Creek
$4 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Hmm, where to start.  My first hand dealt at the game and I pick up the 'ol 23 offsuit.  The UTG player makes it $16 to go, player on my right calls and a player behind raises another $20.  We all call and the 4 of us see the flop of Q79 two hearts.  The UTG player bets out $16.  Guy on my right thinks quite a bit and calls.  I have no draws or anything but feel like putting a move on the pot.  I wait for information from the pre re-raiser and call.  The pre raiser just calls as well.  So I put him on AK or JJ, the guy on my right I believe has a weak draw and/or pair.  The turn is a 6 and the UTG player bets out $25.  This to me shows that he is weak as well since he should have bet more in relation to the pot since now the size is well over $180.  The guy on my right thinks a long while again and folds.  I want to really steal this pot right now but am afraid if I do shove and get called my 3 high might not hold up, lol.  So I just call and expect the pre raiser, last to act to fold, but he calls! The river brings a 3 giving me... bottom pair, duece kicker and no flush.  The better the whole way now checks, proving to me that he is weak/drawing.  I put the guy behind me on JJ or smaller pair or AK/ A high flush draw.  I am pretty sure I can move him off his hand and only hope I am correct with the read on the better holding a draw and not KQ top pair afraid of being beat.  I bet out $100, the pre re-raiser thinks for quite awhile and lays down his supposed TT(he told me later) leaving me with only the better who instfolds.  I show my 23 and drag the pot and set the stage.
I play well raising pre frequently to generate action and keep the game looking loose and lively.
I make 2 major mistakes in one hand and get outrun in another to cost me a winning session.  The hand I get outrun was a 50/50 deal.  I limp with T9s everyone folds, sb calls and bb raises.  We both call, flop comes TJ3.  sb checks, bb bets $40 and I think... sb is rock tight, who bets out all top pair hands or better and never calls with a draw if you bet heavy so he has shit.  The bb better overbets the pot and is starring me down.  I sence weakness and know my pair of tens are good.  I put him on AK, QK, or QA, all of which giving him 6 pair outs and min 4 gut shots outs for a total of 10 outs or worst case if he has KQ he has another 3 outs(I hold one of his 9s) for 13 outs.  This all takes me about 10 seconds of thought and I decide to go with my read on move all in.  He auto calls and declares, "lets do it, lets gamble".  He does and spikes an Ace for a straight.
The hand I really screw up is 58s on the button.  Raise from Dsuds and 5 people see the flop of Q58 2 clubs.  Checked around to player on my right who bets out $30.  I auto call without any thought and they all fold.  Turn is an Ace and he bets out another $30, I again auto call.  River is a 9 and he value bets $60.  I call off my chips like a donkey and he shows me AQ.  I look back at the hand and contemplate what the best thing to do on the flop and then see my mistake of not folding on the turn.  The only thing I can beat on the turn is a draw/bluff or KQ.  He is too tight/weak of a player to bet the turn with a draw/bluff/KQ and then have the balls to value bet the river when the 9 falls.  Again I could have folded there.  The "mistake" I can't get over is my flop play.  I think doing any of the 3 options(calling, raising, folding) are all mistakes and yet as well correct(besides possibly folding the flop, but I dont HAVE to play the hand).  If I call the flop I can still see what the remaing players will do without committing my stack and if he doesn't spike the ace on the turn I have him all trapped up.  Raising the flop drives out all the garbage hands that may pull of card off to hit their draw and as well possibly get him to lay down.  Folding the flop is an option if I'm a big pussy and want to wait to get my chips in the pot with a better situation.
This to me is a great example of why you shouldn't play this trash in the first place as it gets you in difficult situations and IF you do decide to play it, play it like a man when you hit and don't call off your chips like I did.

January 22, 2006, 1AM: Played 1 hour, Made $152.00 at Cache Creek
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

$4/8 half kill game.  Very basic game.  Too many people seeing flops and calling on the flop with them all freezing up on the turn.  No severe aggression on the turn unless someone holds the nuts.  Played pretty ABC after I had raised a few hands preflop to desensitize them to my aggressiveness.

January 20, 2006, 12AM: Played 3 hours, Made $912.00 at Wynn Las Vegas
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Wow, they where just handing me their money.  I did hit many hands but I played them all well.  They were not betting properly to protect their hands against my draws which made it easier.  I should play this low limit more often when I wait for my omaha seat.  Maybe it should be the other way around.
