July 31, 2007, 11PM: Played 30 minutes, Lost $1.00 at Full Tilt
$1 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (495th out of 1095 Players)

As card dead as I have been in a tourny in a long time...not much I could do here.  Try again tomorrow.

July 31, 2007, 3AM: Broke Even at Full Tilt
No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (85th out of 2700 Players)

Pretty fun.  With about 200 left I took a 3 outter that knocked me down to 5k instead of 25k.  Got that back to 14k, and then doubled to get to 29k with 160 left (I was sitting in 50th).

Sitting with 20k and 110 people left; I figured I needed about 100k to make the money at 27 so it was time to kick it into gear.

88 left and i am stuck with 16k, really need to find a hand/spot.

Stuck it in in late position with A9 and the BB woke up with AA.  Nothing like top 3% in a tourny without cashing :)

July 30, 2007, 11PM: Played 20 minutes, Made $1.70 at Full Tilt
$0.10 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

4-tabled, 89 hands.  I was up about 12 early, and then lost a 10 dollar pot with AK to a guy who was UTG and limped then called my 5x bb raise with 92.  the flop came K92...i was too mad to keep playing.

at least i know when i am on tilt, i would have given away money after this.  i should be able to shrug it off but if i can't i am at least glad i stopped myself from going for revenge.

wrote the guys name down though so that i can play with him later sometime and get some level-headed revenge later.

July 30, 2007, 6PM: Played 2 hours, Made $0.98 at Full Tilt
$1 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (10th out of 90 Players)

Starting stacks were 3k.  I made it to the break with 6,605.  Action has been real slow, but i think things are going to pick up a little bit after the break when the blinds start to catch up.

31 left, 18 get paid.  I have 7,800 which is fairly comfortable but there are plenty of big stacks at my table.  Still have a good grind ahead before we hit the $.

Made the money with 10k, had to go to work, let Ryan take over.

Blinds were big, Ryan got it in with a short stack AQ v 88 and finished in 10th.  Kind of fun...didn't realize it would take so long so if I ever play one of these again I will have to do it more than 2 hours before work.

July 30, 2007, 3AM: Played 25 minutes, Made $1.75 at Full Tilt
$0.10 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

More wasting time while watching Ryan win a 100 dollar sng...pretty much played one hand over the time and called a short stacks all in with QQ and it beat his 99.  Just want to win that stupid 1 dollar tourny i always play...thats my goal for now.

July 29, 2007, 11PM: Played 1 hour, Lost $1.00 at Full Tilt
$1 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (299th out of 1038 Players)

Had a few big hands real early and was peddle to the metal trying to build a stack; when the dust settled i doubled up to 3k...nice but could easily have been 8-10k.  Oh well, the tourny starts after the break and I am up a little right now as the second hour begins.

table is real bad...just need a hand or two because they WON'T fold...so i am just one or two hands away from sitting comfortable but not looking great right now. 320 left.

well, 3 mins later i pick up AK on the button and move in for 8x the bb and the big blind calls with 55.  i lost...try again tomorrow.

July 28, 2007, 10PM: Played 1 hour, 45 minutes, Lost $1.00 at Full Tilt
$1 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (222nd out of 1286 Players)

Doubled up early but got a little loose to drop back down to 2k with 600 left.

My stack fluctuated a lot from 600 down to 400 players.  My streak of KK losing in todays cash game play continued during this stretch of the tourny but I managed to lose the minimum I believe.  I got my stack up to 4200 with 400 left though.

Well its the same ol thing...I had built up my stack to about 5500 and a guy with 3500 opens for 800, i reraise to 1900 and he pushes his last 2700...i of course call with JJ getting infinity:1 and probably have the best hand anyways.  He flips over A8...so after the A on the turn i am crippled and i lose a few hands later.

July 28, 2007, 6PM: Played 2 hours, Made $7.60 at Full Tilt
$0.10 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

4-tabled, 551 hands.  was stuck about 18 bucks and then for the last 40-50 hands i played 6 tables and finally picked up a few big hands and had then hold up to make a very quick 25 bucks to end my session up 7.6.

i really feel like this is the best i have played compared to the rest of my posts where i had made some money but wasn't completely pleased with my play.  even before i turned my big loss into a win i was feeling great about the way i played each of my hands that i lost.  i bet pot with trips three times on the turn into ppl i was sure had F. draws, and they hit the river everytime.

i had KK 4 times during my session and lost with them each time (not once against AA).

didn't go on tilt and stuck to my game...very happy i was able to pull a decent win out today.

July 26, 2007, 8PM: Played 1 hour, Made $5.55 at Full Tilt
$2 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 6 Players)

I couldn't pick up a hand for the first 20 mins...not even close to a hand.  so after the first bust out i was pretty short already.

Stayed patient though and won a few small pots to stay in the middle of the pack...when we got down to 3 ppl i was in second and then the chip leader busted the 3rd guy so i was real short heads up.

stayed patient and climbed back in he was pretty easy to read so i just tried to avoid big coinflips since the blinds were still manageable and it worked out.
