February 22, 2006, 7PM: Played 5 hours, Made $220.00 at California Grand
$4/8 Omaha Hi-Lo

Was short handed game with a house man playing.  Would have won more but he beat me on a one card out.  I flopped top set, he flopped bottom set.  He bet, I raise, he calls.  Same thing on the turn.  The river he hits his quads, while betting he says "I got you now".  I raise and he re-raises.  He again says "I got you now".  So I ask if he has quads and he says yes.  It was time for me to leave and play another day.

February 21, 2006, 12AM: Played 5 hours, Lost $35.00 at California Grand
$4/8 Omaha Hi-Lo

Just a small loss today.  Had to leave for some training or would have stayed.  The game was great, lots of donks in the game.  Could have easily made 300 but got beat by a one card out to loss a 300 pot.

February 19, 2006, 9PM: Played 3 hours, 30 minutes, Made $323.00 at California Grand
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Was finally able to use my table imagine to my advantage.  Had a table full of true players that knew what they were doing.  Was able to move a few people off the hand with a big bet or check raise.  Poker at it's best.

Not much to say here, just making a few good hands.  Played solid ABC poker.

February 16, 2006, 10PM: Played 7 hours, Made $1,435.00 at California Grand
$12/24 Texas Hold'em

Was a great day at the tables.  My big hands stood up and my drawing hands got there.  The biggest hand I won was KK.  In late position it was capped to me with 6 callers pre-flop.  Not really liking the odds I reluctantly call.  With a flop of KQ6, I really liked my hand.  Was a little nervous when it was capped to me already.  I reluctantly call.  The turn brings a A.  This actually scared me, not only is there a straight possible, somebody could have AA.  Once again it was capped to me, but now we were down to 4 players.  Then the magical river......K.  I had no fear.  This time it was only 2 bets to me, so I throw on the 3rd bet.  The donk betting all the way caps it forcing out the guy between us.  Unlimited raising now, I hit it again.  He thinks and says, "no way you have AA, I raise".  I respond while raising again, "you're right, I don't have AA, why don't you raise me again? We might have the same hand." Of course he does, so I raise again.  Now I see the light bulb go off in his head.  He finally calls.  I show my quads as he shows QQ.  What a way to start.

February 15, 2006, 6PM: Played 5 hours, Made $91.00 at California Grand
$4/8 Omaha Hi-Lo

Such a small win for so many hours in this game is crazy.  Just couldn't seem to keep anything going.  When you have 5 people calling for runner runner low, makes it tough to beat them all.  Oh well, will take the win.  Just a small dent in the loss the other night.

February 9, 2006, 7PM: Played 7 hours, Lost $1,040.00 at California Grand
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Just wasn't a good session.  Had a donk in the game that played every hand.  Seemed he always got lucky against me as well as my wife.  The magic hand was always 8-5.  Didn't matter if it was suited or not, he played it and made 2 pair or full houses everytime.  The big mistake I made was flopping 2 pair with a flush on board.  Tried to protect it against a pre-flop raiser and caller.  The raiser had AA and the caller had the flush.  Cost me almost 600 that hand.  Was pretty much on tilt after that and tried to chase.  Even went to the BJ table and lost another 600.  Like Jess says, guess now I know where my leaks are at.
