January 4, 2007, 11PM: Played 2 hours, Lost $100.00 at Lilac 2-10 Spread Limit
Texas Hold'em

This was a really boring game.  I couldn't catch much of anything.  Seems like when I'm running bad it's REALLY bad.  Again, like earlier in the day, if I had much of anything someone had something much bigger.  Oh well, I'm thinking it might be break time as I've fallen under the 1k mark for the first time in quite a while.

January 4, 2007, 3PM: Played 2 hours, Lost $180.00 at Big Daddy's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Not much to say here.  I played ok, still too stubborn at times.  Also ran up against some monsters with good hands of my own.  Got expensive.  Decided I'm not going to prop when particular player is in the game.  With him showing no appreciation for the game, players, servers or dealers I can't, in good conscious, aid him in his poker playing.

January 1, 2007, 12PM: Played 55 minutes, Lost $23.00 at Big Daddy's
$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (9th out of 22 Players)

Was quite card dead most the tourney.  I gambled at the end with a hand that I was quite sure had me behind, but it seemed right.  It wasn't.  Oh well.  By the way, pocket 10's will never hold up against AK.  Or at least if I hold the 10's they won't.

December 31, 2006, 3PM: Played 3 hours, Lost $200.00 at Big Daddy's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

This was a story about a man who couldn't hit the many draws that were reasonable to draw to.  That's really it in a nutshell.  Had many, good draws and really just never got there.  I do feel as though I played pretty well with given mix of crazys at the table.

December 30, 2006, 11PM: Played 3 hours, 15 minutes, Made $268.00 at Big Daddy's
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

I knew the way I was playing earlier would do me well on the day.  Played very solidly.  Was really using raises to get information that I'm often too timid to try and get other times.  Felt like I had a good read on the table.  Was in the middle of two players who like to raise and bet a lot, so I feel my play worked well for the situation.  If I can keep playing properly for the given player mix, regardless of what that happens to be, I'll really begin seeing improvement in my winnings.

Overall, I'm very happy with my day of poker.

December 29, 2006, 4PM: Played 2 hours, 45 minutes, Lost $52.00 at Big Daddy's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

I feel like a winner even with this loss.  This was a very good game for making money.  There were two very loose players to my immediate right.  I got stuck 2+ racks before I was able to take down a big pot when my wired Q's went set on turn after a flop of rainbow rags.  I'm pretty sure I was playing a bit too loosely for my first 2 racks and I tightened up my post flop play considerably.  Seemed to help some.  I only had one draw hit and did manage to suck out in a hand where I was behind on the turn and didn't know it.  Oh well, it happens to me, so I suppose I shouldn't feel too bad on the rare occasions it happens for me.

The other nice part about the day (not playing but dealing) was giving out quad K's to a very nice, and quite lucky lady who made 300+ and gave me a 50 chunk off that block.  It's nice to be appreciated ;)

December 28, 2006, 3PM: Played 1 hour, Lost $100.00 at Big Daddy's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Not much to say.  Very tough game with a handful of players that will play with anything pretty much all the way to the end.  I didn't adjust my play and it bit me.  Also, I did get pretty stubborn towards the end.  That's always bad.

December 22, 2006, 1PM: Played 1 hour, Lost $23.00 at Big Daddy's
$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (15th out of 36 Players)

Won a nice hand first one hand of the tourney.  Didn't do much until getting unlucky when I flop 2 pair and get out two paired on the turn.  Double up with KK and didn't win another from there.  Gambled towards the end to no avail.

December 20, 2006, 5PM: Played 30 minutes, Lost $25.00 at Big Daddy's (OTC)
$1/2 Texas Hold'em

Played like an idiot pretty much just for fun.  Seemed like if Shane and I were in a hand he'd have a monster against my decent 2 pair or better 2 pair vs. mine type of thing.  Oh well, it was fun and we did get a 4/8 game going with this one.

December 20, 2006, 4PM: Played 1 hour, Lost $100.00 at Big Daddy's (OTC)
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Didn't play as I should have with the mix of players at the table.  So, nothing much to say other than I need to play smarter at a table with more than about one maniac.
