July 25, 2006, 8PM: Played 1 hour, 12 minutes at Venitian - Las Vegas
$110 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (50th out of 60 Players)

Jesse took 1/2 my action after the rebuys(50,5) and the juice the total came to 180.

Very frustrating touny.

Here's how it started.

AQs, raise, flop comes, muck.
AKo, raise, flop comes, muck.
88, raise, flop comes, muck.
AJs, raise, flop comes, muck.

First hand that looked promising had 44 in the sb.  3or4 limpers, I call and the bb checked.

Click here for the preflop odds of the hands that were revealed

Flop came Qh8h4s, I bet 375 (600or500 in the pot), two limpers call, and the guy in last position goes all in.

I call all-in, next limper calls, next limper thinks thinks calls all-in.  The only guy I have covered is the 2 limper.

Here are the hands:
Limper 1(biggest stack): Qs9s
Limper 2(smallest stack): KhTh
Button (2nd largest stack): AsQc

Turn comes 6h

River comes the Ac, but since I had the flush guy covered, I triple what I have left leaving me with 1600-1700.

1X round the table later I have KhQh in l8 position raise to 375 with 1500 left. BB calls (guy with Qs9s from earlier).

Flop comes Qd8h7h.  BB bets 1k I go all in. He rolls over Qs8s.

July 22, 2006, 2AM: Played 3 hours, 54 minutes at Aladdin - Las Vegas
$60 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (3rd out of 60 Players)

Field was really weak.  EXTREMELY WEAK.  Played SLB the whole tourny... knew when to lay down my medium pairs.  Played Final Table SLB.  Down to 3 players.... I am chip leader, I raise 1/6 of my stack (roughly 2-3X BB) BB goes all in.... hands roll over KQ suited to A9(me)... he rivers a gut shot to make the nut st8.  If I win that hand, I easily win the tourny, as the other player is a weak player and only plays strong hands...I was stealing his blind a lot 4&5 handed at the final table.  If he called I knew he had something....  I go bust against the same guy that I doubled up with KsQs against AhKc.  I raise 2-2.5X BB he puts me all in (I have already committed roughly 40% of my stack) I call...

July 20, 2006, 10PM: Played 6 hours, 42 minutes at Wynn - Las Vegas
$8/16 Texas Hold'em

Played very stong at first...up a rack+, then came off my win plus 200 to a donkey then 3 next hands I played.  Lost my emotion and then went on screaming tilt...blew off 3 more racks...Then started playing like a complete maniac... getting plenty of action the whole time... all pots after this were 1-2 racks... never switched gears and slowed down... was a dumb ass for blowing my bankroll again...  done with poker on my own money for a while...  Maybe play in <100 buy-in tournys, no live games.

July 17, 2006, 2PM: Played 8 hours, 42 minutes at Wynn - Las Vegas
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Loved the game.  Played like at a rock at first.  Then started to gamble a little.  After a few hours how a read on every player wether they were new or had been there for a while.  Had the game jammed up a few different time.  After 5-6 hours players that were big winners in the game couldnt get up because they saw my stack and all thought I was a donkey except the one guy on my left.  He still tried to get tricky with me, but I could still read through him.  Had the game exactly where I wanted most of the night and after 1 hour in the session always had sugar.  Only had 2 big pairs snapped.  One was an easy lay down after the flop (KK) luckily the ace came, because someone flopped middle set.  Loved the game all night, had fun, played well (as a maniac) and it was good to book a strong win in such a low limit game.

July 17, 2006, 12PM: Played 54 minutes at Bellagio - Las Vegas
$240 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (5th out of 10 Players)

Ran into the donkey on my right, right in the beginning(25-50).  After he limps, I limp in middle pos with AJs. On the flop its us two and the blinds.  Flop J63 rainbow.  Everyone checks to me I bet 150.  Blinds muck he calls.  Turns a J.  He checks I bet 275.  He check raises me 325 more.  I call.  Rivers an 8.  He goes all in.  Donkeys has J6o.  Leaves me with 150 in chips.  Very next hand AJs again.  I go all in.  4 other calls, and the donkey to my right who limped again, goes All in.  Elminates the field but me and him.  He has ATo.  I now have 900.  Have a stack to play with again.

When the blinds get to 100-200 the donkey to my right raises it to 600, I have AKo, I make it 1400 to go all in.  He calls with KTs in hearts.

July 17, 2006, 10AM: Played 48 minutes at Bellagio - Las Vegas
$240 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (5th out of 10 Players)

Picked up one hand early KK, and increased my stack size 500 without seeing a flop.  Saw AQs besides that and desided to lay it down on the button, with an UTG raiser and the guy on my going all in for 600, with the blinds 50-100.  Both donkeys roll over KJo.  A High good, could have made a move on the flop with it as it came 8 high with a flush draw for me.  Im sure the original raiser has to check that flop.  Went busted with the blinds 100-200 in BB with 800(600+200) left with A9s. Button made it 500, I got the read that he might be weak but wasnt laying the hand down.  Thought I had the best hand. Also 9's where hot at the table (stupid superstition to base a move on).  I go all in, read was wrong he has AQo.  Buh Bye Jimmy

July 13, 2006, 2PM: Played 3 hours, 36 minutes at Bellagio - Las Vegas
$1,000 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (76th out of 159 Players)

Played well, but ran horrible.  After the first break picked up one hand and double a guy up.  After that for the next two rounds I didnt pick up or play one hand including my blinds.  Got blinded and anted off to 2300.  Im in the BB for 400 invested.  200 in antes in the pot.  There are 3 limpers giving me a grand total of 1800 to try and steal with my remaining 1800.  Since I hadnt played a hand for 1 1/2 hrs, I figured the table would have a tight image of me.  So I raise all in with 3h5h.  UTG limper thinks for a sec and mucks.  Button limper thinks thinks thinks, and moves all in behind me.  SB limper mucks with out hesitation.  Button rolls over Ah2h.  Covering a lot of live outs that I thought I would have against any hand that could limp.  But who limps with A2 in a 1k tourny? Who calls an all-in bet with A2 in a 1k tourny? Well I guess this guy.  Here is my 2to1 odds on my money after seeing the hand.  Click here for the Preflop odds I miss everything, all I needed was a pair and couldnt find it.

July 13, 2006, 11AM: Played 2 hours, 12 minutes at Bellagio - Las Vegas
$240 Buy-In Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 10 Players)

Played much better in this satelite than the first.  Ran Excellent.  Had 1/2 the chips most of the tourny.  Busted two guys to help me get the stack.  The two hands AKvsAJ and KKvs99.  Blinds got to 500-1K before it ended.  Played SLB the whole tourny.  This won me a seat into the 1K buy daily at the Bellagio.  Had someone who bought 25% of my action making my total loss for the satellites $80.

July 13, 2006, 9AM: Played 36 minutes at Bellagio - Las Vegas
$240 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (8th out of 10 Players)

Wasnt fully functional to play.  Brain hadnt turned on yet and didnt play a few hand fully thinking.  Sat around and watched the rest of the Sat.  Watched Jesse take a bad beat with ak vs a7 3 handed leaving him with 1 chip.  He took that chip and double though the next 3 hands. Coming back to make the top 2 which both won seats into the tourny.  Watching his play through the satellite helped me to start thinking and get my mind into a strong poker state.
