$30 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (25th out of 44 Players)

Rebuy Tourny, Had a great stack going into the break.  Didnt pick up anything after the break, just blinded off.

The hand I went bust on, I was in the SB with A3 off.  Everyone mucked to the button, he raised.  This donkey has been raising with shit from the Button and SB against me if everyone mucks to him, So I come back over the top all-in, hopeing the BB has nothing.  BB had JJ, but my read on the button was right as he had K2o.

$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Went in to collect some money owed to me.  Parlayed it into the game to help get the thing fired up.  Game filled up so I thought I would take my win and book it.

$150 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (715th out of 1051 Players)

In the first round the situation that fears me the most cause its so hard to lay down is having AA vs another pair, when they flop a set.  I didnt raise much preflop in the cutoff.  Blinds where still small since it was the 1st round.  I bet a reasonable amount on the flop compared to the size of the pot.  Try not to get carried away since it is the 1st round.  Button calls.  I bet a little less than 2x my flop bet.  Button raised me 1.7X my turn bet.  River he bet less than the turn bet & raise.  I called.  He flopped a set of Jacks.  This cut mys stack down to almost 1/2 of starting.  I was able to recover and pick off a couple pots after.  Getting back to more than 110% of starting by the start of round 3.  Round 4: Ran awefull.  Play 3 hands in a row.  First hand middle pos with AQ.  Raise a little, get 3 way action.  Flop a gutshot draw. Checked around.  Turn Hit the gut shot.  checked to me, I bet, both call.  River comes a blank.  Blind shoves all in.  I call behind me calls.  All have AQ.  3 way split.  Next hand I have QQ, I raise, 2 callers AK-Rag flop.  Fuck.  Next hand AJ in the BB, I call a raise like an idiot.  Flop come A-rag-rag.  I check raiser bets.  Turn comes kinda a scare card.  I bet trying to move him off his hand a little less than 1/2 of my depleted stack.  He puts me all in.  Not thinking I called.  AK.  Im toast.

Dont know what I did this tourny.  But I didnt play well at all.  Dont know if I got distracted, or what..  Dont know if losing with AA like that in the beginning set my mood for the tourny.  What ever the situation that happened, I have to letter go and focus for my next tourny.

Played in the 7 tournaments listed above to sharpen my online tourny skills with my sugar from the Sunday Million.

Learned a few things from playing in these for online tournys:

-Smaller Buy-in players like to bluff with their whole stack.
-Watch out for players that flop a set when you have an over pair like AA or KK.  I busted out and crippled myself in of 3 of these tournys having an over pair to a set. (AA, KK, 99)
-A lot of players over play AK.
-Watched a lot of players call large bets on the flop with a flush draw, even some players making large bets with one.

I ran absolutely horrible in these tournys.  I get called and lose with 80% to win when all the chips went in.  I won about 10-20% of my 50/50 situations.  I did not once stick my chips in with the worse hand and prevail (I know your not supposed to win these, but once would be nice, and with it happening to me on a few occassions).  Have pair vs pair with the bigger pair and losing to a set (Happened 5X - the other two times the chips were all-in preflop - Donkeys with 66 and 44).

Glad I got these things outta the way, I can take a break from the online tournys for a week, and take my stab again on sunday.

BTW D You can spell and grammer check this for me.  I shure I invented a new word or two.

$200 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (337th out of 7034 Players)

Sunday Million on Stars

First hour of play I stayed right around the 10K in starting chips.  It wasnt till the 2nd hour that my stack really started to move.  I got down to 3.5K, then tripled up.  Got the stack back to around 10K and then doubled up back to back with 77 and AA.  That shot me up to 40K.

After that i just was able to pick up a few hands here and there to keep right around avg.  Then the money came.

Here is where my stacks started to make major roller coaster rides.  I got down to 35K after having 170K with the blinds 4-8K and then double up there.  A few hands later I added 30K to my stack with QQ.  And then the hand later I doubled up with JJ vs AJ.

As we got deeper into the tourny I got my stack up to 160K again.  Then I picked up AQs in the big blind and flopped 3 Q's against a flush draw, which double me up to 300+ K.

A couple of rounds later around the table I have QQ in the BB with the blinds 5-10K.  Guy in l8 position with about 20K more in chips than me raises it to 35-45K.  I have KK so I reraised him another 100K.  He then put me all in.  I called.  He had AA. I went broke.

This is where online tournys I have a huge disadvantage to live tournys.  I did not know my player as I was getting distracted about that time to see what kinds of hands he was raising and playing with.  Also to get that read of the player.  Usually when put into a situation I take the time to count down my chips and make a good decision.  I would usually take the time to at least run through my head, this guy could bust me does he have AA?
