December 22, 2008, 7PM: Played 6 hours, 36 minutes at Lucky Lil's - Butte
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Played Stellar.

I had my game pretty mixed up for most of the night.  One Bad situation that I ran into, I have QQ, and there is a raise to 7 right before me and I make it 27, there is a caller.  The previous raiser maxes it out the pot at 300, I almost layed it down as I kinda thought he might have a KK or AA.  But then I thought for the other caller was going to call the rest also costing me only 72 more, I would get close to the odds to draw to the 2 outter, and then again he might have JJ or TT.  I was wrong all around, the other guy mucked his hand to the raise and the raiser had AA.  Oops.

To see if im right, I needed to be at least a 24% favorite (underdog) to win the hand to call the 72.  Being wrong I needed to be a least a 36% favorite (underdog) to get the right odds.  At best scenario (2 live flush draws) Im a 19% underdog to win the hand, take in 5% that I might have the best hand I get my 24%. Odds of AA vs QQ mixed suits

Most of the time I let hands that like rattle me, It had me rattled for a round or two, in which I didnt even play a hand, sat out a little bit to go smoke.  I came back focused again, peeled off a couple chips and then proceeded to pick up another 300 to my win.

One key to my win was being focused, trying to avoid situations of big pots, which become crap shoots with the 300 pot limit.  Continually played for small pots.  Played confident, a flaw (not playing confident) that has been contributing to my losing sessions lately.  I didnt set a win goal.  Seems like every time I set a mark to try and win, I will lose at least twice that much.
