February 5, 2010, 4PM: Played 2 hours, 30 minutes, Made $615.00 at Sandia
$5 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Pocket Aces are awesome.  Really tight game with Nick G., Jimmy, Big Jim, Lee, and Daniel.  My second hand I raise to $15 from UTG+2 and everyone folds.  At the 1/2 I just left, Enrique is doing $20 every other hand.  WTF.  I flop a set of eights and call the flop then bet the turn and river.  The game is so tight I could not even check raise with it.

I get AsAc in the hijack.  Daniel opens for $25 so I know he probably has a big pair.  I make it $60 thinking he might re-raise.  It folds to him and he just calls.  Flop is Jh9h4c.  He checks and I bet $90.  He thinks and then bets my last $250.  I am screaming on the inside as this is the third time today with AA.  But, I really think he has an over pair here so I call.  I show him right away and he looks pissed.  The turn is another J and now I am really screaming on the inside having visions of AJ.  The river is a blank and he throws his hand in the muck and a Queen flashes.  Must have been QQ.  That super pot finally got me up.  Have I told everyone how much I love pocket Aces?
