February 7, 2010, 3PM: Played 8 hours at Rama
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

dealt 88 in BB. 2 limpers, Hijack raises to 15, folded to me, call, 1 limper calls. Flop: 874 rainbow, checked around. Turn: 7 making 2 diamonds, I bet 15, get called by HJ. River: K non-diamond. I bet 30, he folds.

910o UTG. I haven't played a hand in a while, and I'm a little frisky, so I raise to 12. Button calls, SB reraises ai for 22 more and we both call. Flop: 1085 rainbow. I bet 35 into the dry side pot, and button thinks for a bit before calling. River is blank, we both check. button shows A8, and I scoop his 35 in the side pot to show a 13 profit, sb shows queens and takes the main pot.

A spades 7 diamonds in SB. 6 limpers, I complete, BB checks. Flop: AK7 2 spades.I check because I'm the first to act of 6, hoping I can check raise someone. If I'm closer to last to act, I probably bet this to protect against the flush draw. It's checked around. Turn is blank, but puts 2 hearts on board. I bet 15, and get calls by 1 player. River: 7 clubs. I bet 30, and get called, but he mucks when I show my boat.

UTG w/ KJo. I'm feeling frisky again, so I raise to 7. get 6 callers, flop: 744 w/ 2 diamonds. I cbet 20, and get 2 caller. turn: black K. I bet 35, get called again. River: 8o, I check expecting him to bet a busted flush draw so I can raise him out of the pot, but he checks it too and shows A4o for trips and the pot.

44 in LP, 3 limpers to me, I limp too, 7 players see the flop. Flop: K107 2 spades, checked around. Turn: 4 of spades. I bet 20, only CO calls. River: 2o. I bet 40, CO folds after thinking about it for a little bit. He claims he had pocket 2s, and mucked the set. Everyone is guessing at what I had, noone is anywhere close to correct.

Q10clubs in SB, limped around to me, I complete, BB checks, 8 players. Flop: 729 2 clubs. I check, its checked to MP who bets 15, button and I call. turn: 9 clubs making my flush. I bet 30, MP raises ai to 110. I tank for a bit, and think why he'd bet so much there. He's shown big bluffs before, so I know he;s capable of bluffing off his whole stack, and I decide to make a Hero call. neither of us show, and river is another club(6 I think). I'm not happy with a 4th club, and I think I mutter a curse under my breath. He's being a dick about showing his cards, so I table my Q high flush, and he looks all pissed and mucks. I don't think he had a J high flush, so he's either pissed I took so long to call(which a couple people on my end of table said I shouldn't have taken so long), or he's pissed he tried to bluff at a flush so soon after showing a winning bluff. Either way I double up to $300, and he leaves the table all pissy.

AJs in SB. MP raises to 7, I re-raise to 26( I only wanted to make it 21, but a fifth red chip got stuck to the fourth. MP calls. Flop: 1092 rainbow. I check, MP bets 25, I re-raise to 110, hoping to buy the pot and represent aces. He thinks for a bit before folding.I don't show, but say phew under my breath, and let everyone know i didn't mean to make it 26.

After the first 5 hours(when all these hands take place) I'm up almost 200, but I start going card dead, I raise preflop with decent-good holdings, and have to fold when unimproved, or reraised. I get moved when my table breaks, and I have a guy on my right thats taking up 2 spots, and has ~1500 in front of him, and Isabella on my left, who has about the same as me, but likes to overbet preflop so that I can't take any flops unless I have the goods. I start to bleed chips, to the point where I'm down to a little over my 100 buy-in. At about 11, the table breaks, and while I'd like to go home, I decided to goto another table, hoping for new people to bluff out of some pots, and maybe get some cards. Big stack doesn't come to my table, so I feel pretty good about the move when this hand comes up.

AKs on Button. 3 limpers to me, and I raise to 7(I meant to make it 12). Get 2 callers. Flop: KJ2 all diamonds. Checked to me, I cbet 15. MP calls, CO folds. Turn: 6o, I bet 45, MP calls. River 10o. I only have 35 left here, and I decided before I saw that 10 that I was gonna 3 barrel the river no matter what(unless another diamond hit). MP takes my thunder and announces 50. I tell him I only have 35 and call. I tell him immediately your flush is good, and I wait to muck my hand for him to show it. He announces flush, and tables 64 diamonds.

I can't help but think if I'd made it 12 rather than 7, he would have folded, and I would have a slight profit to the night, rather than being down $100. Plus I think my turn bet was a litle weak..I have to push my last $80 or check there, and in hindsight a check would've been prudent. But he played it very dangerously just calling with a baby flush. What if I had AK with the ace of diamonds, if a diamond hit, he'd be sol.

So that was my night. 8 hours of pretty good play, capped off with 1 badly played hand that took me from an night where I broke even to being down 100. I really didn't like that second table I was at, especially my position. I couldn't make any moves, and my chip stack suffered.
