June 21, 2006, 7PM: Played 1 hour, 42 minutes at Harrah's - Las Vegas
$100 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (7th out of 20 Players)
Played SLB, was against basically a field of donkee's... Took two bad beats against the same guy. Last one took all but 300 in chips with the blinds 400-800.
Bad Beat #1:
Had TT vs 33, board is Q 7 2 rainbow, bets 1/3 of his stack before the flop. I call. Bets the rest of his stack on the flop, I think, put him on AJ or AK, or smaller pair and call. 90% favorite at this point. Hand costs me 35% of my stack. River is the god awful 3.
Bad Beat #2
Blinds are 400-800, im utg with KK and limp. Just the blinds are in action. Flop is K T 4 w/2clubs. BB goes all in, I call before the hands are rolled over he anounces a K is good, so I say how bout two. He has QTo both red. Im a 96.7% favorite here. He has only 2 ways to make a hand that can beat me. The 2 case T's, or perfect perfect for the st8. Turns an A, and you guessed it river is the J.
I wanted to puke. With that pot I can easily make the money they way I was playing. 3 Places pay. But there would have been 2nd in chips. With the chip leader directly to my left. At the level the blinds where at, the other shorter stacks wouldnt have lasted long.
