do I have to start every ramble on here or what? can't you guys chime in with something to get everyone riled up or do I have to do it all myself?
all I know is we can't invite that person that is lying on the site to the omaha event if I am not invited. If I have to be punished for being rude on here then this guy certainly gets the same treatment for all these bogus posts.

Bustoooo
 Well, I spoke too soon last night. I lost about $100 playing $.5/1nl and another $100 in tourneys (won 1/5 - bubbled twice after being chip leader). Also, I did some sorting on poker tracker to see if I could gather any lessons learned from this disaster. Interesting results here:
Well fuck me then, I guess I will just have to hold on on depositing any more money for a while. I should be getting about $150 back next month from Rakeback. Not sure if I should even waste my time with it or just cash it out until I can really fund my account. I realized that it was tough for me at times to play so low. Although at 6-max I was making a profit, I think my biggest leaks were calling down light too often and bluffing in some wrong spots. I know a lot of my bluffs would likely work in a tougher game, but not so much at the lower levels.
In other words, I learned 3 lessons from this attempt.
1) Don't play HU - you suck at it.
2) Don't bluff against someone - especially not if you don't have a history with the person.
3) Wait until you can pour some meaningful money into poker again and then go about it with 100% seriousness and effort.

Still here... just a little beat down.
Well, I needed a good week or so off poker. Of course, it didn't hurt that I was so sick I couldn't even walk last week. Went back home for Easter, got to see the Fiance and parents, was really nice. +50 Rakeback +100 donking around, still got some life left. Nowhere near my original deposit of $600 though. I also have another $100 in rakeback for this month so far. I guess I will just donk a lil today/tonight and then eventually get back to multi-tabling. I am going to bump down from 6 to 4 tables and work it at $50nl. More later...

Aggression
 I've been thinking about my play over the last few months and it seems as though I'm feeling weaker than maybe I should be. I've begun not raising some of the bigger hands that I would have raised with in the past. Example AK in late position. If there is more than about one caller I have a hard time raising these days as it gets no one out of the pot. As far as I've ever known that was the reason for raising. Maybe I need to rethink that. My thinking behind that is with the added aggression of the raise maybe then and only then will people put me on the bigger hand.
The other thing that seems to be happening is major bad cards. I know that some of my losses with them comes with how I play them but I just can't seem to be able to come to grips with starting to raise with junk when more often that not when I do I seem to end up agains big hands.
Anyone think these thoughts are nuts? Correct thinking? Any thoughts out there???

New Beginnings
Poker was previously put on the back burner. Mainly because sports betting was becoming a larger focus for me. Also, I think I was getting a little burned out on Poker and the laws that were recently passed didn't help that cause at all.
However, about a month ago I was talking with some old poker buddies and it renewed my interest in the game again. I re-installed PokerStars back on my computer and had found that I had about 18 bucks in my account that I had never taken out.
So I figured, I would start to play with that money. I entered into a $4 180-seat tourney and came in 5 place and that awarded me $47. I had tripled my roll in a matter of hours. But of course it could not end there.
I did not want to play large MTTs as they take too much time and my patience runs thin with them. I did not want to play SnG's as I just have bad memories of them. So I settled on the 45 seaters as it was a promising compromise.
Well, 84 games later my bankroll now has over $200 in it and I'm strolling along with a ROI of 59% and I'm in the money a good 21% of the time.
When I hit $250, I plan to move up to $5 buy ins. And I'll just keep moving up accordingly with maintaining a bankroll of 50x the buyin.

KARMA OF TARGET POKER
 I find it very gratifying to pick on someone who is an asshole at the table. A moajority of the time I do rather well singling out one person and eating them up....plus, Karma comes into play with the assholes and non tippers.
Sometimes, even when I lose, I still get gratification from just busting the pigeon in the process!

Poker Tournaments - Combating Aggressive Continuation Bettors
 I was recently finishing an online NLH poker tournament for my father and was faced with an aggressive player two to my right(button when my BB). She would auto raise pre-flop if folded to her 99% of the time and continuation bet post-flop 90% of the time.
I decided to do battle with her. It was a lot of fun and challenging. She eventually busted me when my QQ got tangled with her 77, all the chips went in pre-flop and she outdrew me.
I find playing like a rock and trapping the agro works best with the least risk of going broke.
As this happens a lot to us, especially online, I would like to know how the rest of you handle yourselves in a situation like this?

tourneys
 To help all my fellow Loggers, I've got a little word for you all to hear. For those that routinely play on Pokerstars, you may have already noticed this, but with the tourneys on Pokerstars theyre about the best ive seen out there considering online cardrooms. They have a 20% payout and the rises in blinds is quite mild compared to some with crazy structures, like partypoker IMHO.
You can literally sit and manipulate the pot by not playing too crazy in the initial limits. Bet small and dont get caught up into too much money too early. Play only big hands and you'll likely make it over the bubble just before you need to start making some tough decisions. Seriously, Ive seen half the field drop alot before the first break is ever taken. More than half sometimes, then it aint too long until they start dropping just in time to push you into the money. Sure there may be other strategies designed to get you to the top finishers, but i really think if you do this and then start playing smart in the later stages, youll finish at the top, but finish overall ITM at a higher percentage than playing flatout poker like you would in a ring game.
Edit: I'm talking about lowstakes NL Holdem tourneys here, not sure if the same strategy would work in other games.
