Three big calls, and only got one out of three right. The one I got right was a huge cooler. I raise with AQ suited spades, and flop come 10 high with two spades. There's about $30 in the pot, and two players. He checks, and I bet the pot hoping to take it down right there. We actually goes over the top all in, and I have about $90 remaining. $90 into $240, is about 2 1/2 on my money. I thin he has a 10 with a weak kicker and he's trying to get me out of the pot. I call and he's on a flush draw! I figure I was good, turn comes spade, I have the nuts! River comes another spade... he looks at the pot and says, I have a straight flush! Guy hits runner runner straight flush! That was rough. I played another pot with pocket 2s, flop comes 773. I put him on two overs and raised him flop bet. He called instantly and then checked to me on the turn. I thought about it for a second and thought he was done with hand, so I just checked. Of course, he puts in $80 on river and I have to fold. He actually said I know you can't call, which typically means 'call me call me'. Unfortunately, he was being honest and only had overs.
Didn't get dealt any big pairs. The streak is pretty bad right now. I gotta remember to stay patience and discipled. Long term game, who cares what happened in Jan 2008 (besides Zachariah of course)

won several pots without a showdown, but had the best hand each time. table thought i was just some agro asshole, so i didnt get any respect later. had top pair with KQ and some guy check raised me allin. he had a naked flush draw and hit. doubled him up. then raised with AA, got 2 callers. flop J88, guy leads into me, i smooth call. turn is T. he check calls my bet. river is another T. this time he checkraises allin. i know he doesnt have a ten in his hand. did he just have a big jack? no way a straight is possible. when he led out on the flop, i originally put him on an 8. but to checkraise allin that river card with bottom full house just doesnt make any sense. i couldnt put him on a hand that beat me, so i called. he has 7h8h. jeez. what i terrible play that is. sure i could have folded, but his play made not sense whatsoever. and yet hes the one with the money. shitty

$2 Pot-Limit Omaha
lost a good sized pot when i flopped bottom 2 pair with a flush draw, bet pot on the flop and turn, and we checked down the river. the guy missed his higher flush too, but he turned a higher 2 pair than me. doubled up when my top set of kings held against 2 flush draws. then, $5 button straddle with 6Q33. flop comes JJ3. one guy wants to bet, but doesnt. he obviously has a jack. checks to me and i bet the pot. he calls. turn is a 4. he check calls my pot bet again. now the pot is over $300. river is a 6. he makes a face like its the worst card in the world, then he moves allin. gee, wonder if he filled up. so obvious, but its only $120 to call. he shows me J6KT rainbow. nice catch buddy. he was smart enough to know that his hand was probably not best, but not smart enough to lay it down. this is the prime example why i hate omaha

$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em
Ugh... Wasn't a whole ton of fun playing today. Had a borderline hand that I decided to fold. Was pretty sure I was beat, altho I had the second nuts with a re-draw. If he had the nuts the pot odds were'nt favorable even if I allowed for a 10% chance of him bluffing. But after that I was never able to get my chip stack back up. The table tightened up, I changed tables, and still, it was tight. Couldn't catch a strong hand, my bluffs weren't working consistantly enough. My big hands got folded to a lot. Eventually I just decided it was more painful that posative to continue playing, and I left. Hate that I've been losing in this 1/3 game. It's really a pretty solft game. I did notice I was playing a lot of residents and regulars, some pros in that game. Not so many fish.

I was tired, so I was kinda torn on weather or not I should actually play. Once I sat down it all came really easy to me. Was making excellent reads and played great. Had a questionable hand towards the end where I has 10's and I put my opponent on JJ or 99. Made a raise to 3x his bet on the flop and he went all in. I folded, he showed JJ and I was happy. Just not sure if I could've saved that last bet. Overall I was really happy with how I played. I was relaxed and the play came vary naturally.

OMG...one limp and i call with KJspades, button limps, SB limps....flop comes JT2 and I shove and button calls, everyone else folds...button shows AQ!, overs and gutshot and he had 3 ppl behind him that could call! holy shit...he rivers the A of course...

$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em
I was playing good, I think. had a good table image that I could mold and use as I pleased. Was just kinda getting ready to run for a while, up from my $200 buy in to around $400. Then I misplayed a hand... perhaps. (opinions welcome) KJ suited in the cutoff. Guy who just sat down and raised several prior hands raises again. I call, tight guy on the blind calls. Flop is J hi, w/ a flush draw. Tight player bets, raiser calls. I should've called, I think. I raise 3x the bet, tight player calls, raiser goes all in, i fold, tight player calls. Tight playe shows QQ and raiser shows AQ for 2 overs and a flush draw. Turn is a K and river makes the flush. The way i see it, had I called I would've gotten 2 checks to me on the turn, I make a big bet and they both (should) fold.
What sent me over the edge was a few hands later. Same action player raises again, i have AQ suited, I call in position, 2 or 3 other players call. Flop is AQ6 w/ the 6 of my suit and the AQ suited. Raiser bets around 1/3rd of the size of the pot when he usually bets 65%-100% of the size of the pot. I needed to either call to trap on the turn, or raise big like I did w/ my KJ before I mucked. instead I raise only 2.5x his bet. He folds, i win a small pot.
The combination of the 2 hands sent me on tilt. I got up to cool off and decided to pick up and go home. No need to donk off my chips, I'm off work tomarrow and the game will always be there.

$1.25 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (5th out of 45 Players)
Played probably one of the best tournaments I've ever played. Was playing off my image around the bubble and was aggressive in the right spots. At the final table, my image was that I was pretty LAG. A few hands prior to the hand I went out on, I pushed over the top of a guy with A10s, and he ended up having AK. That's a play I will make EVERY time, especially with a big stack. So, 3 or 4 hands after that, this is what happens and what I went out on. I knew that this was the perfect situation to get a huge chip stack from playing off my image:

$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em
Played ABC.. game was pretty easy to beat, just had to be patient.
Learned something about my own table image that I must keep aware of.. players think I am a knowledgable player that can get out of line from time to time and as well can lay down a hand. This is a good image to have but then again they also make plays at me.. example.
Second day in a row I've been bluffed off a pot by an obvious move. This hand today is not so simple but in retrospect I should have paid the small amount on river and been done with it.. hands, I'm the straddler with K3s, UTG raises from $4 to $15 total, 5 players call, flop is Q72 with two of my suit, SB and I check, pre-raiser continuation bets only $30, limper, SB and I call. The turn brings a K giving me top pair. Now I lead out $40 into about a $180 pot, weak I know (this was my mistake). Then the pre-raiser mucks the limper makes it $100 and the SB folds. I can't put this guy on a hand here other than a small set. Doubt he has AK with all the callers(would have mucked on the flop) and he seems to be a bright player. I call the $60 to catch my flush and miss, left with top pair no kicker, the board is now [Qc 2c 7h] [Ks] [Jd] he fires $100 on the river into a $400 pot. I should have insta-called. If he was really value betting he would have bet $200 or more.
I need to slow down sometimes and rethink my play when making decisions..
