February 10, 2008, 9PM: Played 6 hours, 4 minutes, Lost $200.00 at Forrests
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

doubled early when i flopped a set and got it allin vs asohrt stack on a straight draw, a short stack with top pair and BJ, who flopped top pair and a flush draw. http://onlinepokerlog.com/odds/holdem/5c5s-JdTd-Jh8d-3s4c/Jc5d2d nice hold. didnt do anything for awhile. then this older guy came in. i think he was pretty much wasted and he coudlnt play worth a damn. so i waited for a spot to get it in against him. i had AQ in the bb and everyone limped. this guy wanted to raise but he couldnt figure how to put his chips out without it being a string bet. i was about to make it $30 more to isolate him, but the dealer flopped it without my option. anyway, flop came down As4s5h. everyone checked around to him and he bet $100 into about a $14 pot. at this point i put him on an ace weaker than mine or some small pair, but i know he could have a flush draw. i'm certain that my hand is best, so i check raise to put him allin for about $120 more. he calls. the board comes 5s, 7s. 4 spades on board and i dont have one. i turn my hand up. he looks at his cards and the board for long time like he's trying ti figure out what he has. all the player and some of the people watching start saying everything that can beat me and asking him if he has this or that, trying to help him. "do you have a spade? all you need is one.""do you have a six? and six beats him." so he turns over a six, 56h to beat me. whatever happened to one player to a hand? i dont think he understood he had a straight til someone told him. nice suck out. i had a little left over and a couple of hands later, he doubled me when i moved allin preflop with QQ for $75 and he called with Q5h. but i lost another big pot soon after. i only smooth call a raise with JJ. flop comes Q high, we check it around, the button moves all like i thought he would. he bet $80 into abou a $30 pot. i call with JJ. he shows me AJo. spikes an ace on the turn to beat me. wtf man? at the end, i gave away $120 when the game was near braking. this guy started talking about moving allin so he could go. so he moves in and shows jacks. the very next hand he moves in again. i have T7d and ask him if he will run it twice if i call. he says sure and turns over KK. jeez, back to back monsters after declaring he was gonna move in? i missed both times anyway...i thought my shitty luck was over after winning 3 sessions in a row, but i got thumped back to earth tonight with 3 pretty aweful bad beats. gay

February 10, 2008, 6PM: Played 2 hours, Lost $200.00 at Kaloosa
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

this is a new game that is run by the skyline guys, but its located at hamners old place. game never got full. only played a couple of hands. had to fold to top 2 pair when bj made his flush on the turn. later had TT. made it $16. snuffy reraised from the bb to $50. i know that my tens are best, so i push in knowing that i'll be called. he calls $120 more. i flip over my tens and ask him if he wants to run it twice. he says no. board comes 9 high. he shows me 99 for top set. really?! did he really just do that? i offered to run it twice and he turned it down knowing that he only had 2 outs in the whole deck. who in their right mind would turn down that offer? what a joke!

February 11, 2008, 11PM: Played 1 hour, Made $145.00 at Club Gravity
$1/2 Texas Hold'em

This place has a $1000 freeroll every Monday and Thursday plus cash games a little after the tournament starts. I just went all in blind on the freeroll and I got knocked out 2 hands in I really didn't care it was free. My buddy Steve who writes on here bust soon after and we got Primantis(restuarant close by) and then I came back.

I got in the mood where I didn't even want to play, my friend kept bugging me to play so I bought $150 and sat down and only playing for an hour.

Theres about 4 limpers, I'm on the button with q/9 off I call SB complete BB checks. Flop comes Qs/As/Qd.. My friend is first to act he bets $7 BB makes it $15.. folds to me I have no idea what either have I make re raise another 50 more.. my friend goes all in for another $43 BB folds I call he has q/5.. my kicker plays at the end.. I scopp the pot he should've never asked me to play ha!

February 11, 2008, 5PM:
My Locations

We noticed in our own logs and others that the 'locations' for places played are inconsistent.

An example is say, Full Tilt Poker.  We list it as; Full Tilt, Fulltilt, FT, FTP etc.  This may not seem bad but when viewing your "more stats" by location pages you end up getting multiple graphs and information for the same place, because there is a slight variance in spelling.

To consolidate a location you can now go to your "My Account" section. Under "My Locations" click on the location you would like to change and then click "change location".  It prompts you to enter the new desired location name.
*doing this changes ALL log entries with the OLD location to the NEW location name*

Another feature added to the site is a locations drop down menu when you list a log entry.  Under location we list all your locations you play at, which can be managed under "my account".
For example, you play at Big Daddy's.  In the past you type in Big Daddys and forget the ' and then you would have two different graphs.  Now you can scroll down your locations to Big Daddy's and choose your listed spelling for consistency.

To add a new location to your list of locations you simply add an entry and choose "new location" in the drop down menu. Then on the right of this type in the new location name.  This will add the new location to your list of locations played at.

We hope this helps to keep our logs clean, neat and easier to manage.

If you have any questions or problems with this system please email us or reply to this post.

February 10, 2008, 7PM: Played 3 hours, Made $412.00 at Logans Ferry Firehall
$1/2 Texas Hold'em

I had an interesting drive there, the firehall I usually attend to every other sunday moved to a new place and of course I got lost trying to find it but eventually found my way.

Two tables were going on when I walked in, average chip stack looked below $150, just bought in for that.

My stack was quickly down to a $100 again after losing with A/K, Javks, and A/10. I picked up Kings in 2nd position I make it $13 to go. Two people call flop comes q/j/6 rainbow. I bet out $25(and planning onto jamming the turn) they both call! Turn comes a 8 I Jam all in for $64 the guy after me beats me in the pot other guy folds. I flip over kings and he shows k/q.. hand holds on the river we both had similiair stack sizes.

After my double up win a couple pots here and there my stack is like 300 and change. I'm on the button theres about 5 limpers, I have pocket 8's I just call small pocket pairs I'd prefer just to call and not get in big trouble with these hands.  Flop comes k/10/8 rainbow. Guy UTG bets out $5 it goes call, call, call, on me I make it $15 to go i made it that cause I want everybody to call and the board really isn't that scary some straight possibilities. Turn is a 5 of spades now with a flush draw out there, guy UTG checks the guy after him comes out with $40 which really made no sense to me folds to me. I think about the hand now I know the guy and how he plays, hes a tight player but can get really stupid with me. A set of kings or tens are out of a question here he would've raised pre flop or re raised the flop. I'm thinking he picked a flush draw up on the turn and got crazy with it or hit 2 pair. So I came to the conclusion I'm making it 200 total here I don't want the flush draw hit here and if he does have 2 pair I'm taking all of his chips as long as the river is safe if he calls, he thinks about it for awhile hes talking hard to fold the nut draw here but I have to.

Won a couple other small pot really not worth talking about. Game breaks a little after 10 and I get to go home and watch Pulp Fiction saweeet

February 10, 2008, 9PM: Played 3 hours, Lost $160.00 at Bellagio
$5 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Played really well.  Considering some of the bad situations I was delt, I'm very happy with my result.  As I left I realized that I was actually playing my best becuase I wasn't so results oriented, which I need to be to play pro.  I had AA 3 times.  Lost $80+ twice and won $7 in blinds another time.  Had to muck my QQ, got rivered for big all in pots twice, just was getting hit from all sides.  And through it all I played reat, and kept a level head.  I had to rebuy after losing my initial $300 buy in on a good read and ugly river, then was up about $100 overall at one point.  Lost about $80 of that and the 3 action players left.  This was the time to leave, but I didn't realize that they were really THE life of the game.  They left, the table rocked up and I lost about $200 w/ bluff attempts and chasing mised draws.  Hit my 3 hr mark and bounced.  I might try to play like 4 hrs no matter what from now on.  3 to 5 seems to be the sweet spot.

Dealing and proping

I'm a dealer at a very slow casino and every day between five and seven the game takes a nose dive.  Well I get off shift at 6:30 and every night the night dealers push me into playing to help keep the game going.  I don't mind helping out the home team but I also need to prop almost every day to start the game.  Between playing to start the game and helping over the hump in the early evening I'm blowing the meek amount of tolks i make all day. It is starting to piss me off, I know that some of you are dealers and I was wondering if anyone had any good advice on how to hold onto my money a little better.

$26 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (129th out of 401 Players)

Another super sat into the $322 main event, I already have a seat for it but thought of trying to pick up some cash.

top 32 get seats...  I get destroyed my 1st hand I play.

Raise with A9 and flop Q94 two hearts, me Ace of hearts, I bet out and 56 raises me, I call and turn the 7 hearts.  So I lead out AGAIN.  This time the agro fuck moves all in with... a straight draw, 6 outs since one can't be a heart.. it hits.

I'm left with about 100 or so in chips.. I grind it all the way back up to above average, things are looking good..

I pick up AKs and raise, agro donk moves in with ATs and beats me.. annoying, that is a fold hand in his spot!
