Even when I don't go in with the best hand, I get sucked out on.  I don't know if that makes sense but It just sucks to get rivered for a huge pot.

$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (11,349th out of 22287 Players)

No suckout this time.  I'm starting this log to keep track of the many times I get sucked out on.  If that's not the case, then i'm putting up my hand history to see what went wrong.  Would be great If I get some comments on your thoughts.

In this tourney, i'm going to charge the "L" to lack of patience and lack of attention to the game.  Bad timing I think was also a factor since this guy is folding whenever he's not waking up with AK in the hole

$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (551st out of 3688 Players)

Blinds escalating pushed with 88, ran into AA and QQ At least AA held up and order was restored to the universe.

So ends my attempt at playing NLH tourneys again.  I feel better about my playing today.  The luck factor in NLH, eapecially large field tourneys, is high.  I felt I made good plays and put my money in with the best of it most of the time.  I avoided most of the mistakes that cost me tourneys before.  If I continue to play this way, I should be OK, but I don't know if I want to stomach the swings in NLH.

I enjoy playing PLO, but there are just not a lot of large field tourneys online.  I just need to keep working on my NLH game if I want to play tourney poker online, or stick to PLO Sit n Go's or the limited tourneys offered.

$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

2 hands of note. limped with A8d on moe's straddle. he made it $16 more. justin called, so i called too. flop comes AJ8 rainbow. justin led out for $15 i think. i called to bring moe in. he called. turn is blank. justin bets $35, i cold call, moe moves in for $20 more. justin folds? and i call. i turn up my hand. the river is another 8 and moe mucks. i'm pretty sure i didnt need that extra 8, but it didnt hurt. the other hand: we're playing 4 handed. marcus straddles on button for $8. justin opens for $23 from sb. i call from bb with TdTs, marcus buttoncalls. flop comes 8d7d5s. justin checks, i bet $35, marcus calls $35, leaving himself with $42. then he syas that the $2 is going in dark even though its not his turn. i know him well enough that he has me beat when he called the $35, so i know i need to improve. turn is 9d. now i'm openended strt flush draw, so i call and turn it up. river is 6h. i have a straight. marcus mucks and gets mad at the dealer, claiming a set of 8s. game breaks.

$300 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (8th out of 20 Players)

had some really big hands early. win a pot with kings, eliminated a player with JTs vs his AQ when the flop came down AKQ. i bet, he checkraised and i moved in, knowing he wouldnt be able to fold and he didnt. flopped a set 2 different times. while it was nice to run to so hot, i knew that it was still very early in the tourney and i would probably not get cards this good for the rest of the tourney. well, i did have plenty of playable hands, but i didnt get any action on them. maybe cuz i all i showed previous was the nuts so nobody would give me action. anyway, i blinded down and ended up pushing from the cutoff with A9o. my buddy was in the bb and had some chips, so i knew would let me steal his blind. bu the sb woke up with AQ and i couldnt suck out.

COOL.....

kinda NL in SPOKANE now......there is a 2-200 spread game out west of spokane now. Its the first game for me and it was crazy and i think i was not ready...
I losted wiht AA preflop to 99 hitting a set like 15 hands in that was fun....Then rebuy and sat for a while watchin how some limit players i play with played the game. I saw real NL bluffs and 900 pots. The table was also half drunk so it was kinda of hard to concentrate for me.

Overall it was really fun and i just need to play poker and not worry about my chip stack going up or down. New game for me to learn more about...

April 5, 2008, 8PM: Played 1 hour, Lost $4.44 at PS
$4.04 Buy-In Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Tournament (124th out of 510 Players)

4 handed

This is the poker equivalent of crack! 4 handed O8.  I played just to force me to play more hands, read players better, and be aggressive.  It was successful, but it hurt all of the other tournes I was playing as it monopolized my attention.  There is no down time.  I built a big stack then got crushed in 3 hands.  Second nut flush to nut flush crippled me then I can't remember what the hell came next.

Best $4.44 loss ever. This was a fun tourney.  Next time I need to make sure it is the only thing I am playing.

April 5, 2008, 10AM: Played 2 hours, Lost $30.00 at Harrah's
$30 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (20th out of 60 Players)

My first hand that I won was with KK. Standard raise and post flop bet. A lady stayed with me all the way to all in after the turn. She had two pair Q&J and had me bet until the river gave me a A high straight. She was leading off with the betting and I should have folded without a set.
This tournament starts 1500 in chips and 15 blinds, it always takes at least 200 to isolate the table. A continuation bet with two callers will cost 800 leaving you with very little to work with if you don't win the hand. Consider changing betting pattern to 100 +100 each round until final table, to survive.
