June 13, 2009, 11PM: Played 3 hours, 46 minutes, Lost $163.03 at full tilt
$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

should've known this session was coming, I was on a decent run and I got into a nice fight with the wife so I wasn't really focused.

I got stuck right off the bat playing .10/.25 so the smart thing is to jump up to .25/.50 of course and this fuckin donkey absolutely kicked my head in.  I had him drawing so bad so many times, top two to top and bottom one time, another I had middle set, he had top and bottom.  I flopped nut str. he flopped ugly end and makes runner runner flush.  it was brutal and is it got worse so did my play.  hopefully I have enough on here left to recover, but this one hurts pretty bad.

June 12, 2009, 9PM: Played 37 minutes, Lost $20.73 at full tilt
$0.25 Pot-Limit Omaha

was as usual way too tired to play, but at least I quit this time instead of getting stuck and trying to fight.  had one god awful hand that tilted some sense into me quitting.  I have a puker in the BB, KQ77 with 3 diamonds, it's min raised so I play it, flop is 10 7 6 with 2 diamonds.  I pot it instantly, gets popped and repopped back to me by two guys with pretty short stacks, I figured one has str. one has a draw so I should have outs, one has nut diamonds the other has the set of 6's and a 10 in his hand..comes runner runner 10 10 for quads.  he also had a diamond, so 9 of those are gone, hardly any board pairs left, so for that 30 buck pot I ran pretty bad.

June 11, 2009, 3PM: Played 28 minutes, Made $15.33 at full tilt
$0.10 Pot-Limit Omaha

just got on for a few before my wife got home to talk to me.  had a nice quick little run.  big hand I have Q J 10 9, it's raised preflop like 4 way action, I get the hideous 9 9 Q flop.  I bet half pot, get raised in one spot, smooth call in another so I make another raise to see where I am (and planning to fold this time!).  the post flop raiser folds, preflop raiser calls. turn 5 I go all in with it (since half my stack already in, not folding...if he has QQ gh).  he calls and shows two overpair to the 9's JJKK and the 2 peels off for the winner, yay me.

June 9, 2009, 9PM: Played 4 hours at Jared's House
$7 Buy-In Texas Hold'em Tournament (4th out of 9 Players)

Started off really good---had the chips lead going into the break, and continued to build. Got into a hand with Adam where i had an open-ended straight draw off the flop, and i called some really big bets from him---when the river landed, and i didn't catch my straight, i decided not to bluff away the rest of my chips, and i just checked. I probably lost about 70% of my chips that hand.

I did get pocket AA and also pocket KK, but everyone folded pre-flop both times...pretty unlucky.

I learned not to get in situations where i am calling big bets with a draw---i also learned not to try to bluff bad players. Both bit me bad tonight.

1st: Jared
2nd: Adam
3rd: Pablo
4th: ME

$0.10 Pot-Limit Omaha

got my affiliate money and rammed some, was up and down all over but had 2 good hands pan out, one I wake up with AA double suited vs. guy who has KQJT double suited, he pots I repot pre and he actually comes back over, I make nut flush to his 2nd nut flush on turn.  other one no real action preflop I have QQ xx, flop is Q T T, guy pots flop from blinds, I just call, he does it again on turn I just call, river same thing, he has been a rammer so I just insta repot it for 10 bucks or something he calls with just a rag 10, no full even...thanks fool.

June 5, 2009, 5AM:
lost in cash games

Today, in 3 hours at work, I lost my $17 at AP, and my just given cake poker rakeback $140. $80 ıs gone in 15 minutes.
I learned that playing cash games at work, under the pressure of time, is not a good thing at all...

I subscribed to sharkscope today, I can see the fishes there and I plan to start playing my ub pokershowoff evaluation this evening.
sharkscope.com is also good for tracing and showing my own statistics.
I intend to start a new career in poker today with starting to play the evaluation touraments.

May 27, 2009, 4AM: Played 2 hours, Lost $5.50 at Absolute Poker
$5.50 Buy-In Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Tournament (14th out of 44 Players)

Before posting my first blog entry, I want to introduce myself in short.
I was born in 1974, I am a computer engineer.
I have decided to play as a pro on 21st May 2009, a week ago. I mostly played cash games upto now, but this morning I realized that the only way to earn much in poker is to play touraments. On a ring game table, you may start with $100 and you may have $100 after playing 600 hands. I have lived that :)

This is my first tournament that I have announced on chipmeup.com Nobody bought the $1 share normally :)

PL Omaha H/L $5+$0.5
No rebuys
No add-ons
Estimated player count : 40-50
Estimated total prize pool : $220
Daily tourament. The hour and id of the tourney may be changed by Absoulte Poker.

Result : 14th of 44, first 5 paid

I was started with 1500 chips (like all the others) and I have made it 2700. I was 7th-8th for a while, but then I fell down to 11th and the stake was 100/200, I had 1700 chips.
At that point I had a flush draw and low draw also on the flop. Only the first 5 was to be paid and I might not have a better flop, so I took the risk and lost. Maybe, I could finish the tourament 8th or 9th at best if I'd played tight but only the first 5 was to be paid, so I took that risk.

June 1, 2009, 11PM:
Some deposits and some cash games

Yesterday,
I deposıted to ub $25 for pokershowoff evalutaion, they wanted me to play 60 touraments. I intend to play 100.
I hope I have good statistics about ub evaluation to get sponsored.
I also deposted ap $25 yesterday, I fell down to $15 and returned back to $25 yesterday. This morning, I won $5 and also $5 bonus and I have $35 at the moment. I am playing cash games instead of tournaments because at work and at home there is a great risk for interruption.
I am expecting $140 from cake poker rakeback on 5th of June, on Friday.

I do not involve cash games statistics here since I play them just to keep on playing and I expect %10-15 daily from them.

May 30, 2009, 9PM: Played 4 hours, Made $146.00 at Southpoint
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Enjoyed playing at southpoint. There was a nice mix of tourists and regular players. ON the last hand I had 66 and two other players in the hand with one raising preflop to 11, I called and the flope was 6410 with two being clubs. I go all in 1st to act and the guy next to me contemplates and odviously I knew then that he was on a flush draw, he calls and J folds. The turn comes and its a 4 so even better I have a full house then the river is a 6! So I hit quads and got a pay out from the casino for 161! Im gonna lay low for awhile and get myself mentally ready again.

May 28, 2009, 7PM: Played 18 minutes at Hard Rock Hotel
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

no bueno... me and m sat down at a short handed table, all players had us covered.  i'm seat 2, 9 is pushing me around from the getgo as i miss my flops.  i look at my AA and raise 4x bb he calls, Jxx flop, i bet a near pot size bet -- mistake... he decides to call and turn is a J... i mistakenly put him on a spade draw so i push all in, i should have checked to see if he just got his trips but i didn't, he calls, and shows AJ.  i didn't buy in again because i didn't have any confidence at that table... hate falling in love with aces and playing them poorly.
