July 12, 2009, 11AM: Played 35 minutes, Lost $17.00 at Lilac Lanes
$17 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (24th out of 34 Players)

Limped in about four times with suited connectors early and missed all of the flops.  Down to 1525 with blinds at 50/100, everyone folds to me in the SB and I look at K/Qo.  Decent starting hand, so I make it 300 and BB instantally moves all-in for 650 more.  Lame.  The BB is a predictable ABC player, but she seems to own me in past tournaments.  So I put her on a good hand, either a big ace or a medium to large pair.  With the blinds and my bet, I'm getting about 2-1 on my money, so I announce I hope she has Jacks or worse and call.  She shows me A/Qd.  Yuck.  Board runs A/Q/x/J/x.  I'm left with 575.
After being colored up to 600 and the blinds at 100/200, I shove with K/9o two under the gun and the BB calls with Q/8c.  Running clubs end my tournament.

July 10, 2009, 11AM: Played 1 hour, 55 minutes, Lost $22.00 at Lilac Lanes
$22 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (5th out of 24 Players)

I really don't mind busting out of a tourney taking a horrible beat, but when I donkey off my chips, that really stings.
Was doing great all tournament long, playing solid and reading my opponents well.  When we got five handed, short stack asked to give fifth place money back.  My silence along with another player awnsered his question without words.
At this point, I'm in third place and felling comfortable with my table.  Short stack has push all-in for 2600 eventually with A/10o.  I look down at wired nines and call along with another caller.  Flop comes J/9/A.  I had checked blind in first position and the other guy checks.  Turn: J.  I bet 2000, other guy folds.  Short stack is walking out the door when the third jack comes giving him the bigger full house.  Ugly river.
About ten minutes later, still five handed, I get wired 10's on the button.  I open the betting for 4500, with blinds at 500 and 1000.  It's a big bet, but I assumed it was the best hand and I'd just take it right there.  Small blind, who's the chip leader, takes about 4 seconds and shoves all his chips in.
Now I've seen this guy limp with big aces, playing fairly conservitivly.  If I fold now, I'm still left with about 8000 and still been in third place.  Instead, I don't think about it clearly and call.  His hand: A/A.  He hits quads on the turn and river and I leave mad at myself.
It might not sound like that bad a play, but believe me, it was.  For one, I over bet preflop.  I could have bet 3000 instead of 4500 and got the same information.  Also, after playing with this guy for awhile, there was no way my tens were good in that spot.  In hindsight it was so clear, so this one stings.  Hee-haw.

$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

DAMMIT!

I grind out a nice session, up about 30 bucks and it all goes away in a pot some fool never should've been in.  I have 4 6 7 8, the types of hands I love calling raises with, I am in cutoff, 5 people call, button raises to 3 bucks everyone sees it.  flop is 5 7 8 with two clubs, not the mortals but a pretty sick flop for me.  a player right in front of me pots it.  I had a note on this guy as a total donker, he went all in earlier with top and bottom pair when it went pot, repot, and he check repotted all in so I had some questions about his skills.  I call everyone else folds.  The turn is shitty for me, it's a 6, the guy checks, so now I assume club draw or maybe set, but unlikely since I have 3 pair on the set, so I make a 15 buck stab at it, which is 1/3 of it.  He of course calls and the K of clubs peels off for him.  I check behind him and about throw up when he shows A J J 4 with J 4 of clubs.  All I could do was type in, this site takes care of it's donkeys.  That 75 buck pot would've had me really nice winner.

July 10, 2009, 10AM: Played 2 hours at Hard Rock Hotel
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

decided to lay low for a couple rounds to get a feel for the table... lots of hard rock button straddles keeping the table pretty loose and aggressive. pretty sure the first hand i played was a open raise with A7s, i get min reraised by my right hand man, and call. i flop my flush draw, opponent bets the flop, i call, he checks the turn and I think i can take it down with an all in bet, worst case i have 9-10 outs to make a hand, he insta calls, i hit my flush on the river and take down a very nice pot.  put me in a great confident position to be the aggressor and handle the table for the rest of the short session.  phil gordon was at the table next to me, and the three guys to my left worked for full tilt academy and were there with phil, i used that knowledge to size my bets and it worked pretty well. all in all a good session, just glad that spade hit on that first hand!

let me get this one in fresh on my mind

typical lovely crappy hand for me that I can't avoid.

I am in bb with garbage...3789, no raise so of course I flop the nuts 7 10 J, I pot it under the gun and get a button caller.  flop was rainbow, turn is a blank but puts two diamonds up which I have 2 of, I bet little more than half and get min raised, which commits me so I go.  I get the caller, he has nothing other than 3 diamonds with the nut draw...oh yeah.

while I was typing this up, I take the awesome hand where I turn the nut str. vs. top set, I bet he raises me some sick amount and hits quads on the river.  can I ever hold up once? honestly this is re fuckin diculous.

July 9, 2009, 8AM: Played 3 hours, 11 minutes, Made $25.36 at full tilt
$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

wow, I finally get to log a good beat.  I started this with the 108 I had from affiliate.  I was all the way down to 20 bucks. So I get into this .25/.50 game and run really well to get back to like 60 bucks, then I run into this pot, was so gross.  I am on button with A4 clubs 69 spades, someone makes it 1.75 to go, 3 callers so I am coming with.  Flop is 8 5 2 with 2 hearts giving me the double gutter to the nuts, early position bets 5 at the 6 buck pot one other caller so I call getting better than 3 to 1.  the turn is a 9 which completes hands such that I can't make the nuts, the guy goes all in for like 9 bucks the other guy calls so now there is what like 39 in there, so I say eff it and call, the river is a brick Q.  it's checked to me, I of course can't win, when all of the sudden the pot is shipped to me...9's are good.  First better had A1027 nut hearts, 2's only.  other fool had 2 3 6 10 for about the same thing I was drawing for.  I was about to quit right at about even, I even clicked off the autopost and I pick up QQ flop top set and get a guy ramming with nothing, I fill on river and he shoves all in, I half expect to see quads, but I make another 20 something there and have a decent win for my whining!

I wanna stop, I swear I do

It just won't end on this site.  I am in shock everytime I play at what comes next.  The first one that set me off, I decide to mix it up and play some NL hold em, I raise from cut off with JJ, little blind calls, bb raises me back, we both call.  flop is 7 7 5.  one guy bets tiny, I raise enough to foolish commmit myself, they both call, one has 7 8 the other A 7.

Then the typical one that torks me.  I post from the cut off in a .05/.10 PLO game.  I have trash, K 2 5 6, but I find the Yahtzee flop, A 3 4 with two clubs (I have K 2 of clubs).  Guy in front pots it for .50, I min raise it, he comes back over the top, so I figure this is likely a freeroll.  I get all in with the guy for my 20 bucks and surprise surprise, he rolls over A 4 9 5 with the nut club draw.  4 on the turn to boat him and just to rub it in a club on the river.  I don't know how many times I can get it in so good against these fools.  4 outs to boat, 7 clubs to hit, can I dodge the 11 outer 1 time?

July 8, 2009, 8PM: Played 1 hour at Southpoint
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

ehh. lost my first buy in with a bad call, my two pair was beat by a higher KK two pair.  i bought in short again (table pretty much all had me covered), then lost my second buy in with another two pair beat by another two pair. bought in short one more time and ended up walking with 40 left... lessons learned, change tables when you know the table is pushing you around.  also probably shouldn't have been so quick to rebuy as i was not playing well... played way to speculative for my short stack, shoulda just sat there and waited for cards... unfortunately they never came, in the hour that i donked my chips off I only had one pocket pair and practically no other playable hands.  bad play and bad cards = bad session.

July 4, 2009, 12AM: Played 1 hour, Made $26.05 at Full Tilt
$2.25 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (8th out of 566 Players)

Was chip leader and on a roll from 40 players onward.. then raise UTG with AK and have agro donk cunt shove with A8 and beat me.. this pissed me off.

I lost focus.  Did not play my usuall final table style.  Almost rocked stack in on button 1st player in for raise.. chip leader BB auto shoves in but I fold.

Then other big stack raise from button(raise was half my stack) with 4 limpers... Me AK in BB.. here is where I normally fold the AK and wait.. instead I shove and see KK.

Just lost attention and patience after the one hand getting cracked.
