$11 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (210th out of 9300 Players)

40k gtd

Did good, got up to around 120k

With about 7M I picked AA in late position and raised it 14k with 6k blinds. I had had AA about 20 minutes before this and the guy had AA too.

This time I felt my AA was going to win BIG

The BB thinks about it for a long time before finally shoving all in and I promptly called

Amazingly, he just flips over 44....awesome, im 81% and 170k in the middle

And then BAM!, he nailed his 4 on the flop. I turned a heart draw for 8 more outs but not a fucking thing hit

May 29, 2010, 11AM:
WSOP Fantasy Bet

My friend and I picked teams again this year.  Sorry to OPL for not posting/making this available for everyone.  It was semi-last minute, and, basically, I forgot.  Scoring (same as last time):

Cash 100
Final Table 300
3rd 500
2nd 700
1st 1,000

If the event is a 5k we multiply the points by 1.5.
If it's 10k we multiply by 2.
The 50k Player's Championship (8-game mix) and the 25k NL 6-Max will be multiplied by 3.
Women's, Seniors, and TOC events are not included.

Me----------------------Ryan

Daniel Negreanu---------Phil Ivey
Barry Greenstein--------Gus Hansen
Phil Hellmuth-----------JC Tran
Jason Mercier-----------Erick Lindgren
Jeffrey Lisandro--------Scott Clements
Mike Matusow------------Allen Cunningham
Chris Ferguson----------Isaac Baron
Gavin Griffin-----------Steve Gross
Daniel Alaei------------Ted Forrest
Annette Obrestad--------Antonio Esfandiari

Overall, I like my team.  I think it is really important to get players that can play all the games as they will have a much better chance of final tabling a 300 person Stud8 tourney than a 4k person NLH tourney.  I think Mercier at #4 was a stretch for me.  Also, not sure how much Ferguson, Griffin and Alaei are going to be playing.  I wish I could take Bonomo and Binger in place of two of my later picks in hindsight.  For Ryan, I think Gus at #2 was really reaching.  I also wonder how much AC, Forrest, and Antonio will play.

I destroyed Ryan in this bet two years ago, but we didn't do it last year.  I think the teams are a little more even this year.  I do think I have a slight edge however.

$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (36th out of 52 Players)

ANZPT Canberra sat. $11 rebuy round 1. unbelievable how bad i can run. the very 1st hand after the rebuy period i get AQo in the cutoff. utg limps for 250, another guy limps. i decide to just shove, knowing i probably wont get called. nope. the utg limpers calls 5900 chips and 90% of his stack with ATo. he limped utg with AT and then called off his whole tourney. he has 3 outs. the turn is a Ten and i'm busted. how fucking ridiculous is this? what a retarded idiot. and i bet he'll go on and win the damn thing.

May 13, 2010, 6PM: Played 6 hours, 15 minutes at Rama
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

I bought in for $100. Was down to about $65, when I first got involved for more than $8.

Utg +2 w/ KQo. Fold to me, I raise to 12. Get 2 calers. Flop Q22. I I push for 40ish, he calls, turn is K, he shows AQ, doesn't hit A on river and I get lucky.

QQ utg. I raise to 11, get 4 callers. Flop: 792 2 spades and I have Q of spades. I cbet 35, folded to btn, who pushes for 37 more. I snap call, he shows kings.

Very next hand, I have QQ again in BB. its raised to 10 by dude who had kings last hand. I reraise to 35 he calls. Then asks if I wanna check it down. I stubbornly agree, and he shows aces. I don't improve.

QQ in MP utg raises to 7. I reraise to 22. Btn calls. Utg re-raises to 40, and he's egging me on as I agonize on what to do. So I stick it all in(~85). As utg is setting up a call, btn calls, so utg pushes and btn calls. Noone flips, and flop is A103. Turn is A, river 8. Btn turns over 99, which makes me laugh. I show my queens, before utg shows his ak.

It seems like all I had was queens, but its true. I had almost no playable hands other than these I've posted. Once I had 99 in bb, but it was a family limp to me, so no way I'm gonna get everyone to fold with a raise. Flop has 3 paint, so I fold to flop bet. A couple times I raised with aj or a10, and then made a cbet on the flop. Sometimes I took it down, sometimes not. Either way I was never above my original starting amount, and had to fight it tooth and nail just to stay afloat. If I didn't have to get up early the next day, I probably would've stayed longer to get myself back up, but I'm ok with being down $200. After all the money I've left with there recently, I can afford a slight setback.

May 17, 2010, 7PM: Played 6 hours at Rama
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

I started at a brand new table

First hand I'm in sb with j10o. Everyone sees the flop for 2. Flop:K73. Checked around. Turn; 3. Checked to HJ who bets 5. I call, and 1 after me calls. River: 5o. I decide to bet 12...without thinking about what I could have here, fold, HJ min raises to 25, and I fold.

24♢ on btn. 6 callers, so I call. 9 players to flop. Flop: A3J rainbow. Utg bets 5, 5 callers.  turn: A. utg bets 5, I'm only caller. River 5. Utg bets 10, I raise to 35, he calls and doesn't show.

QQ in UTG+2. I raise to 12, get CO and SB callers. Flop:AK2 rainbow. Sb checks, and I really want to cbet it, but eventually decide to check. CO checks too. Turn; 7 making 2 clubs. SB bets 12, I call, CO folds. River 4o. Sb bets 15, and I really wanna fold, but oi eventually decide to call, he shows A3

A5♢ guy to my right makes it 12, and I decide to call. I've got a feeling about this hand. Heads up, flop 892 2 diamonds. OR bets 12, I call. Turn: Jo. He bets 13 and I call. River is A, and this is when the dealer decides to tell me OR is all in. He mucks after I show my Ace.

A10♤ in LP lots of limpers, so I decide to limp too. Flop AKJ 2 clubs. I bet out 10, get 1 caller directly to my right. Turn 7o, he checks and I check. Turn 10o. He bets 25, and I make a crying call. He shows QJ.

AJ UTG+1. Utg blind raises to 6, I raise to 15. Get 5 callers incl utg. Flop J97 2 diamonds. I bet out 30, get 2 callers. Turn 3o, I push for my last 60, get 1 caller. River is 8, he shows pocket 10s for straight.

$26 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament

35k gtd

not much really happened here.

I was down to about 2k towards the end of the 2nd hour. I limped with 33 in middle position and it was raised to 600 and then another guy on the SB shot all in for 5400.

I decided that I felt like gambling for a potential triple that I desperately needed and called the rest of stack and the initial raiser called as well.

To my shock and amazement I actually had the best hand as my opponents had AJ (the 1st raiser) and 102 off! (the preflop raiser all in)

Naturally an A hit and a J turned and no 3 on river

It looks like insane, extra brutal losing streak will continue......fucking awesome

$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament

$5 rebuy 50k gtd

Never got above 10k here...

I picked up 45 off and made a position raise. Everyone folded and the BB thought about it for awhile before finally calling.

The flop comes A4Q with 2 diamonds.

The BB instantly bets out a 1/3 the pot and I called. The turn brought my miracle 4 not a diamond. The BB checked and I checked behind hoping he had an A or Q and would bet the river.

The river brought a Q, not the greatest card but I wasn't too scared.

He bet out and reraised for most of my stack and he flat called with QJ...precisely what I feared.

On the next hand I picked up KJ off and shoved in middle position. I was promptly called by 77 and did not hit my K or J

60k gtd rebuy

I did even better in this tournament today than last night....got up to 115k

With about 115k in chips I limped with 1010 because I had just won with QQ moments ago and I was going to play the hand very tight and probably drop the hand if it came overs and I didnt hit my set.

I got one caller and the board come 794 with two spades

I had been picking up some monster pots by squeezing with the over pair and so I decided to repeat that approach here.

I shoved and was promptly called by 77....I would have been at 250k in chips :-(

I get

$3 rebuy 40k gtd

I got up to around 53k twice....not bad

On the BB I picked up JJ and flat called a guy ahead of my for about 2/3's of my stack. I was a bit leary because of the UTG limper and I prayed to god this guy wasnt slow playing a big pocket pair.

After I flat called the UTG guy reraised all in and I knew that meant QQ KK or AA but I had so much out there that I had to call the rest of my stack.

The guy who I had flat called had A10 and the UTG limper had QQ....just as I feared. He nailed a set and rivered a boat...I would have beat A10 though!

$1 No-Limit Dealer's Choice

Three-handed versus Yuya and Brandon.
---
1) Brandon is the king of razz.
2) Brandon and I played $25/$30/$35 a hand and ran out the board before cashing out, and in one instance...

Brandon had 5d,6h.
I had 2s,3c.

The flop came Kh-7h-5h, and Brandon remarked, "If I lose this, I'll commit suicide."

The turn came a 2d, and Yuya and I started laughing hysterically already.

Then the river came a 3s, and Brandon almost threw a chair at me.

The feeling I felt when I runner runner two-paired him was one of the best feelings I've ever felt in my entire poker career. That feeling was priceless. LOL.
