June 22, 2010, 3PM: Played 6 hours, 30 minutes at Rama
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

this was a brutal session. I was doing really, really well. Getting good cards, and making smart convincing bluffs when I didn't have the goods. I think I went card dead, and started making some unconvincing bluffs(or bluffing into a made hand).

I'm sure if I re committed myself to playing good, and didn't have to work the next day I could have stayed longer and won some money back.

I had aces 5 times, and won each and every time. Only once did I not get any pre-flop action.

I didn't log any hands. I think I'm going to stop doing that, and just do a recount of important hands. No one wants to read a list of hands, and how they went down. Plus this will give me a chance to add more commentary, and show what my thoughts were/are.  Here are a few important hands, and how they went down, to the best of my recollection.

J♦10♦ in HJ. its limped to me, and I feel randy, so I raise to $11. I get 4 callers including btn. Flop AK8 2 spades 1 diamond. Its checked to me, and I bet 20, btn then raises to 40(I think at the time it seems like a squeeze play), player to my right who's clearly a good player calls, and I call. Turn 4o. Checked to btn, who bets out $20. Guy on my right calls. Btn is holding his whole stack in his hand (~150) and I ask him if that's gonna be his river bet. He says maybe, depends on the river. So I decide to call. River 7♠. Player on my right checks, and I think for a bit. I decide to bet out $110, btn starts talking to himself about me making a flush, and he eventually folds. Guy on my right thinks for a little and folds too. I show my bluff, and everyone is in shock that I could do that. Btn says he had a naked ace, guy on my right says he had a K and wasn't calling any river bet.

My final hand: AQo in MP utg raises to 6, 2 callers. I flat call(why, I'm not sure. I don't think I even had a good reason at the time. In retrospect, I clearly should have re-raised), and 6 people see the flop. Flop: A♠9♠4o. SB bets 12, villain raises to 45 all in(as said by the dealer) I think about raising, but I'm pretty sure sb was trying to take down a pretty nice pot. So I just call. Everyone folds, including sb. Then villain asks the dealer if we're down to 2 players, which we are. The dealer puts down the turn card, and I flip my hand over. Villain then shoves his remaining stack, and I fly off the handle as to why I was told he was all in, when he wasn't. The dealer insists he didn't say he was all in, but the players on my right and left both thought he was all in too. He has about $90 left, so I really can't call. He could have me crushed, and just be trying to get my back up so I can call, or he may have nothing, trying to play meta games with me, trying to force a fold. I fold without thinking about it much. I can't play poker this way, and he shows AJ.

I am so steaming, that I quit after getting a few more hands that I don't feel like playing. I think I even folded A10, but I wasn't really paying attention.

July 1, 2010, 10AM: Played 11 hours at Rama
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

This was a pretty decent session for me. I sat down with $100 that I had to buy from the dealer cause the cage was closed. I was in the CO when I posted, and by the time I was the button, I was up over $300. I just kept winning pots, making nut straights and getting called by top two, or flopping a full house, and having someone else hit runner runner for the nut flush so he could dump all his chips on me.

The one hand that resulted in a bad result for me was when I had Queens UTG. I raised it to 12(which is my standard raise, but the table was preferring raises to 7-10), and get a couple callers including the BB. Flop is QJ4 rainbow. checked to me, and I bet out $30 and only the BB calls. The Turn is a K making 2 diamonds. BB checks, and I start measuring out a raise, and every time I grab more chips, he keeps saying I call, I call. So I started complaining that I haven't even decided how much to bet. He says he doesn't care how much I bet, he's going to call. So I say ok then, I'm all in! I have over 700 left at this point, and he has well over $300. He snap calls, and turns over 10-10! What the fuck is that shit? there are 3 cards out of 4 that are over his pair? He said he feels like gambling, and of course the river is an A giving him Broadway.

So that really hurt, and I was steaming a little bit. But I was smart, and I didn't let it get me down too much. I tightened way up, and I mixed it up here and there...but I built my chip stack up slowly, but surely to over $500, when I decided to leave.

the one table only definitely helps me a lot, I am into each hand much more and able to make a lot more moves.  one hand here I flop pair and open ender vs. preflop raiser on K 3 4 flop, turn is a K and I fired 17 into about 40 and got him to lay it down, when I play 4 tables I never try that sort of thing because I am not as in tuned to the action, who raised, etc.  Also a smaller player base, I can see who is tight and who is in every hand, so that helps too.  This limit is too big for my current bankroll but it's nice to get back what I lost earlier and have a small win for the day.

well it's a win at least...was up another 50ish, but really went card dead for last half hour or so.  Pot that got me all my chips, I hated doing it, but no clue how else to play it, I have AA92 pre, raise from cutoff, button makes it 10, bb goes to 33.50, I am figuring I call so does button, so I try to get it heads up and shove for 100, button folds, bb calls with the monster AJ84 J high clubs, flop is kinda scary as gives a double gutter...2 5 6 but it comes out harmless and I make 107 in the hand.  Really never got involved in many other hands where any chips were involved.  Played squeaky tight trying to protect my meager remaining stack.  Couple players in this game are total fish, but I couldn't ever seem to get in with them where I liked my hand enough to do much.

I wish I knew what to say, I must be pressing, but I really don't feel like I am in any hands I shouldn't be.  I only lost the 25 buck stack one time in this session, I have KKJ9 double suited, 3 way action, raised preflop and repopped to 3, I have the button I call, flop is A 10 7 with 2 clubs, I just don't think it's wrong to call here against 2 other players.  Had several other hands it just felt like I couldn't win no matter what I did.  If I am drawing I miss, if I am good on the flop they just get there.  Gonna move up a limit and just play one table to help my concentration.  This obviously isn't working right now.

man I am just a sieve now.  was actually about even when I got involved with a hand with nut flush draw and str. draw...guy turns top set, then a str. card hits river and he bets 10 into about 30, so I try for the hero play and ram it to 31 and he insta calls.  Trying to hard in some situations, but a lot of times I just flat out am running terrible...top set vs. nut flush draw and he makes running str. on me, stuff like that gets old.  I only had one good beat I can't think of, I flop wrap with 10 9 8 6 holding 10 6 of spades on 9 7 x flop, turn is the golden str. flush and guy with nut flush never stops raising me, so that helped, but I of course gave it away.  Not sure what to do about this run, gotta hope it turns around soon, I am back down under 300 now.

wow, thought a few days off might be helpful, but that's not the case at all.  probably still too tired from all that's going on to play my A game, but the pots I lost tonight it didn't matter what game I brought.  First hand that just kills me, I have bottom set, which obviously I am taking a chance with anyway, flop is K 7 5 rainbow, I check raise a preflop raiser who calls 6 bucks on the flop, turn is J of spades, I put them all in for 11 and they call, river 6 of spades.  The fool rolls over A K J 10 with 3 spades for the nut flush...flopped exactly top top, the turn obviously married them, but c'mon.  There were several hands similar to this.  There was also one huge self imposed beat down, but I was trying to get some chips back, I have K Q 10 9 and flop is J 8 5 rainbow, I end up getting in on the flop with the wrap against bottom set and of course the dream J hits the turn, could've saved about 38 of the 40 I dump there.  I have beaten this drum to death, but god damn this internet poker thing really goes in peaks and valleys.  Couldn't lose for a couple weeks there, now it's everything I can do to avoid going broke each session.  Have a 113 affiliate coming and a 275 bonus to unlock, but man those 5500 points are going to be tough to earn, got 400 of them tonight but I can't afford this rate.  Oh yeah, I almost forgot to rant about when I 3 bet big with AA, flop an A and the fools are so happy to gamble with flush and str. draws.  Happened about 4 times tonight and I think I only won once.  Guy check raised me all in one time with a 9 high flush draw and literally no other outs on A high flop and of course drills his flush right on the turn.  Gotta get this turned around again, but man it's annoying right now.

June 26, 2010, 1AM: Played 6 hours, Lost $1,380.00 at Harrahs
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

This weekend was horrible, I havn't have had a run like this in such a long time, all the bad beats that I got hit with just made me not want to play at Harrah's anymore. I seem to never win there.

The fact that I got dealt Kings 2 hands in a row and got no action speaks to my frustrations and when I did have cards i would get rivered or just get beat badly.

1 hand that i still can't get out of my head is being dealt (10,8h) on the button raising 25 dollars with 2 callers, flopping 10,5,8 rainbow, I now have 2 pair i raise, 1 person folds the other person reraise, I repop ad he finally shoves, I call and have bottom 2 while the other person had 10,5 and rivers a 5 and i bust out. After all of this i stay calm and don't scream out my frustraions and rebuy for another 300.

After i rebuy i get dealt (j'10spades) and flop comes 10,10,7. I raise get reaised all in and i call and my opponent flips over pocket 7's. This weekend was so depressing and I couldn't believe my luck I never ran this bad in my life. Seems like everything that could go bad did.

Now i plan on taking a few days off from poker and just relax before I play again.

June 26, 2010, 10AM:
Great day; took down three tournaments!

Definitely my biggest success so far.
I started off with around $40 and managed to build it up at PLO. After a few hours, I started to tilt and entered a few tournaments, one of which was a $5.50r PLO. After losing the rest of my tournaments and money, I was left with only the PLO tournament, but managed to take first place for around $230.

From there the day got better and better. I decided to enter the $10.50 HU Knockout tournament and took down 1st place in that too. I think I got around $220, plus all the $5 bounties.
A few other $10.50 HU Knockout tournaments I profited in although didn't make the money (just profited from bounties)
I then entered the $10.20 H-Turbo HU tournament and got 1st place for a little over $1,000.

My Heads Up game has improved alot lately, and I've started entering the medium SnG's.

I managed to overcome my degenerate mode and actually withdrew!

Hopefully my success will continue, and good luck to all of you!

here we go again with the cooler...I was up about 20 bucks and right at my quit limit for points when I took some stupid beat to get stuck that I don't recall...so then I tried to get winner again and obviously it spiraled.  I have no clue where my control went today, have no tired excuse, but I am really getting into pots with a lot of chips and there is no real reason for it.  I am coming out loser in most of these situations which is very frustrating as well, but I can't seem to stop doing it.  A lot of the hands I am just running awful in, but many are my own fault...should probably just lick my wounds for the month and collect some affiliate next month.  I do have a 250 buck bonus to collect when I get enough points as well, so I guess that gets me even for the last two days, but man this is such a frustrating dump, I was hoping to be over this little tilt I always seem to get on.
