ran horrible, started playing horrible, seemed like I would get within about 10 of even and then take a stupid beat and be down 30. the two hands that just kill me, first one I have 89910, flop is J 9 3, I pot it and get raised, I just smooth call as does one other guy, turn is the Q, I pretty much know I am probably not folding here so I pot it for 12, middle guy folds original raiser puts me all in for 24.08 total and rolls over JJ, sweet!...til the Q rivers. 58 buck pot. The next one I have AA on button, I raise and guy 3 bets, I 4 bet he 5 bets, we end up all in for over 20 each, he has A K K 10 and hits the sweet K 9 3 flop. At the end I really just played like a tired donkey trying to get even, calling too many raises and flop bets with trash. I ran so well for so long I just expect to win everyday and when I get stuck I keep playing til I get back to winner. Time for a break I think.

just ran bad in 2 key pots, both times I flop a set and both times a guy with overpair and flush draw jammed in on me, one time the guy rivers his bigger set and the other time guy drills the flush on the turn. it's a break even session if I win one of those and a decent one if I take them both...tough to complain much, I have been running well the last little while, was due to run into a few.

right off the bat i got it allin with AsQd on a board of AdTd4dQh. he had 89d for the flush and i'm drawing to an ace, queen or diamond for 25%. brick.
reload. fold for an hour or so. couple of small pots but nothing to speak off. then i get J9c utg +1 and limp. 5 to the flop: 8c6c3h. bb leads out for $10, i call, 2 others call. turn is 7h. now i have a flush draw and a double gutshot. the bb leads out for $25 this time. i call. folds to the button and he makes it $75. i feel like he made the straight, maybe a set. the bb thinks and only calls. i think he has 2 pair, so i figure if i hit any part of my draw that i'll be good, so i call, leaving myself only about $50. river is 7c. flush hits and the board pairs. bb checks, i shove, the button reshoves over the tops of me, which scares me. maybe he did have a set and just filled up. bb folds. i turn over my flush and the button shows me 64o for a beaten straight. i win...not really proud of my play here, but it worked out in my favor for a max payout. this got me a little above even so i quit.

ran pretty smooth overall, got lucky in a few key pots as well. one I flop set, turn nut flush draw vs. a wrap on flop that he turns nuts and I find board pair, another one a guy flops a boat against me and baby bets the whole way, I had AA and spike the river A and check to him, he finally pot bets the river and is forced to give me the rest of his chips. the biggest pot I drag, I have 6789 and call a raise from blinds, flop comes down 8 7 2 with 2 clubs, I pot out for 1.80 and get two callers, turn is a 3, so I decide to run with it, pot for 7.20 and get two callers again, river is a 10 giving me 2nd nuts, I fire my last 7.77 at it and get called by guy who also flopped 8 7 with KJ kickers (no flush draw).

$500 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (67th out of 388 Players)
if you bust out on day1 flight1, you can come back on day1 flight2 and play again. so in flight1, i played really well, built up my stack then ran so so bad. every time i put chips in the middle someone had a monster hand. it was so sick. i had to lay down JJ twice preflop. and i was right both times but somehow that doesnt make me feel any better. so i getting low near the end of the day. 4 passive players limp for 800. i have A8s on the button and shove 9100. thats a pretty good spot imo. the first limper nearly jumps out of his seat to call for 80% of his stack. normally when someone does this they have limped with a monster like aces or kings. not this tard. 77. i lose.
the next day come back and try again. i get exactly zero hands to play. this is how bad i run. one guy limps for 200, he had been limping with anything, total trash. it folds to me in the bb and i raise for value against this guy to 650 with KQs. flop is Q33. i bet 800, he calls. turn is a king. i bet 1500, he min raises to 3000. i call, alarm bells ringing, annoyance growing. river 7. i check, he betting a paltry 2000, i call. he shows me 34o. noce limp utg +1. get moved to a new table. no hands, so it sit back and watch these 2 overagro young guys raising and reraising everybody with garbage and folding to 4 bets. so i get JJ utg and raise to 1200, the first youngguy calls. it folds to the 2nd youngguy and he 3bets to 3500. against another player i would probably fold, but he had been doing this about every other hand, so i jam for 7800 total. he thinks, asks for a count and then calls with KK. i of course dont suck out. then the table admonishes him for slowrolling me. he looks confused, so on my way out i explain to him that when you know you have the best hand, and you know that you're going to call, it is improper etiquette to act slowly, giving the other player false hope. he doesnt seem to really grasp what we are telling him and now forever will be labeled an imbecile asshole by me...but how shitty is it that the only time he has the goods is against me. god i run so bad.
and another rant. i've been watching alot of poker being played in front of me while i sit and fold the past couple of weeks, and it i've noticed that the players that are winners, in tournies and cash, just run better than everyone else. i am almost never impressed by any of these guys. they just always have better hand. people who run like me sit around and wait for good hand, and when it comes, the people who run like them have a better one. consistently. for example this young kid named brandon rubie. nice kid, not an asshole. has won some tournies over here for good chunck o change. i watched him at my table the other day, and he always had the goods. in back2back hands he flopped the nut flsh vs a smaller flopped flush, then got AA vs AK and stacked them both. that never happens for me. sure i might flop a flush every so often, but nobody else has smaller one to pay me off. and i get aces about as much as anyone else. like yesterday i had them 3 times and kings 3 times, and on 5 of those 6 hands, i didnt even get any callers preflop and the other time i made like $50. no action for me. they say that in a lifetime, everyone is as lucky as everyone else; that it all evens out over time. but i dont think this is correct. in my observation, some people just run a little better than average and some a little worse over a lifetime. and thats how things become even. theres only so much luck to go around, so some people just get the short end of the stick.

was stuck about 30 for a while, not sure what I was doing, playing a ton of pots and getting into spots I didn't need to be. finally tightened up and got on track, hit a pretty lucky pot to get close to even, I have AKJ6 double suited, flop nut flush draw and wrap on Q 10 x flop, turn is K, I check raise guy and he shoves...shows a monster as well A J 10 10, but I find the club to drag it. Then I flop middle set against this total ramming moron, guy had check raised me a few hands earlier all in, I had naked A on flushed board and couldn't call him, this time he calls my flop raise with no draw, only top pair top kicker, turn gives him open ender and he shoves it in and I dodge to get my monster win here.

was basically treading water most of the session...did take another shitty beat early in the session...in bb folded to sb who raises, I have AQJJ, flop is J 10 4, check to me I pot he calls, turn 4 he checks I pot he calls, river K, he insta pots, I type in KK? it's that or stone cold garbage, I call the 5.40 and he has KK86. Then I finally hit a big pot, I have QQxx in position and call a raise, one of the blinds comes with...flop is Q J 4 with diamond draw, preflop raiser pots, I raise, the guy in blind shoves for 10, the other guy shoves for about 15, well tough to fold the current nuts..the blind has K1087 with 3 diamonds, the other guy has QJ109 for top two open ender, turn brick 5 and river is a 4 for 41.59 pot. I was up another 6 or 7 bucks, but I had a hand I just didn't want to gamble in, I have A998, it's raised pre and I call in position, my stack at that table is about 50, guy in hand with me has 45, flop is A 9 8, he pots out I raise and he repops to 11. I am figuring he has the case A's or something like Q J 10, I decided to hold onto my win instead of gambling up, would hate to dump 45 in one pot.

33 in HJ. 2 limpers, I limp, co limps, blinds comp and check. Flop: 346 two spades. Checked to me, I check cause I see co sizing a bet. He bets 10, 1 caller, I raise to 25. I raised him intentionally because I check raised him twice off his handin the last 1.5 orbits, and I want him to be tired of it and re-raise me light. But co calls, and we're heads up. Turn 5o. I bet 25, co min raises to $50. I smooth call, quitely begging for the board to pair. River: Ko. When I called turn raise I decided I'm gonna check fold any non board pairing card. But I think for a min, and decide to make a blocking bet because he doesn't have a lot of money left(about 85) and I want him to know I'm pot committed. I make it $35, and he stacks his chips up and shoves. I think for a bit, but I know he's a very tight player, and he can't think I'm folding any big hand. I eventually muck, but the dealer accidentally exposes my set. Grrr!
I have AJ 4 times in first 2 hours, and flop at least an ace(if not aj or trips) all 4 times. Every time, I bet it all the way, and get sucked out on the river. FML. down $400 early
J♥10♣ in MP, a few limpers before and after me. 8 see a flop. Flop QJ10 2 hearts. Ep bets out 12, 1 caller, I raise to 45 trying to define my hand and get any flush draws with no money in the pot to fold. Original ep pushes to 79, orig caller calls, I shove to 160ish. He calls. I'm up against KQ and QJ. It comes runner runner hearts, and I win a pot I had no business in winning.
QQ in BB. 6 limpers to me, and I raise to 16, get 4 callers. Flop Q109 2 diamonds. I bet out 30, get 2 callers. Turn Ao. I bet out 60, get raised all in to 120ish. I call, she shows a9 of diamonds, and doesn't improve.
A♣2♣ utg. I decide to mix it up and raise to 11. Get 4 callers. Flop: K22 2 diamonds. I bet out 35, get 1 caller. Turn 6o, I bet 65, utg+1 pushes for 100, and I snap call he shows k5 and doesn't improve.
I know all these hands I end up winning...but I don't remember the specs of the hands where I got out drawn, or when I 3 barreled into a monster. All in all my reads weren't too good on this day, and luck wasn't on my side too often. Perhaps its because I haven't played in 2 weeks.

Fun fun night playing at a table full of drunk tourists. The first hour I burned through 4 buyins. I need to remember how weak all in can look against a reg. I knew he was weak but he called me light. Then switched tables and found the drunk table. Got luckboxed a few more times but stuck it out because the table was so awesome... Started experimenting with using psychology to say the right things to make people fold/call. I've been pretty successful so far. There was a hand where i had Q9c and the flop came Q96 w/ one club two spades. Check in front of me, I bet big, close to the pot, and he calls. I narrow his range down to slowplaying a set, flush draw, or open ended. Turn is a blank club, I bet about 1/3 the pot and this time he min raises. I now think he has a set. RIver comes another club making my weak 9 high flush. He leads out with close to the size of the pot and it just doesn't make sense. There is no way he would have continued this far without having hit the flop hard which meant there was no way he could have any clubs in his hand. I called TID. I was happy for thinking through the hand and not just being scared of how weak my flush was.

had been running pretty smooth til this one...took 3 hideous beats all 20 or more in the pots...all 3 times I am WAY ahead when it gets in...one time I have 78910, raised pre, couple callers, 8 8 3 flop, I check raise original raiser he shoves on me with AA and spikes one on the turn...next one same deal, I have QQ, flop is Q J 3, guy gets it in with KKJ8, turn J river K. Last one wasn't quite as bad, somewhat legit I guess, I have AA and limp to a button raise in the blind, I also have 5 9 of spades, flop comes down A Q 4 with A of spades and one of the others as well, I fire pot at it get raised and shove...he has K Q 10 10 nut spades gutshot and the spade peels of the turn. I really felt like I was playing well to overcome all that bullshit and somehow make a little bit. Did have one sweet hand, I was ahead the whole way, but the guy thought he caught a river card, I have KKQQ double suited on button and pot it pre, bb calls, flop is 9 10 J with J 10 of one of my suits, I pot whole way and catch a 9 of clubs on river to str. flush up, he checks to me on river I pot and he raises the little bit we both had and shows 10 10.
