dumbass me, I was stuck the whole session until about 2 minutes til I reach my points goal and I hit a nice pot and get about 4 bucks ahead...then I get in a pot with top set 2nd nut flush draw vs. a wrap and smaller flush draw, the river hits him, but I shove in my last 6 into about 25 and get shown the nuts, so was stuck about 10 and couldn't quit.  been avoiding these little stupid moves, but tonight got me.

September 20, 2010, 3AM: Played 6 hours, Lost $90.00 at PokerStars
$200 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1,691st out of 9587 Players)

WCOOP Event 41. $1.5 million guaranteed.

its 3am and i just woke up after 3 hours of sleep. i'm very tired. but i hope i can make it til i'm very very tired...2nd hand in, got it allin with AK vs AK on a AK7 flop. zzz. got moved, then made a couple hands to chip up to 13960 at first break. nice start.

1st break. 18130 stack. avg 13048. 7345 players left. i'm 1st on the table and i havent done much. such sat back and waited for good spots. no missteps yet. i think i could have gotten more value out of one hand. very active guy raises, one caller, i call from bb with KQc. flop QsQhJs. i check, guy bets, other guy folds. i only call. turn is king. i lead out. he calls. river is another king. i bet again. he calls and has Q9o. i think if i had checkraised the flop or even led out i could have taken a much bigger pot. oh well, in good shape.

2nd break. 18560. avg 17310. 5539 left. 5th on table. didnt get any hands to play and there was a lot of action around me. a couple of these guys are gonna give away their stacks pretty light, so i just have to wait for my spots. patience patience. 6am and the sun is coming up!

3rd break. 35960. avg 25k. 3820 left. 2nd on table. only played 2 hands this hour. limped from lp with 22 and flopped a set and had some guy make a move at me. board was 23878 and he shoved the river trying to represent an 8 i guess. wouldnt have mattered if he did have an 8 anyway. so i doubled up. we should make the money during the next hour. not sleepy yet. thankfully. 7am

4th break. 54304. avg 38.5k. 2484 left. 1260 paid. we hardly lost any players that level. damn. but we certainly will make the money this next hour. i got moved to a new table and there are not many chips. lots of guys have 20bb or less. i stacked one guy with 55 from the bb vs his AQc on a board of 5TA6J. really the only hand of note. i might have to do a little more stealing at this table cuz everyone seems to be playing it pretty tight. still no missteps to this point. patience.

i'm an idiot. i lost one big pot and i lose my patience and call off all my chips on just a draw on the turn and miss to bust. stupid.

had a nice 15 buck win going, got into a pot where I have top 3 on a raggedy board, preflop raise rams the turn for about 3 bucks, I shove over him for about 10 more and he calls with 1 pair 2nd nut flush draw and finds the A of his suit to kick me in the nuts.  didn't mind the call though, guess I could've just call foled there but I had him in horrible shape after they were rolled over, will get em tomorrow night.

could've been a little better session, but took a beat vs. a moron who called with one pair, gutshot 2nd nut flush and rivers me, I had him in pretty sickly bad shape.  That hand and another had me from up 10 to stuck 10 pretty quick, but regrouped and got back to where I was.  managing to quit right at my points goal last several days, so shorter sessions have been good for morale and bankroll.

$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

went broke on the first hand i got dealt. 3 limpers, i make it $15 with AhQs. 6 to the flop. Qh8h2c. sb leads out for $25, folds to me, i make it $85. he calls. turn is Kh. i pick up the nut flush draw. he leads out for $25 into a $260 pot. i move allin for $100. he grimaces and calls. he only has about $15 left. river is 7d. he shows me Qc7h for a rivered 2 pair. wtf!!! reload and spend the next 2.5 hrs limp/miss/fold, raise/miss/fold, limp/call a raise/miss/fold, raise/miss/bluff/get raised/fold, limp/miss/fold. i won exactly one pot in 2.5 hrs. and the idiot next to me was so drunk he could barely speak, yet he made the nuts about 6 hands in a row and ran his $100 buyin up to about a grand in 20 minutes while busting the whole table. then the waiter cut him off and he got mad and took his money and left. fuck my life.

was stuck about 35 so made a little run.  had a couple tough ones early on, one I flop top set on Q 6 4 flop guy shoves in with me holding KK and K high flush draw which he drills right on the turn.  the other one was of my own doing flopping top two and a gutshot vs. a guy who flops bottom set and was aggressive with it on flop, I tried to bluff him when a flush rivered but he happily called 5 more with it.  kinda had some family news that had me a bit distracted, but I don't feel like I played too terribly, maybe a little too loose.

finally! ran into several situations where guys apparently didn't need their chips so they gave them to me.  started with a pot where I flop nut str. in bb and sb does as well, but I have flush draw and we get all in on turn and I spike it.  then people just started handing me stacks, one time I have the nut flush, guy who raised can't stop ramming, we get it in on turn, he actually called a couple more bucks with 1 pair drawing dead.  another one someone tries a check raise move when I turn a boat, I was a bit gunshy and just paid it off.  another hand I turn 2nd nut boat vs. button with 5's full of A's so AA is only hand that beats me, he river's 5's full of 8's and puts a huge raise on my bet, I only call like a donk leaving a couple bucks out there.  anyway, ran very well and for some reason people were wild with their stacks against me.

started out very poorly, stuck about 20 10 or 15 minutes into the session.  finally hit a monster pot to get about 3 or 4 winner when I flop top set with KK and get two all in with me and spike the board pair on the turn to have them both drawing dead.  Got stuck again about 5 bucks but luckily hit a couple late to get winner.

$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

I Play so poorly some times, it makes me sick. I don't know what to say about this day, but here's an example of how bad I run.

I'm in the big blind, and there's 8 limpers to me. I wake up with 2 black Kings, and I raise to 35 to try and take the blinds, or get heads up. I guess in retrospect I could have made it more, but I was getting frustrated with the lack of cards I'd been getting, and kinda wanted action. At least 1 caller that will fold on the flop when they don't connect would be nice.

UTG then reraises to 80. This is a player I've been talking to, we both get basic strategies, and are interested in advancing our play. So I'm thinking that he thinks I'm just trying to take down all that dead money out there. So a re-raise from him doesn't necessarily mean strength.

It's obviously folded back around to me, and I have 2 choices on me. I can call here, and shove any flop(he only has $250 when this hand starts) but I don't want to risk him connecting, so I decide there's enough money in the pot already and I shove. He snap calls, and of course shows Aces.

And not that it matters, but I flop a K on the flop, and he hits runner runner flush to beat me.

finally ran a little better this time, but had two really annoying beats midway through the session, same idiot guy, one time I have AA and limp, another guy pots this guy repots, I go in over the top he calls with QJ73, flop is K 10 3, turn J...puke.  the other one is much worse, he pots pre, I call with AQ108, flop is K Q Q, after the last display I am shoving no matter what, he pots flop I just call hoping to get him all in, turn is a 2 of spades putting 2 up, he checks I pot it he shoves in over me and rolls over the monster J 7 3 5 with two spades and of course spikes one more.  Those two beats took about half my win, but I hit a couple pots later in the session to get most of it back.
