September 4, 2012, 12AM: Played 3 hours, 30 minutes, Lost $399.00 at Casino M8trix
$5 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

It has been a while. I didn't play poorly. Probably not aggressive enough, but nothing really ever hit for me, either.

Jesse had the hand of the night. He had K5 for two pair, and a very loose player has AQ for a pair of queens. Jesse raises all-in and then shows him his hand. He folds, of course, and then Jesse makes the dealer turn over the river card, a Queen, which would have made the guy a set. It was a big pot before the all-in raise. Jesse probably made over $200 on the hand and went on to win about $800 for the night. Fucker.

$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 41 Players)

The 1500 dollar monthly freeroll.  To qualify, you must either win a daily morning tournament, or log enough hours in the cash game.  Had both covered.  My roll continues.  Chopped it 3 ways for 630 each.  90 dollar tip, with one 20 dollar add-on for a profit of 520.  Got outplayed early on in the tourney, lost about 40% of my stack when I mucked my aces on the river to a board of 4/5/7/6/7, should have sniffed out the bluff, but couldn't quite pull the trigger.  Worked out anyways, got moved to a much easier table after that and flowed like water.

$40 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 30 Players)

Sitting home bored, I remembered Rick telling me that Aces was adding 300 dollars to their nightly tournaments 7 days a week while only getting 2 tables.  With those odds I thought it was worth a shot.  They allow 1 re-entry for the first 3 rounds.  Some crazy hands, people not knowing what there doing, someone laid down Aces up after the flop for a small bet and showed it, not even realizing what he had, which would have busted me.  The same player refused a four way chop, and of course went out 4'th.  1'st was supposed to be 675, 2'nd was 405...heads up I had about a 2-1 chip lead, he wanted to chop, so I offered to take 600, which he immediately took.  Tipped 60 bux, 40 dollar buy in...profit of 500.  Cakewalk.

$25 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 25 Players)

Chopped heads up...I'm including my tips in this now, cause I ain't going home with it, so it makes sence for me to do so...tipped 40 bux for the miracle hands...This was as lucky as I can ever remember getting in a tournament.  All in preflop with K/Q of hearts for 2100, Dan Jones is in with two black Aces, comes running hearts for the double up...look down at wired Kings a few minutes later, Randy Beals had bet 2100, I go all in in the BB for about 4800, he insta calls with 10/10 and flops a 10, but the turn was a King...then down to four handed, I shove preflop with 3/3 and get snap called by wired Jacks, flop comes 2/2/10, turns a 3!...finally heads up with about a 4-1 chip disadvantage, Tom Carson asks if I want to chop and gives me the seat to the freeroll...yes I do.

February 4, 2012, 1AM: Made $1.77 at micro limits
Texas Hold'em

I played a couple of freerolls today I just cant get that win I want so badly.I run very deep and fall just short of the money or bust out very quickly,I tend to run deep for the most part. You have to play very aggressive from the start just to make a deep run.I dont care about cashing I want a win. That would be big for someone of my small bankroll.I have been playing a bit of .05/.10 Omaha 8 and hold em just testing the water and they both seem fairly easy to beat.Im just not to that point yet.Its coming I can feel myself going to a step up from slums to gutter I made $1.77 today. That puts my bankroll at $27.77.I think I will stay at .02/.04 till I get to 34 or 35 dollars.good luck me and sleep well PEACE

January 31, 2012, 2AM: Made $2.01 at micro limits
Texas Hold'em

today i realized that you cant bluff in micros.i knew he had trips but i keep on betting, thinking he would think i were full...not the case.so i will never bluff again its just not profitable in limit micros.i could of won more but i went on tilt for a few mins after that hand and i got suck out on in big pots at least 4 times.a little more discipline is what i need.this may sound funny to some people, but this is a challenge for myself to build a bankroll from scratch.it is slow but i feel it will make me proud when all is said and done.my bankroll is now at 25.26.i may wait till im up to 35 or 40 before i move on to .05/.10 well see PEACE

$175 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (38th out of 98 Players)

was playing really well. had a commanding table presence. and an above avg chip stack until i ran into the short stack when i had 10 10 vs aa and flop came 8 high.  3 hands later i get 10 10 again and same short stack has 22 flop again 8 high and he hit a set. i bet out 2k he shoved for 8 i should have folded then. he was a tight player and would only shove if i was probably beat.  just played to fast.  that crippled me a lil.  i made a good comeback after being down to about 3 bbs.  very tight aggressive play. then again caught myself playing without thinking.  cuttoff raises to 3k a decent player but had his moments of bad play and should have busted a few times.  loose player on button calls i make it 12.5 to go leaving me only 5 behind. cuttoff insta shoves. 9dealer folds i should have not pot committed myself but made it like 8 to go instead i have to call and he has aa and knocks me out

$1,150 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (70th out of 250 Players)

phase 3 main event qualifier. 25 seats to the aussie millions main event

i had a good run of cards and my hands held up early on to build i decent stack. got moved to a new table and the cards went dead. i'm second biggest stack on the table and the only guy that has me covered is to my right and he is a complete idiot. he got his chips by calling big bets and allins when he was behind and sucked out each time to win. 2 outs, 3 outers, 4outers. just lucky as fuck. he limps utg for 600, the sb limps and i have QQ in the bb and raise to 2100. he calls, sb folds. flop is 9c7h3c. i lead out for 3500 and he calls. turn is 6h, putting 2 flush draws out there. i think he may have a draw or something like A9 and i dont think he's ever going to fold either one of those hands, so i overbetshove for around 12k and he snap calls me with J9h. river is a heart and i lose. fml

January 23, 2012, 2PM: Played 3 hours, 30 minutes, Lost $550.00 at Crown - Melbourne
$500 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament

aussie millions event #11

early on nothing was hitting and my stack dwindled from 5k to 3k. then i doubled with AK vs KQ when another guy got impatient and overplayed his hand. i won a couple other pots to chip up nicely. then i raise middle position with AQo and get 2 callers. then this young agro kid who i've played with a bunch squeezes from the bb. normally i would fold AQ instantly for 80% of my stack, but i thought there was a very good chance that i have him dominated, so i call one of the other callers comes along for his stack as well. he has TT and the bb kid has 44. i brick off, the river is a 4 for this kid to triple up and have a massive stack. i only have 10bb left and i sit and wait for a good hand to shove. one min raises in front of me and i jam 88. then another guy behind me reshoves his very big stack and another shorter stack comes in too. i think i'm in bad shape but luckily i'm up against AKd and AKh. the turn puts a heart flush draw out there but my 88 holds.

then things get crazy. i still dont have a lot of chips but enough to be patient. a new kid moves in on my right and he's not doing a good job covering his cards, so sometimes i can see his hand and i look for a way to exploit it. it folds to him on the button and he min raises to 800 with A2h. i see that he is not strong, so i make it 2500 from the sb with J4o but to my surprise and disappointment he shoves allin over the top of me and i have to fold. the very next hand he min raises and i can see the Kd but not the other card. i have JTh and call. both blinds come in, so the pot is pretty good. flop QhTs7c. everyone checks. turn is 4h, so i pick up a flush draw. the sb leads out for 1200 and the kid next to me goes allin. my hand is not strong here and normally i would fold, but for some reason i convince myself that my JTh is ahead here, so i the rest in. i knew the sb was folding and he did. the kid shows me KQd, river is a brick and i'm out. i am not happy with myself. and this is one of the few times i lost a tourney where i actually made a mistake as opposed to getting unlucky. i dont what i was thinking. very bad spot there.
