$1.10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (3rd out of 40 Players)

I really wanted to get 1st, even more than usual because the winner also gets to take part in a $40000. prize. Not sure of the exact details, (haven't won yet), Still the pay out is a little better than normal. I should have won this easily, even though opponents were applying pressure from all directions (common when chip leader). The killing hand was an A/J off on SB final table, late position raises to 1000 I call flop comes AQx, I can't remember if i checked or bet, still opponent pushes remaining chips in pot over 3000, no draws possible unless he had K/J or K/10 which is less scary than an open ender. Immediately i thought he might have Q/Q but called in a mili-second, and saw his big slick. So the King kicker cost me 1/3 of my chips and put me in 6th place instead of strong 1st. This was only 1 of 2 SB i was able to play because of the pre-flop raisers and small stacks pushing all in. So when I was way ahead and saw the A/J I pretty much was willing to call anybody any amount. The last hand I was beaten by a high-card 10. On BB with 2 blinds left and 3 people. Knowing that I would call any raise with any mediocre hand which was 7/8 suited he had 10/7 off community cards held 3 Kings and 2 dead cards. he won with 3 Kings 10 kicker vs 8 kicker and so it goes. These sng's are promos offered for a limited time only. Instead of the 1.20 45 player SNG (7 pay-outs) this is 1.10 40 player (6 pays) amd one bonus. This was the 3rd so far the other I ended on the bubble and 16 place, so I'm still wanting to go for that 1st place finish. I will play another tonight or tomorrow.

$0.10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (3rd out of 360 Players)

I'm still blocked from playing on stars for 4 days, which is OK, since I excluded myself a few nights ago. I took over for a friend late in a SNG and lost. Played again and won (see previous entry) and this one came next. I got lucky and finished in 3rd place after being down to 1100 chips with 2 tables left. From there was able to build my stack first with A/K suited second Pocket Jacks vs pocket aces hit a jack on turn Whew. Then Once again with K/K eliminating 3 players. The rest were just small pots both win and lose. Needless to say I love winning 40 times the buy in, whatever the stake! Thinking about trying a different site, other than poker stars and full tilt. Will see ....

I had a good start this year! 1st month up about 1200-1300$ ! very nice! hope y'all had a gd month as well ! :)
 
 Anyway, Gd or bad...today its a NEW DAY, that means no matter what the past results are we can always improve and get better results:D

Wasn't able to play all day yesterday - no internet connection. This is the second of two SNG - went out on bubble the first and barely made it ITM this time. May play one more before going to sleep - maybe not. Will keep in touch! :)

Could have won this - if cards fell my way on the last hand. He pushed with 7000+ 4/4 I called with 6000+ A/3 suited, paired the 3 on flop but did not improve. and so it goes ... started adding links to my blogs (makes it more interesting), all links are poker related whether it's a song or video or cool site, will maybe include non-poker related links in the future. btw MarcoGrotius you call me a "bitch" like it's a bad thing? Not-offended. Think of something better ... :|

pufff...cant sleep!

Man..last night couldnt sleep..was hyper for more poker...but i had to rest i was tired..so i went to bed at 2..couldn't sleep till 3 AM! and i just woke up cause of sick peoples from bro work came and its only 7:48 ! that means i only slept for about 5hours..i feel sick..but wut the heck! made some coffe and started grinding! hope the sick feeling goes during the day!

January 22, 2010, 11PM: Played 2 hours, 4 minutes, Lost $102.27 at full tilt rush
$0.25 Pot-Limit Omaha

wow I just ran so bad in a couple huge pots that really killed this session.  One hand if I dodge a card I am winner, got it all in for about 50 three ways, me holding KK top set vs. 10 10 and middle set and a total moron with A 7 5 3 nut flush draw only on K 10 4 flop.  The thing that made me sick it 10 10 pots it for 1.50, I make it 6, the flush draw calls 6, 10 10 then makes it 30 and I shove for 50ish and nut flush draw insta calls it, needless to say Q of spades on river.  Also had a couple other unfortunate draws, but that was the only one I woke up my wife cursing at.  I really think I can beat this game pretty easily, just ran really poor tonight.
