August 19, 2006, 1AM: Played 1 hour, 24 minutes, Lost $75.60 at Doyles Room
$18 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (23rd out of 110 Players)

Doubled up on 2nd hand when top pair J with KJ beat QJ. Very next hand hit top pair J with AJ, got it all in again vs J9, donk hit the 9 on the river. F'n 3 outer. played really well after all the craziness, built up a huge stack, then the donks started gettin me. Sittin with QQ on button, one guy goes allin in front of me with A9 off, makes a 4 card flush after i flop my set. Couple hands later get KK in BB, button moves allin with A4, hits ace. Now i cant play my game. Then i get K10 in BB, 2 limpers. 3 handed to the flop of 2-2-K, 2 spades. I bet 3/4 pot. Big stack flat calls. Turn another spade. i bet 5000 into 7000, another call. i convince myself hes holding the nuts. river is another spade. i think about moving in, but i just dont have it in me. He checks and shows AK clubs for the win. he limped to no action in late position with the big stack on a tight table. He showed no strength at any point, and it paid off. I hate it when people play so poorly and win. Anyway, a few hands later i push in with A10 against the another limp by the same guy. he calls with 22. flop A and a 10. he rivers a 2. F me. no money

August 18, 2006, 11PM: Played 1 hour, Made $30.00 at Hamners
$5 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

it was only 4 handed when i got there and about to break up. normally i wouldnt even bother sittin down, but the biggest fish/donkey/any other derogatory poker name had about a grand in front of him, so i happily took a seat on his right, knowing he would call all my bets. Unfortunately, i couldnt pick up any cards to play, and the table broke quickly.

August 18, 2006, 9PM: Played 4 hours, 12 minutes, Lost $11.00 at Party Poker
$11 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (313th out of 2422 Players)

Annoyed, frustrated and sick of this fucking game.

Work the whole tourney to stay ahead.  Have about 35k in chips when the average is about 12K.  Pay 300 places and down to about 320ish players so the table is tight.

I wake up with KK in the BB.  Early player doubles the BB and I believe 3 or 4 players call.

I decide to raise just above the pot size to let everyone know where I am at as I don't want to take this hand against 5 opponents.  The original raiser "goes all the fuck in" with 99.  They all fold to me and I call, somewhat expecting to see either AK or possibly QQ, but I felt the initial raise pre was too weak for AA.  Most people limp re-raise not double then re-raise.

View Hand Here

So he has me just about covered in chips and risks his whole tourney life with 99, gets lucky and doubles up to about 70K.  I'm busted and fucking pissed the fuck off.  I blow off all my chips in the remaining two tournaments I am in, I know I will not have the diciplin or energy to play another god damn 5 minutes.

I can no longer justify trying in these fucking things.  What is the point? The same fucking shit happens time and time again.  I make a nice place with a solid hand and some fucking idiot makes an outragious play with some marginal shit, beats me for all my chips and I get all frustrated while they continue on with double the chips.

Does it ever end?

I should relax yes, but how can one cope with this over and over again? I've ran bad, we all have, but this is getting rediculious.  Seems like at every critical moment in a tourament, online or live, I get some 5% chance shoved in my face.

What can one do?

*although I am extremely fed up, I am still trying my absolute best to stay positive and motivated to succeed at this crazy game.
