$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (3,296th out of 4941 Players)

>Started off amazing... took control... in charge of the table... then of course this happens.
*(Me) KhKs... (Him) AdJd... (Board) JhTc9h9dAh.... I raise pre-flop... guy to my left calls... I bet the flop... he calls... At this point I put him on exactly what he had (either AJ or AT)... I bet the turn... he calls... Ah spikes the river... I check... he checks... I get sucked out on and lose half my chips.  I am so used to this by now that it doesn't even bother me anymore.  It's not over yet though.

>After this crap I obviously have to just wait for a good hand and shove it because the blinds are getting so high.  Then this is what happens next...
*(Me) AsKc... (Them) AdJd and AhJh... (Board) 5s9d6sJs7h... One of them raises in front and I push AI pre-flop... original raiser calls and guy on my left calls... Pushing AI with AK vs 2 AJ's is a dominating hand, they are atleast 3/1 dogs... they only had 2 outs to beat me as long as the board doesn't give either a flush (which it didn't)... Absolutely amazing how many bad beats I have been experiencing lately.

$0.05/0.10 Texas Hold'em

>Playing 9 handed fast table.

*(Me) TT... (Him) 22... (Board) 2s5h8hAs3d... He made a large bet on the river and I called.  Good start.
*99 beat by AA... Down to half.  My good hands are continuously beaten.
*Flop two pair and a flush hits the turn.  Have to throw it away.
*(Me) TT... (Him) 77... (Board) Jc7h6c8h7d... Absolutely amazing how bad I am running right now.
*Flopped a wheel... won a little bit back.

>Wow... last two hands...
*(Me) TT... (Him) AhQh... (Board) 3h8d4h5sJh... Breaks me.  Why do I keep losing with TT???
*AI with what I have left... (Me) JdJs... (Him) Ac6c... (Board) Ts3c3s8dAs... I should either give this game up cuz i suck or I am the unluckiest human in the world.

January 5, 2009, 1AM: Played 3 hours, 53 minutes, Lost $17.95 at Pokerstars
$0.05/0.10 Texas Hold'em

>Playing 9 handed fast table.

*I hold A5o... He had 29o... Board comes 4h9hAc2cKc... I called him down... lost a little.
*Hold 78s... Flop a straight draw but the board turned 3 to a flush... Not hitting many flops so far.
*Flopped top two pair holding AJo... the button pre-flop raised... I check/called the flop and check/raised the turn causing him to fold.  Collected a decent pot.  Still below even.

>Went broke... doing a real good job of throwing my money away.
*Had JJ... Flop is 777... He bets... I push AI... He had QQ. Love getting coolered.
*Coolered again by the same damn guy.  My 88 lost to his AA.  That is twice now.  Broke again.
*Get AKs in the SB... he had 44... he flops a 4 and slows plays it... K hits the turn... I become excited to draw dead... I lose again... and again... and again.

>Almost got back up to even money until this hand happened.
*(Me) 6Ks... (Him) QKo... (Board) KdKs5c10h4h...  Thought I had the best hand.

*Won a large pot on a good bluff pickoff.

*Doing pretty well... might make it if i stop getting this kind of luck.  I hold 1010... He had 44...  He flops a 4 and I double him up.
*Knocked out before the cut.  AA cracked by T9o... Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck

>Playing 9 handed fast again.  Just playing a few hands before I go out.

*Hahaha... very first hand I played... in the BB... Lots of raising and re-raising in front of me before the flop... I call with KK as do 3 others... board comes 5s4s2c9c3c... I check the flop and he really overbets the pot... I call... I check the turn and he goes AI with Js10s and only a flush draw... I call and a spade doesn't come and I double up on the first hand.  (wish it were this easy everytime)

>Good, fast session.  Time to go.

January 3, 2009, 8PM: Played 1 hour, 39 minutes, Lost $0.05 at Pokerstars
$0.05/0.10 Texas Hold'em

>Playing 9 handed at a fast table.

*Had pocket 3's and called a large raise... flop comes 7d6c4s... he bets... I call... 3 spikes on the turn.  I win big.
*Folded A3o... would have made the wheel on the turn... only a small pot though.
*Had AKs in the BB... only called a raise in front... Flop comes 4s10h5h... He bets... I call... Turn is a K and he pays me off on the river.
*Got 88 and lost some money by calling KK bets on flop and turn... got away from it on the river though.
*Almost lost everything... I had JQo and he had 22... board comes 2d7dQsQdAh... I called him to the river... couldn't get away from it... looks like I should have.

>Not getting many good hands now.  Down to about half of what I started with.

*Nearly doubled up... I hold KQo... He had JJ... He raised large in front and I called... board is Ks9h3s8s6h... It went---(FLOP) he checked, I bet, he called (TURN) he checked, I bet, he called(RIVER) he checked, I checked...  I should have pushed AI on the river and I would have got max value out of the hand.

>Played a little over 100 hands... flops seen to win ratio was pretty good.  Could have done without my trip Q's getting busted by a full house.

January 3, 2009, 5PM: Played 2 hours, 14 minutes, Made $2.00 at Pokerstars
$0.05/0.10 Texas Hold'em

>Playing at a full table.  Trying to focus on a tight-aggressive style of play.

*Folded AQo when a raise came from behind.  Would have ended up beating QQ with an Ah high runner runner flush.  (maybe a little too tight)
*Folded Q10o... would have made the nut straight.  (again too tight)
*Folded 310s... would have made a full house 10's full of Q's. (oh well)

>Fairly tight-passive table.  Not much action.  Able to steal blinds often.

*Holding 99... raised pot with 4 other callers... Flop came 227 rainbow... 10 on the turn.. called his bet on the flop... folded to his bet on the turn... put him on J's,Q's, or K's... he said he had JJ... (good laydown)
*Limped in with AA... board comes 9d7d6s6c10... pocket A's cracked by 3d6d... FUCK... guess I should have raised pre-flop but I know there would have been no action.  Now below even.
*Holding Q7o in the BB... 3 limpers in front including SB... flop comes 5c10c7h... I bet... one folds... button calls... SB min-raises... I fold... button calls... Q spikes on the turn giving me two pair had I not folded.  Winner shows a pair of 7's with a flush draw (2c7c).  Once again... I suck.
*Doubled up holding A9o and the flop came Ah4c9d... I raised before the flop and the button called... Turn came 5c8s... eventually went AI and my two pair beat his 1010... Put him on AQ or AJ... wrong assumption but won anyway.

>Not much action at this table.  Need a break.
