$0.5/1 Texas Hold'em

There -- I'm done with the penny-ante shit.  When I come back, it will be for real.  But not until onlinepokerlog.com happens.

October 17, 2004, 12AM: Played 40 minutes, Lost $11.00 at Party Poker
$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (5th out of 10 Players)

5th place.  Man it turns into a crapshoot at the end.  I thought I was in good position, but got my AQ beat by KJ on a KQ7 flop.  You need chips to buy pots late in those things because people are more willing to go toe to toe with you if you might get knocked out.

October 15, 2004, 12AM: Played 45 minutes, Made $26.08 at Party Poker
$1/2 Texas Hold'em

Every single thing I tried paid off.  Most were bluffs or position bets or whatver, and they always worked.  Obviously not the same players here, but wow.  I had actually hoped to lose...  I was down to $8.

October 11, 2004, 12AM: Played 6 minutes, Made $14.50 at Party Poker
$2/4 Texas Hold'em

Bad beat jackpot.  Played A4 suited and won on the turn.  Raised the preflop raiser when he bet the flop.  Jesse gave some good advice on that one when I got myself into trouble.

Did not get very many cards.  $50 is not a very big stack.  Last hand had AQ beaten by AK...

October 7, 2004, 12AM: Played 45 minutes, Lost $33.00 at Party Poker
$30 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (7th out of 10 Players)

7th place.  could not get away from pocket jacks when a queen hit on the turn.  That was a really bad play.  That should have been easy to lay down.  I was getting impatient.

October 6, 2004, 12AM: Played 30 minutes, Lost $22.00 at Party Poker
$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (7th out of 10 Players)

Got no cards, then made a couple hands when I was nearly down to the table to limp along for 7th place.  Got Kings cracked by 78 offsuit.  2TT9T board with 2 in my hand and I get raised on the river.  Do I call there? I folded and waited one more hand for that KK that got beat.

October 2, 2004, 12AM: Played 1 hour, 45 minutes, Lost $22.00 at Party Poker
$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (149th out of 759 Players)

149th place.  I raised with A6 suited in the small blind and the guy called with 64 offsuit.  I caught sixes and a flush draw.  I really should have been able to get away from that hand.  I mean all I had was middle pair.
