January 31, 2006, 3AM: Played 35 minutes, Lost $11.00 at Party Poker
$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (6th out of 10 Players)

I got involved in maybe three hands.  Went out on AT flop 68T, $1k pot, so I bet my last $300 all-in and get called by TT :(.

January 26, 2006, 1AM: Played 1 hour, 30 minutes, Lost $46.50 at Party Poker
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

I was playing fine.  Aggressive and good.  I was up more than $50.  Then I started playing very very badly.  Playing super aggressive with clear second-best hands, cisting me EXTRA bets even if I'm not good enough to fold them.  I also took a couple tough luck beats, so it could have been worse.  I need to learn to vary my play, but it is so much fun to be aggressive and get away with it.  I am quite sure that getting called by work at the end cost me a bunch of chips.

January 26, 2006, 12AM: Played 18 minutes, Lost $33.00 at Party Poker
$30 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (8th out of 10 Players)

Crippled myself betting top pair up against pocket aces.  OK, it wasn't top pair, but it was close enough.  Anyways, I managed to last a couple more rounds after being criplped down to 20 chips on the 3rd hand.  And the guy who knocked me out had to catch a river gutterball to get rid of me.  That's because I was PATIENT.  I was able to make 20 chips last a long time because of that.

January 25, 2006, 12AM: Played 2 hours, Made $0.08 at Party Poker
$2/4 Texas Hold'em

2 hours, 8 cents.  I should move to Ethiopia or something.  Oh well, better than my tournament play tonight.  Got up as much as $50 before breaking even.  I really didn't get much the last hour.  I made a few bad plays, too ;).

January 24, 2006, 11PM: Played 30 minutes, Lost $22.00 at Party Poker
$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (10th out of 10 Players)

10th is better than 4th for some reason.  Lost most of my stack reraising ATs preflop all-in.  Just gambling basically.  Guy had AK.

January 24, 2006, 11PM: Played 1 hour, Lost $33.00 at Party Poker
$30 Buy-In Texas Hold'em Tournament (4th out of 10 Players)

Fourth sucks.  And, as usual, it was simply patience that got me.  I was sitting there happy as hell watching the blinds go up, everyone evenly matched.  Then I start getting paranoid that I'm not being aggressive enough and will get blinded out of the tourney.  I overplay QT vs AK and lose.  Should have mucked it and waited for good cards to get aggressive.  Remember: Better to get blinded out than donked out.

For me, the end of a sit 'n' go is like playing chicken.  Who will flinch first? It is usually me, because the other players are playing poker, not chicken.

I finally actually won a hand (not this one, obviously).  Made a big bet on the turn with a flush draw and mid pair.  I think this game has not been kind to me in introducing me to it.  I would just like once to hit a flop perfect so I can try to figure out how to maximize the pot rather than whether it's worth calling these bets to try and improve.  Top pair top kicker wasn't bad (last hand), but they could have sent me home a winner instead of a loser :(.

January 24, 2006, 1AM: Played 35 minutes, Made $102.00 at Party Poker
$2/4 Texas Hold'em

I got so hot.  I was getting cards to play, hitting a lot of flops, and when I didn't hit, neither did anyone else and I prolly picked up two or three pots without a pair.  Was super aggressive and since I was winning I think people did not want to mess with me.  I also got lucky.  One hand I had pair of sevens and bet the river.  Got a caller, but he couldn't beat them.  Stuff like that.

January 21, 2006, 4AM: Played 1 hour, Lost $100.00 at Cache Creek
$4 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

I was completely lost.  Never reaqlly knew when to try to make a move on the pot.  I guess this game is all about position and reads.  I made one or two good laydowns (I guess).  I didn't get a lot of great cards.  I figured my pot odds pretty bad on one hand with a middle pair and a flush draw...  Guy bets $20 into me and I'm trying to consider calling $20 in a pot with $75 in it.  I figure I got 9 outs for flush + 5 houts for 2-pair/three of a kind.  I should have called there.  Instead I folded and put my $20 in preflop on AK suited and made nothing.

January 21, 2006, 3AM: Played 2 hours, 24 minutes, Made $242.00 at Cache Creek
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

Played 4-8 with full kill at Cache Creek.  Made a bunch on three hands in a row with QQ, KK, and 27 suited :).  All were kill pots.  I somehow was doing really well betting from early position.  Maybe it was the "that dude hits everything" attitude that other people had towards me.  After like 30 mins I was up over $300, so I didn't do much for the last two hours.  I got up when I got really impatient when I flopped a straight in the big blind.  I pounded that pit like someone did not make a flush on the turn, but they did, and it was obvious they did, but I kept pounding.
