April 20, 2006, 2AM: Played 1 hour, 30 minutes, Broke Even at Party Poker
$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (2nd out of 10 Players)

Got second again in the Step 1.  Jesse says I'm not aggressive enough head's up.  Not quite sure what he's saying.  Someone can check my hands and tell me what I did wrong...starts at hand 4035323431.  Only 9 hands heads up, so read 'em if you got the time.

April 15, 2006, 4AM: Played 4 hours, Made $14.00 at Bay 101
$6/12 Texas Hold'em

Lost 10 playing 3-6 for 20 mins before my 6-12 seat got called.  Was scared to death when Jesse gave me another 200 after the first 200 went away.  He said he wants to make sure I'm stuck 10k by WSOP time so I have to buy his seat.  Turns out even Jesse's best-laid plans go badly sometimes, because I started actually winning.  Now granted, I did not play all that great.  Was super passive after losing a couple hands on the river, but I made some hands and won some pots and was up over 200 at one point.  Jesse suggested I leave, but I stuck around not realizing I was up over 200 (I'm bad at counting money when it is $2 chips).  So I stuck around and loosened way up, playing horrible starting hands, but Jesse got red-hot and won 800 sitting on my left, so in a way it was a good thing we stayed.  Moral of the story is to avoid marginal starting hands and to be more aggressive.  I think I missed out on some chips with some non-bets on a few of my winners -- especially on the river.

April 7, 2006, 2AM: Played 2 hours, Broke Even at Party Poker
$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (2nd out of 10 Players)

WSOP Step 1.  Fricken forever at 3 handed, then made some good moves at 2-handed, but gave it back with some pretty bad play.

April 1, 2006, 10AM: Played 20 minutes, Made $12.00 at Chumash
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

Stopped at the casino for 40 mins during Kevin's bachelor party because the limo driver could not find any wineries.  Jesse and I sat down at a 3-6 table that was very passive.  We were playing like idiots because we had no time, but I did make a very nice bluff against Jesse which will go down as the hilight of my poker career up to this point.  I raise preflop, checked the flop, raised Jesse on the turn, bet the river, and he folded.  I guess he couldn't call me even if he knew I was bluffing since he had 10-high (I had 5-high).  It also took him all of 10 more minutes to do the same to me, but who cares?
