Super Turbo again...gambling is fun...sort of.

$33 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (2nd out of 9 Players)

Was not quite as aggro this time around.  Made a really nice suckout to get to three handed.  I was chip leader and call short stack for maybe a third of my stack.  I have Q9, he has K4 or something.  He flops top pair and I go runner-runner Q9 :).

When heads up there was a crazy stretch where we each went all in for about 5 hands in a row, trading wins.  He won the last one with my 55 vs. his 89 (bastard).  I became short stack at that point and went out on QT vs A3.

$22 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (6th out of 9 Players)

Played well, got bored.  More interesting things to do.  Self destructed after a particularly bad hand.

$24 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (10th out of 90 Players)

Knocked out one player.  Grinded and grinded and grinded until I just made an awful mistake with A-rag in SB.  I call the BB and let him see a flop (mistake 1), then I see 789 flop for second pair and bet pot (possibly mistake 2), then I get raised all-in and call (mistake 3).  Guy rolls over 92 FTW.

$22 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (6th out of 9 Players)

Never got any cards.  Could have lasted longer playing a little tighter, or could have given myself a shot by calling a guy down and hoping for a bluff.  Instead I took the middle road of running a risky bluff, then laying it down.

$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (7th out of 9 Players)

Boring.  Nothing happening.  Guy on my left was not letting me make any moves.  Finally I pick up top pair on the river one hand and shove for no good reason to see him slow playing trip 5's.

$33 Buy-In Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo Tournament (7th out of 9 Players)

This is a hard game.  I gambled with a decent hand (AA77 double suited).

This was a "super turbo" tournament.  You start with 300 chips and 15/30 blinds.  It was...gay.

May 27, 2008, 11PM: Played 45 minutes, Lost $33.00 at Full Tilt Poker
$30 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (5th out of 9 Players)

Lasted longer than I probably should have.  Made some good plays and some bad ones.  I really feel like putting pressure on pre makes me make better decisions preflop in the long run.  I like the way I played, but not the outcome.  I was pressing when I was in position and picking off blinds enough so that I could lay down marginal hands when someone raised into me preflop.

I was doing very well all tournament, then ran into JQ vs 22 flop J82.  Only way I don't double the guy up is to lay down preflop, which was an option, since I was UTG (instead I min-raised).

May 26, 2008, 6PM: Played 2 minutes, Lost $22.00 at Full Tilt Poker
$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (9th out of 9 Players)

Lasted until my big blind.  I pick up T7o and get three callers behind and the big blind limping, so I fire out 5x BB and see 78J flop.  So I fire 300 and get raised all-in.  I think to myself, "well, that's what I would probably do if I was him," so I call.  He rolls over AJ and I lose.
