December 12, 2007, 9AM: Played 4 hours, 9 minutes, Made $41.63 at Poker Stars
$11 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (48th out of 680 Players)

Rebuy and add-on, I take one re-buy and one add-on ;)

Disapointed in this one.

Was doing great, had over 100K, chip leader then fucked off 40K in two hands.  Then bled down to 35K.

Was watching agro boy on my right steal and make moves.  In the cutoff he moves all in for 50K when blinds are like 1500/3000.  I call with AQ and see his K9 beat me.  Stupid risk but then again I am a hero if it wins.

December 10, 2007, 11AM: Played 1 hour, 5 minutes, Made $203.30 at Poker Stars
$11.70 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 53 Players)

Another seat won, this time to the Sunday Million.

This tourney was a double shootout.  Your 1st table you MUST beat everyone.

Thanks to Nate pointing out my heads up weakness and working on it with me for about a whole 10 minutes I have improved head up 200%.

BOTH TOURNEY ANALYSIS
- Was extremely patient in both these tournaments I won seats in.
- I was not trying to be tricky raising early with 67s and shit like that.
- I was not confrontational with good pre-flop raisers, I just got out of their way
- If I did have a hand I was going to play pre-flop most of the time I did not re-raise the original raiser like I usually would do with the marginal of the strong hands, ex AQs, AK, 99, TT
- I mucked small pairs in early position once the tables were tightened down
- I was paying attention to how everyone was playing
- I was taking notes to keep that attention
- I took advantage of calling station and maniacs
- I avoided other "solid" players
- I worked with the stronger of the players near the end to chip away at the weak ones
- I kept my emotions calm when I did take a beat
- I layed down hands like AK, JJ and QQ preflop as I did not need to risk my whole stack at that time and had zero chips in the pot
- I was in a great state of mind to play

$11 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 45 Players)

Top two win seats to the sunday warmup.  I may not play and take the cash, we will see Sunday.

Need to start parlaying into the bigger events.  I feel like my Poker Stars Bankroll is not big enough yet to start popping off $200 every Sunday.  Maybe ;)

December 7, 2007, 5PM:
"More Stats" - What is working/What is not

I just got done reviewing my "more stats" overall and for the last 30 days.  For those that do not know this feature you can see what, where, hours etc.

For me, since I play different games, levels and tournaments on primarily two sites it is important to look at "what is working and what is not".

My conclusion is on Poker Stars I should stick with tournaments, specifically PLO when available and then Texas Hold'em.  On FullTilt I should stay clear of tournaments and concentrate specifically on lower limit Pot Limit Omaha games.

This was very blatant when I compared hours played with money won/lost.  I fight with myself though and think, "why can't I do well on Full Tilt tournamnents but do well on Poker Stars?" Bottom line, it doesn't matter.

Stick with what is working!

So I suggest to any of you who have mulitple things going on to view your "more stats", analyze it and make the appropriate changes.  For those happy with your success, don't change much but take a peek.

For those that are just playing the same game, limit and location and feel they are struggling, try and vary up your games.  Try new places and game types, online and live.  Find where you win and keep going at it.

Just my thoughts, happy hunting.

btw - just watched "Lucy You", not to fond of poker movies but this one was very realistic with "real" poker people involved, anyone that has spent time in Vegas or LA will recognize many of the people, not just the pros.
