August 31, 2007, 8PM: Played 5 hours, 30 minutes, Made $12.50 at Bob's

Dealer Choice, .50 ante, .25 minimum bet with a $5 max capped after 4 bets.

Players were Jim +139, Dave T +70, Me, Bob (20), Pat (5.50), Mike (80), Andy (20), Chuck (60) & Joe (36).

Jim was on fire all night and just killed everyone.  He had a couple of big scoops and kept increasing his stacks.  I started out good, making a couple of loose calls that paid off when people didn't have much. Was down to my last 12 and got it all in, Pat and I split the pot.  Also had an earlier split pot with Dave, we both had straight flushes.

August 11, 2007, 7PM: Played 4 hours, Made $50.00 at Tim's
$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (2nd out of 11 Players)

Players were Andy, Shane, Ron, me, Andy's dad, Tim, Bob, Dave, Gerbe, Scott, Mike.

I'll update later, but Dave won I took second, Andy took 3rd, Mike was 1st out of the money and Bob was 1st out.  It took forever once we were down to 4 and even worse at 3.  When we got to 2 I tried to get Dave to chop but he didn't want to.  Just got tired of playing and ended up throwing my last chips just to end the game.

July 13, 2007, 10PM: Played 4 hours, Made $19.00 at Mike's

.25/.50 hold'em with a $5 max bet raised 3 times.

Players were Mike +36, Tim (3), Bob (8), Jim (14) and Scott (30).

I won 2 or 3 hands as soon as I sat down.  I got there about an hour after everyone started, and I called with 2nd/3rd best hands and won because guys were playing loose aggressive.

Went a long time w/o a hand and then picked up a decent pot when Mike called 7stud, have to win twice and high heart takes half (I had 5 of hearts vs 3)

June 16, 2007, 6PM: Played 1 hour, Made $2.50 at Dave's
Texas Hold'em

There were 9 - 10 people playing a side game of .25/.50 hold'em with a $5 max bet raised 3 times.

I got in on this at the end and wish I would have played earlier.  When I 1st sat down (5 hands or so)people were playing loose and raising to $2 pre-flop often.  During that time I had hands of Q/Js amd 3/3 and folded so that I could get a feel for how people were playing.  Would have won both hands (flush and trips) had I been in the game earlier and knew to call the people that were foing the pre-flop betting.

I am not sure how accurate these results are but I know that Jim broke even and Dennis won $48.  I think Tim won $40 and Mike $20 or so.  I'll have to double check so that I can try to make my running totals more accurate.

June 16, 2007, 3PM: Played 3 hours, Made $30.00 at Dave's
$25 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (4th out of 24 Players)

24 people ended up at Dave's house to play in a game under a big tent in his back yard.

I chased a flush draw the 1st hand against Dave and ended up down $120.  Had 2 hands where I was either little blind or the button and played with crap, 5/6o & 6/3o, just because everyone else was in the hand.  Ended up flopping 2 pair with both hands and took down some chips.

We re-sat after going down to 2 tables (9/8) and as soon as I paid the blinds and was about to be dealer I had to move.  Moved over into the BB ($200?) and said I hope I get a big one because this was my 2nd BB in 3 hands.  Looked down to see 8/6 only to see 2 pair on the flop again.  Played this one more aggressive and got Tim to fold out, but 1 of Dave's work friends stayed in.  Ended up getting a $600 bet out of him on the river because he held hit pair on the board, Q.

The final table started with 8 people, myself, Mark, ??, F Lora, Shane, Mike, Nick, and ??.

The top 5 were to get paid out and Mike was 1st to make the money.  While there were till 5 left I was the BB ($1,000) and everyone folded around to me.  I still had not looked at my card so I flipped my 1st card to see what it was and there was an A, flipped the 2nd and we all saw another A.  SO my A/A pocket pair won me a whole $500 chip small blind.  Had I looked at my cards I might be concerned that I gave a tell but I never looked at my cards once before it was my turn to act all tournment.

Mark played very aggressive when it got down to 6 or less and was building his stack with preflop bets.  He was to my left and never seemed to do it against me (when I was BB), maybe because he was 1st to act?

I had roughly $4,500 chips as small blind ($600) and looked down to see K/K.  I decided that I wanted to keep Mark in the pot and try to double up thru him.  I raised it to $3,000 to go, an $1,800 raise for him, and he called.  The flop came 10 high giving him a pair (10/Jo) I got all of my chips in against him at this point only to see him get 2 spades on 4th and the river to flush me out.

The final 3 were Mark, Nick and F Lora.  They played for about half an hour and Lora was able to double up and stay alive a couple of times with big hands.  The final hand saw all 3 go all-in (I think it was post flop) with Lora putting all her's in 1st (1st to act), followed by Nick pushing all in and Mark calling them both.

The board held 10/J/x and when the cards were flipped Nick had A/A, Lora had 10/4 and Mark held 10/J.

1st - Mark $250
2nd - Nick $160
3rd - F Lora $110
4th - Me $55
5th - MexiMike $25

Dennis, Jim, Big T and Lora also played...along with Mike and his wife and their 'talkative' friend (don't remember his name).

March 31, 2007, 9PM: Played 6 hours, Made $45.00 at Bob's

Dealer Choice, .50 ante, .25 minimum bet with a $5 max capped after 4 bets.

Players were Tim (30), Mike (37), Pat (60), Tim S +52, Scott (even), Jim +10, Bob +20

Tim S came out and played and I am glad he was to my left.  He played it crazy Dave style and was getting lucky as hell.  He burned me once playing hold'em when I held K/K and he flopped an ace.  Got $7 I should not have called due to him not knowing what he's doing.

After he left I was able to build back up from the $3 I had left from my orig $20.  I was able to make $20 on King/little for the 1st time in ages.  I still see where I can bet and people will run like little pussies.  I used it to my advantage aganist Tim C when we were playing the big T (2's and low hole).  I only had 4 9's thru 5 cards but my hand appeared stronger and I got him to fold by throwing bets of $3 and then $5 the next card.  Pat could never get anything going all night.  Scott came late, was up big at 1st then swung down and ended up even, he played less than 2 hours.
