Did well until after the first break and then I hit a cardless wall. It was fun getting to play in a WPS tournament aboard our Mexican cruise...

August 19, 2007, 3AM: Played 3 hours, Made $50.00 at Cats Paw
No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Had fun playing with Jesse (Deiyuo) at the Paw for the first time in 9 years. Ran into Jay but he split soon after we arrived. The game was weak and played okay for a few hours. Played my hands and waited for the right opportunity to pop a few. It was hard to buy a pot or two with this calling station in the game and the typical donkey not knowing when they should fold.

August 6, 2007, 8PM: Played 6 hours, Made $240.00 at Agua Caliente
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

It was slow and go for 3 hours before I hit a freakin' heater. Down to my last $40 I took 9 hands straight, including, my first Royal Flush in 12 years!!! Two players went down to the river on this one with AAK106 on the board. Both players hit trip As but couldn't catch the full house which would have given me another jackpot (shit!). Awesome... For an hour or so I couldn't lose a pot and the table cleared out as a result. On a positive note I got to watch Vinne Jones (guy from Gone in 60 Seconds) play some NL. Curious why he was in Palm Springs this time of year??? lol.

August 5, 2007, 11PM:
Best Hold'em Player Ever!!!

It has been said that I'm the best player to ever play the game of hold'em. Sounds like something Phil Hellmuth would say but by God I mean it. Just ask Deiyuo and Daryl.

August 3, 2007, 10PM: Played 6 hours, Made $315.00 at Agua Caliente
$8/16 Texas Hold'em

Haven't had time or really the desire to play cards as of late. I have been putting more effort into other endeavors and my travels up north for a few weeks on the 16th. However, I made it to the local card room after having been sick as a dog and booked a nice win. I found myself laughing at the number of people wearing sunglasses, hats, and headphones as a means to hide their tells. I then came to the realization, at least in regrads to the players I watched last night, that these methods of screening their tells or making them feel more comfortable at the table makes it easier to watch their mistakes. For example, this guy in seat 7 (right in front of the big screen television on the wall) was wearing sunglasses and everytime he look at his cards I was able to catch a quick glimpse of his hand. Now it was too quick and the lighting wasn't that great to see the exact card but I was able to determine face card over a rag and red from black. This allowed me to put better percentages on my cards first and foremost but also allowed me to play into him based on this minor information. Having on my hat (lol) I was able to focus completely on this aspect without he or anyone else seeing that I was doing so...

LOL, it was fun regardless of which and I took a green simply by playing a majority of my hands against him where he was on a draw or making a bluff. Simply great!
