Bad beat + puching in my chips on a bluff, the guy got lucky after making a bad call and called me with a monster hand.  Couldn't catch a good run late enough.  I'm really pissed about how this night went.  Also I had a dealer here, she worked on tips and made over $200, that's money that should have been circulating the table, never do that again.

Started on a really lucky run for my $40.  Got really unlucky a couple times, bad beats + one unnecessary call for alot of chips.  rebuy once, bad beat and left.

August 8, 2006, 8PM: Played 4 hours, 30 minutes, Made $200.00 at Jackson Rancheria
$1/2 Texas Hold'em

I did my $40 buy in to goof round and play loose, and got stupid lucky.  I picked up a couple hands, cracked AA w/ A4 of diamonds, and went on a hard rush.  I trippled up w/ AK vs. AQ and 10's all in preflop 3 ways, and then playd good poker to put my around $470.  I started playing tight and wasn't changing anything, so i losened up and started seeing flops.  I wasn't hitting the flops, and I didn't feel like risking all that cash (I was the biggest stack on the table) in a game i wasn't running good in. I cashed out and went to eat, came back and bought in for small buy ins.  I never really started running good again, so after a couple $50 buy ins i called it a night. Overall i'm happy because I wasn't playing really good poker for the most part, but I took advantage of my hot streak, and didn't piss it all away when i started running cold.

On my original $40 buy in I actually built up a good size stack, over $200, then ended up pissing it away.  I fifugred I'd get my short buyin and screw around, so I threw $20 down and lost that when i didn't catch my draw.  I then stopped for lunch, and rebought for $50.  After doubling that up to over $100 I got a bad beat to bust out all of my money.  I shurgged it off as not my day and took off.

I tried to bluff because I wasn't picking up any hands.  I moved in with a K hi, and got called by AA.  Oops!

Played well, only made one bad play.  Raised all-in when i thought my opponent was on bad cards I had KJ, he called w/ AQ and i missed.  Other than that i doubled up by calling $100 into a $200 pot w/ a flush draw and what i thought were 2 overs.  Turned out i only had 1 over but i caught my flush.  All in all a fun game.  i need to play in it more often, if i play tight and solid I think I can make $ in it consistantly.

August 3, 2006, 12AM: Played 4 hours, Made $155.00 at Jackson Rancheria

Went in with a strategy this time.  Bought infor $40 and layed loose/aggresive, lost it, bought in a short buy for $20, nad moved in w/ bottom pair, lost that.  After the table thought I was just some lose idiot, I bought in for $50, and played solid.  I lost that, too when I pushed with top pair good kicker and got called by two pair.  I read the guy for strength, so I suppose I couldn've gotten away from the hand but I was invested enough, and I had the lose image, so he very well couldn've been raising me with a worse hand.  I rebought for my last $50 and just sat there for about 3 hours until really late.  I finaly started picking up some hands, and my lose image paid off when I got called after moving in with a made flush to a board with a 4 streight and a 3 flush on board.  He had 2 pair.  So my lose image worked, i spend $20 to earn over $60, and I got paid with my premium hands at the end of the night.  I walked away when i told myself I would, and I did it with a profit.

The cards just weren't falling my way.  I think I played ok, but I didn't have a ton of time and the game just wasn't playing out right for me.

I got abit to aggresive at a big pot with not that strong of a hand, it was early in the tourny.  Couldn't recover and busted out early.  I need to be more careful about making an agresive move early.
