Montana

Hey kids! I am done working at Big Daddy's in Spokane.  I am partially moving to Butte to work at Lucky Lil's with Jesse.  I am keeping my place in Spokane and will be back every so often over the next year. 
 
Peace and love to all of you in Spokane! And hello to all the Montana folk. 
 
I am really looking forward to working with Jesse and the crew again, and can't wait to see what the next year will bring for World Poker Solutions.

August 7, 2008, 7PM: Played 2 hours, 30 minutes, Made $345.00 at Big Daddy's
$50 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 29 Players)

This was a bounty tournament with the bosses as the bounties.  It was only ten dollars of the 50 to the bounty heads, so the payout was still good.  I never got a chance to knock one of them out.
 
Bout 5 minutes in, I double up by turning a straight and working a weak player that likes to donk off chips.  Then, I got crippled when I made a good read and called and all in.  The person only had 98, but ends up hitting two pair of the riv.
 
Just played solid from then on, stealing blinds, and then I got short stacked with about 13 to go.  I made a call with AQ and won against AJ.  Then, caught a couple more good hands and made it to the final table.
 
At the final, I actually got lucky twice, which is odd for me, because I usually have the best hand going in.  One was a 70/30 race, and the other, I had a chance to bust two player for about 30% of my stack, which would put me in the money.  Got down to three players and made a deal, taking $100 more, as they were both good friends and the blinds were creeping.

$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (2nd out of 20 Players)

Went in to put in my two weeks and decided to play the little tourney.  Usually full of donks, but I had some time to spare.  Just played really tight until I doubled up and then started pushing the kiddies around.  Got heads up and a7 got beat by KQ on the turn.  Nice little win.

Had to meet some friends at the bar, so I had Kurtis finish it out for me.  Didn't bode so well, being in 2nd in chips when I left.  But I checked the hand history and he did the best he could under the circumstances.
