$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

nice bounceback from yesterday.  was all over the place in this one.  got up about 110 early on, then was stuck about 40.  the hand that butchered me, I have random garbage on the button with nut clubs, the flop is 8 5 2 with 2 clubs, I also flop bottom 2.  the bb had raised preflop...it's checked around to me with 4 way action so I pot it for 10...the bb instantly pots over me to 40, I have about 80 in play.  I can't imagine what he raised with here that would beat me, and I have to be either drawing live or am good, so I shove it, and he calls and shows 8833, wow man, really? Anyway, I brick out and that's what cost me my win.  I was grinding for a good hour hovering around even, but finally woke up with a hand.  I have trash in bb, with nut hearts, someone min raises it and I of course call.  I flop the mortals on a 3 4 8 flop, all hearts.  I check it, preflop bets, another guy calls, so I insta pot it, would've been happy to get the 12 bucks or whatever that was in there.  The raiser folds, but the button calls.  The turn is a brick 7, I shove and get called by 4 4, the J peels the river and I drag about a 120 buck pot.  Hit a few other decent wins, mostly vs. short stacks that didn't seem to mind shoving into my top set with one pair.

April 9, 2010, 4PM: Played 28 minutes, Lost $162.70 at full tilt rush
$0.25/0.50 Omaha

tired after one job on way to practice and then other job, so had no business playing but wanted to get my points for the day.  one of first hands it's my sb vs. bb, I have A J J 10 and limp, he raised I call...flop is A 7 8, so I peel off and find the yahtzee 9 on turn, I check raise and he shoves over for 50 and rolls over 8 9 9 J with spade draw and finds the flush on me.  Then I really started playing way too many hands after that and really self inflicted this loss.  Very disappointed in how I played today.

$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

was actually up another hundred, but finally lost a pot I had a few chips in.  The one hand I lost I am in bb with A 8 3 3, one limper, me sb I call, flop is A 8 6, I lead and get raised, turn 3, so now I am married to it, like a moron, they pot, I call, river is a J...I pay off the 24 all in and am shown the case aces.  Not too happy with that hand as they raised or bet every step of the way.  Most of this session I was really just playing pretty mellow, try to take advantage of position.  Got lucky a few times vs. aggressive donkeys who couldn't fold a big pair or a smaller flush.  Really happy with how things are going on here lately.

was stuck about 50 early on having an annoying beat put on me, but for some reason I can't remember exactly what it was, just recall bitching about it to my wife who was sitting with me.  I got even, then I got all in pre with AA vs. AA and he had a random 2 on the 2 2 x flop so that stung.  After that I went on a flush rush.  I must've flopped the nut flush draw 10 times and hit all 10 the rest of the session.  Every time it seemed I had position and the aggressive player kept firing into me.  Also had another hand where I flop top set vs. preflop raiser and he open bluffed 40 into the river on the K 9 7 3 9 board with Q 10 10 8, was pretty happy with him calling my betting on the flop and turn after I saw that trash.  Running pretty smooth lately and very happy about the ability I have had to get on a cooler and not make it worse by pressing after I get stuck or take a beat.  One of my major problems is getting into the fuck it mentality and just shoving on draws or trying to get guys to lay hands down.  I really think rush poker is good for me in that regard because the hands come out so quick I really don't have too much time to dwell on a kick in the nuts hand, I am forced to move on.

$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

no clue what tomorrow will bring so thought I would get my points in quick for the day and not have to worry about it if I get busy.  Was stuck 30 blinding off first 15 minutes, then finally woke up with AA vs. an aggressive donkey that had KK, after I just smooth called him on the flop I was able to get a nice payoff when a baby board pair hit.

just trying to keep my status up for this little take 2 promotion that is worth a free 25 bucks.  I only have a little break today with both jobs and coaching so thought I would sneak in this session.  Not much really to speak of, flopped a set vs. nut flush draw and guy turned other flush draw and bricked out for a nice pot.  Had a couple big draws I missed but I felt like I lost the minimum on them, got away from a few decent hands out of position which makes me happy!

April 5, 2010, 5PM: Played 23 minutes, Made $121.85 at full tilt rush
$0.25/0.50 Omaha

had a couple hands really work out for me, the first one I have AAxx and it was unsuited trash, I limp under the gun, it's raised and reraised back to me so I potted it hoping to take it down but get called in both places, it comes a total ragged 8 5 3 flop and I shove and get called by QQ for a 112 buck pot.  The other hand I actually lost, but lost the minimum, I have AQ1010, flop is K 10 3, I pot it in position and a blind calls, turn comes 3 and I bet small and get check raised the minimum, the pot is like 11 bucks, I wanted to ram him on the river, but for some reason when he bet 7 really quick it just felt fishy to me, so I called and he showed quads.

$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

had a little more win, but ran into a tough hand...I have KQJ10 double suited late postion, cutoff I think I was in...unraised pot, I limp...ends up 4 way, flop K Q 4 rainbow, checked to me I bet 1.50 into the 2 buck pot one caller, turn is a 2 that gives me a 2nd nut flush draw, I bet after the check for 3.50 or something and get check raised pot to roughly 15, the guy only has another 15 or so behind so I put him in and he rolls over QQ and I can't find any of my numerous outs and ship him about 35 bucks.  that was about the only pot I was involved in that I lost any significant chips in.  kinda feeling that roll starting to come back like when I built this up, am getting close to a grand again so hoping it continues to run smooth for me.

$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha

had another 20 or 25 winner, but was a pretty aggressive pool I was in.  the pots that I really drug a lot of chips were ones where I kinda limped along with AA and position instead of repopping and it really seemed to get people to believe they had me beat.  Trying to get back to really worrying a lot about position and it's working so far, maybe I can resume the heater I had going a couple months ago at this limit.
