Set of 2s on first hand, and then play good, tight poker.  Light action.

January 30, 2009, 10AM: Played 4 hours, Lost $430.00 at Limelight
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Terrible night, made two plays and they didn't work out.  One cost me $75 and the other $150.  Otherwise, lost one big hand with j10, in late position, call $15 raise.  Flop comes 10106, bet comes $25 and I raise $30 more.  Call.  Turn comes A, check to me I bet $40, she reraises to $80.  I think she has AK, so I go all in.  She thinks about it and calls...she has AA.  What a turn.  I lose $200 on that hand.

$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Misplayed one hand terribly.  Limped against seat 1 with AA after a $15 raise.  I figured button would reraise, but no other raises.  Flop comes 225, two checks, I bet $60.  Button goes all in to $100, seat #1 calls.  I had $80 left and called.  Should have easily laid it down, terrible call!

January 23, 2009, 3PM: Played 5 hours, Made $171.00 at Limelight
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Limped with AA, one raiser, then made it $41 total, one caller, one other all in $13 more.  Flop came K high, I bet out all the way to river.  Faced KJ and KQ.  $300 pot.

Nothing else too memorable.

January 21, 2009, 4PM: Played 2 hours, Made $301.00 at Limelight
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Big hand, A9, flop comes K99, bet $35, I raise to $100, he reluntantly calls. Two hearts, flop comes 8, he checks, I be another $100, he goes all in $50 more.  He shows 109, river comes Q.

On last hand, layed down pocket 99s, when board came 3, 4 6, rainbow.  Preflop, I bet $15, and one person (who had just lost about $350 in 30 minutes), raised to $30.  Flop comes, I check, player bets $50, raiser goes all in to $157.  I fold, player calls.  Raiser had AA, other had 88.  Of course, turn comes 9 (argh!!), and river goes 8.  AA gets cracked again.  Even though I would have won, that was a good, solid lay down, though not exactly difficult to do.

January 19, 2009, 8AM: Played 30 minutes, Made $146.00 at Limelight
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

AA on first hand late position, raise to $11, 4 callers.  Flop comes KQ6 - two hearts, seat one goes $18 (reraising him for sure), then another player makes it $45.  I think about it for a bit and then simply call.  I was thinking of laying it down, had to see another card.  I thought I could be facing KQ, but apparently not.  Turn comes blank, two checks to me and I bet $75, both players fold.  Player one was on a K with mid kicker and reraiser was on flush draw, no doubt.

Won a couple hands, left on a good little uptick in only 30 minutes of play.

January 16, 2009, 12PM: Played 2 hours, 30 minutes, Made $384.00 at Cache Creek
$4 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

First time here, saw some really weak play.  One player proceeded to overbet every pot he was in, going all in 4 times within 1 hour on small pots.  He calls with gut shot on turn and lost about $100.

All in all, a good night, no risk, high reward.

January 15, 2009, 8PM: Played 3 hours, Made $222.00 at Limelight
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Got very lucky.  AK against A10, only $65 in front.  Flop missed me, he goes all in, only $40 to me, so I call after betting $25 preflop.  I got lucky and made straight on river.  $150 swing.

Move seats and get some good hands, the best being when I'm holding QQ, rock behind thinks about reraising me after I bet $22, but he just calls.  Flop comes all hearts, I hold the Q of hearts.  Player goes all in, I call immediately.  I say to the rock, that I have him beat, I have a better hand and have a redraw.  He folds KK (K of hearts).  Blank blank on turn and river and my Qs hold up.  Unbelievable! Next hand, I get KK, bet $25, he calls.  Board comes 8 high, no straight/flushes, I bet $50, he mucks 10s.  Amazing!! Good players don't go on tilt!

Proceed to get AA, hit top set.  Next I hit, top set JJ against AK.

Nice day, but didn't play too well in the beginning, pressing a little too much.  Once I get a few hands, my game improves, just need to start playing right from the beginning.
