December 8, 2007, 2PM: Played 6 hours, Made $210.00 at Limelight
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Small stack goes all in, i have straight draw, and flush draw so I call $30 and there's another caller.  There's about $130 in pot, and the river comes A.  I now have a pair with 4 kicker, but missed flush/straight draws.  One player is already all in, and I check and opponent bets $25.  He has to have A with bigger kicker or already hit two pairs.  I know that he knows that he has to beat the all in player.  So I fold and to my surprise, he takes this $25 side bet and folds immediately and lets the other guy take the pot.  Very very strange play and come to find out he knows the other player.  I should have called the floor, but I'm not sure there's much recourse for that type of collusion.

All in all, a good night, but did chase a bit too much at end of night.  Was up $750 as one point.

that is the definition of collusion. totally unfair. but if this is just some local home game, there's not too much you could do about it. in a real cardroom or casino, you can have these players punished, no question. and i would. they're cheating you out of your money.

You should inform the floor of the situation just so that they are aware of it. They may not be able to do anything for that paticular hand but they can keep an eye on it and if they get other complaints or notice something they will take care of it....
