$7.50 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (5th out of 10 Players)

*Although these step ones are turbo crap shoots, I'm running extremely bad in them right now, that is to say, when 3-4 left and the short stack stacks off and is behind he gets there. When I am ahead and stack off they get there, when I have a big pair some agro makes a donk play back with Ax or KTs and gets there.. I just have to pound through it and play the best I can*

These are all my Step Tournaments for Stars I will consolidate the entry for simplicity.

Played in 113 Step 1's so for.

*Turbos suck ass and turns into a crap shoot*

My value of all step twos are $648 so in the 10 hours of play and almost 100 steps played.. I'm "ahead" a whole $45 about.

To maintain my invested value I will need to turn 7 of my 21 step 2s into step 3's. Since top 5 out of 9 stay in the system, 3rd and 4th repeating step 2.. I think this will be "easier" to do then Step 1's.

I may think about saving time and just firing off step 2's from now on.

March 17, 2008, 12:00PM Posted by DeiYuo	yes, they are like the Party Poker steps EXCEPT on Party they would close the step system down before the event and refund your account cash for all steps you had remaining. Stars does NOT do this.. they keep them open and running. As far as level of difficulty.. I have only been playing steps 1 and 2, which seem to be the most difficult, because they are turbos and all the low rolling donks gamble in them. The 1st step also only really pays top 2 while step 3 and up pay down to 5 or 6 and either move you up or down the step system. Jimmy (mtcarddealer) buys into step 2 or 3 and seems to be able to run them up to step 6 fairly "easy". If you don't have the time and patience to deal with the donks at step 1 and 2 I'd recommend to dump $400-$800 into step 3s($82 each) and grind them up. Also note, there are 4 step systems running; EPT - European Poker Tour WSOP - World Series of Poker LAPT - Latin American Poker Tour APPT - Asian Pacific Poker Tour At times I accidentally buy into one thinking it is WSOP when it is EPT.. Since they all cost the same at every level.. I don't know why Poker Stars just doesn't call and make them all "Step Tournaments" and then just let their players choose which Step 6 to play for be it EPT or WSOP. Anyways, WSOP Step 6 pays.. 1st $2500 + 10K seat* 2nd 3rd $1500 4th 5th $1000 6th $ 500 *not sure if the seat is cash or a forced buy in based off your account info. If you find out please let us know.

Are these hard? What do you get as a final prize? Is it cash or WSOP satellites or both?
