August 16, 2013, 1AM: Played 13 hours, 30 minutes, Made $1,135.00 at Hard Rock - Hollywood FL
$560 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (150th out of 3389 Players)

Started on time which is unusual. Had a snug table and got them adjusted to a fast pace game.  Got some nice trap hands in my favor. As well as had a maniac image which caused pay offs.  Then went on a rush and played it hard. Avoided some other big stack confrontations with pot control. May have lost out on chips but wasn't left to any decisions for my stack.
Ended day one strong with 270k in chips, ave is around 120k ish.

Day 2: playing well. Grinding. Ducking out pots with non all in players.
Had 2 critical plays. AK vs 88, flop flush draw and overs. I call on flop and turn, hit to double up.

KK vs KK(short stack) and AQ. Fold pre, yes... Fold pre.
AQ raise 4x pre, I flat, short shove, AQ ships for 600k. I had 550k at the time and know I'm ahead but don't want to risk my tournament life. I can find better spots. Plus my gut is freaking out screaming fold. AQ spikes an ace and I avoid elimination. 3 hands later I pick up 160k with the but straight.
On dinner break with about 700k. Blinds 10/20k and 175 players left.

Out... 3 hands raise in a row got shoved on. Made stand with AQs lost

Hey DeiYuo.  I used to post as EightFive if that wasn't obvious enough.  Haven't played much for a couple years, so when I played a lot again this summer I wanted to keep it separate, but anyways...Good to see you posting again.

Have to say...the KK fold got my attention.  This must be a unique fold for you in that spot, right? How deep were you and the 4x raiser? How short was the short stack? What position were you and the all in player in? Did you have any reads on any of them? Old guys or young? What was the reason for flatting KK (not that it was bad obviously, but was it to induce and then you changed your mind?)? Certainly the AQ guy is way more likely to shove given that you just flatted?

Just very curious! Wish I was playing in those events as well...especially if people fold KK pre lol.
