August 23, 2013, 3PM: Played 30 minutes at Bovada
$0.25 No-Limit Texas Hold'em
One table of 6max. Really focused in on reads on people. Made one tough call on the river that was really close and was wrong. Not sure if it was a mistake or not. Added on $5 twice so was in for $35 total and my stack was at $27 or so when this hand came up: EP min raised (which did not mean a whole lot based on what I had seen from him so far), MP called. SB raised to 1.25. I had AKo and made it $4.50 and the UTG shoved for $22. SB folded. UTG had just lost a decent sized pot so I thought it was range was slightly wider than it normally would be. I had to call something like 17 to win 29 and figured it was pretty clearly supposed to be a call. I hate having to make that call which leads to me flat calling pre a lot to avoid being put in that situation, but having watched a lot of vids lately I am pretty sure it is good to just 4-bet then get it in there. He had JJ and I was lucky enough to win.
An orbit or two later I raised AA utg and got a call and was able to get it all in against a player with KJ on a K high board for about another $18 or so. Very happy with my decisions in the other smaller "less important" hands throughout the decision and how much attention I played to other players at the table.
