First 100 MTTs
I just finished my 100th MTT since I switched from playing SNG's and cash in June. I am pretty happy with my results. I played almost all 1 and 2 dollar tournaments, with probably about 4 five dollar ones mixed in. The average size field I played in was 805 people. I made 6 final tables with one win and one third. Cashed for $525 with a profit of $331 profit.
I plan on comparing my next 100 tournaments to this first set of 100 and I have a few goals. I would like to make 8 final tables, cash in 33 tournaments (I cashed in 30 during the first 100)...and my most important goal: I would like to win 3 tournaments and be in the top 3 5 of the 8 final tables I make. To do this I will need to improve my end game. I am not nearly aggressive enough, especially on the final table bubble when everyone is just trying to get there. I think I have improved a lot during the second half of my first 100 tournaments and my results show this so I am hoping to continue that in the future.
This post was not meant to be a brag-post but a reminder to me to look back and compare my results to measure how I play over the next couple months. I also hope it works to motivate me when I sit down to play a few tournaments and I just don't care about the couple dollars I buy in for.

Nice
I switched to Ultimate Bet for shits and giggles because I have been successful in the past with them -- just am not a fan of their boring table layout. So i alternet to FTP sometimes to play in those big tournaments, but nothing ever comes from that site but bad beats. The nite of the switch I placed 2nd out of 657 entrants in a 2500 garuntee because UB is cheap like that. Was able to rake in 500 bones. The next night I enter a tournament and placed 3rd of 350 people in the 2500 garuntee and raked in 200 bones. The cash games have been remarkably profitable for me as well because there are so many stupid morons playing online these days that have no clue!!!!!! But after a 3 month layoff its nice to rake in some money. We all could agree that when online sites let us win some money once in awhile we all tend to turn to the happier side of life.. no?

Poker Cruise
Well, Jesse and I are finally back in Napa after spending a couple of days on the beach in LA. Needless to say, we needed a bit of wind down time after 7 days at sea.
The poker cruise was a lot of fun. We would spread some tournaments, then have a couple of 1-2 no limit games, and a 3-6 structured game here and there. After we shut down the poker room, it was a night of drinking and dancing at the top of the ship. I played several times and did pretty good for the whole trip. My bar tab came to 500 dollars, which was not the record for one person in our party...lol.
I will be posting soon the results of my wins and losses.
I'll be back in Spokane Friday, and back to the daily grind at BD's.
Talk to you all soon!
Daryl

Absolute Poker
Wow. I have been reading a thread at pocketfives.com and Jared "TheWacoKidd" Hamby has posted a very interesting claim of cheating on Absolute. If you would like to check it out follow this:
http://www.pocketfives.com/445F78F0-7D44-4F3B-AF24-0AFA96F28812.aspx
I tend to believe their claims but I hope it is all some kind of joke, because the potential bad press this could recieve if it blows up could be terrible for the legal future of online poker.

Taking Time
I have not posted of late. Have not been playing for money. Taking time to study. I'm a new player and when I look at my stats I'm not happy. I got the one AC win and that put me in the black. But my other performances need much to be desired. So I am taking time off. Being new to the game I find this time off a good thing. I read books, play sit and goes for play money so I get some poker practice,(which I think might be the only way to get poker practice for play money. All the rest is nonsense.) and I just bought wilson's simulator and when that comes I will see what I can glean from that. I guess what I'm saying is taking time, especially for one new to the game, is important. Take time to look at your game and plug holes. In the long run I do not see how it can do any harm.

POKER IDIOTS
It really is amazing what you come across in the poker world these days. I was dealing tonight, was expecting to get of at about 12:30 AM, but noooooooo. The inevitable occurred. To of the most moronic poker players decided to play a few hands heads up. I will not say any names to protect the idiots, I mean innocent!
One player was a newer player that went through one of my old students dealer school. Basically he has the itch and doesn't know when to quit. I don't think he even made it through the class.
The other player was just a stone cold donkey, who donates when he comes in, and always stiffs the dealers.
It's pretty sad when you have to prompt for blinds and control the action in a HEADS UP game! So, I just gave in, and they figured it out on there own.
Now, my co-worker and I are probably the two fastest dealers on staff, so what the hell, rake the shit out of the game. Not once did they ask for a rake reduction, or commented on where the chips were going.
Player one started out with 280 in chips, player two with just around 200. Once player two went bust, an hour and fifteen minutes later, player one cashed out for 250. Yes, we raked 230...some tips from player 2, in 1:15! They both didn't have a clue, and it was actually fun taking that much money in rake for the house, as the poker room has been a bit slow lately.
Just thought I would share with you guys, hope you like my story!

School
I have started school again so my days of entering every small buy in tourny Full Tilt runs during the day are over. I hope I will have the chance to play some tourneys during the weekends but I may not be on much other than a few live games here with some friends, and the weekly free tournament the poker "club" runs. Hopefully fall break gets here soon so I can waste away a few days making final tables again (the term again used kind of loosely lol)....good luck anyone who happens to read this.
