This was not a fun day.
I went with Mike and Jill Saterday morning to go enjoy a tournament. They don't get to play in casinos ever so I thought I would be their host.
The tournament starts at 10:00am, we arrived at about 9:20. Plenty of time to register, get some coffee and chat.
We realized, they don't do it here the typical way. They only have room for the 1st 40 players, after that you become an alternate which replaces busted players in the first hour of play. They also take sign ups in an unorthadox fashion. Priority is given to all seated players regardless of what time you arrive to sign up.
So we line up in the non-seated players area to sign up. We ideally would like to get into a cash game to "jump" the line, but so did 20 other people and the lists to get into a cash game are sick, as well as all seated players are not getting out of their game until THEY sign up.
So this is just a disaster. We are like 20th on the alternate list to get into the tournament once it starts. Jill is fortunate enough to be the very last alternate seated after the 1st hour of play.
So while she played I jumped into a reckless 3-6 no fold'em hold'em game. It was not having a great time dealing with low limit game talk and play so I got out with my $100 loss.
Jill did not fair to well in the tournament as she moved all in with her TT and got called by a K4.
We left three dissapointed customers. They should really change their tournament policies, they had the tables and man power to run a 6 table tourney, easy.

I win a seat for the sun million worth $215, but since I don't get to touch that money I count the session as a loss, when I play sunday it will be a freeroll and anything I win will be positive.

Rebuy boy, I had a nice stack and lost all of it during the re-buy period being an idiot. Just bet my stack off into a set, all he did was call not to scare me off. I totally overplayed the top pair. Didn't need too, had a great stack, could never recover.

This is one of my favorite tournys and I don't like going out.
It is cheap and fun but I can never do well. I just can't control my raising when I pick up a strong hand. I mean, how can I not raise the shit out of it when I have a wrap on the low, the st8 and a flush draw?
