August 9, 2011, 10PM: Played 4 hours, Lost $550.00 at T&J's
$3/6 Texas Hold'em

Chett in for 500 out 550.  50 winner
Margo in for 2 x 300 out 0.  -600 loser

Tough night, not an easy line up.  Margo stuck in a lot of bad spots.  Maybe she should have pushed a few more hands? She kept looking for a triple up situation.
Chett played too fast tonight against a tough table. Need to slow down a bit.  Thinking about spending the time & money at easier games (3hrs away...sucks).  p.s. I picked off a bluff against J. He 50 fired into 48pot.  I called with A high 6 kicker.  I may have called with s little as J high??

August 1, 2011, 12PM: Played 5 hours, 30 minutes, Lost $600.00 at Sandia
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Bald tattooed Jesse raises to $10 from early position.  This is the fourth hand in a row that he has raised to $10.  Two callers to me and I call with Js10s.  Four ways to KsKd4h flop.  Jesse bets $25 into $40.  Folded to me and I call thinking he pretty much has me as a nit and will fold to a turn bet.  Turn is a Kc.  He bets $50 into $90.  He has about $170 left and I have him covered.  I shove thinking that this is a very tough call for him to make with pairs like 88 and worse or a four.  He insta-calls and shows KQ.  Of course.

July 21, 2011, 10PM: Played 5 hours at Ceasars Palace
$85 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (2nd out of 60 Players)

started off well. was able to more than double up before the 1st break.  had a couple hands that gave me some big chips.  then i get JJ under the gun short makes it 2.5 bb i make it 10 bb nad call and call. then original shoves i re-shove and have everyone covered. and they both call after me.  AJ was 1st and QQ was after me followed by K J.  so i was drawing almost dead and KJ won after the A hit and the Q hit he got a straight.  That put me back to the starting amound of 7500 at the break.  i build it up slowly again but make a few bad timed bluffs against a lady that kept beating me.  and a few top pairs against her as well.  I get pretty short stacked about 7 bb when i get aq un button and i shove i get both blinds and that brings me up to about 9 bb next hand is qk again i shove and get snap called by the player to my left with kk.  i manage to have my one suckout for the night as i river Qs full of aces.  after that i start stealing some blinds again and i almost triple up when i get A 9 spades and flop 2 spades check check i bet then call call the then turn they bet small and call so i call and river is a spade bet call I shove the nuts 1st folds and 2nd calls and he is eliminated in 8th so we all made the money.  another one goes so 6 left.  I was 2nd in chips and not by much close to 1st i get into a limp pot with As 6h flop comes 3s 4s qs 1st to play makes it 6k the bb was 4k the 2nd to act calls and i call. turn is a 2s 1st checks 2nd makes it 6 i go 16k 1st player folded AA then next calls.  river is another 4 i bet 20 and they shove.  i tank for about 5 minutes then finally decide to lay down the nut flush with a pair on board for all my chips and they show the straight flush.  we chop shortly after 6 ways giving the 1st player about $200 more.

then again 10 j and sucked out against an AQ.  ended in 3rd out of about 90 the 150 was a bounty on a player.  also won a prize package worth 900 but hoping to sell for 600.

July 4, 2011, 2PM: Played 2 hours, 15 minutes at Rio
$235 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament

played so good to lose like this.  Played very tight won every decent pot showdown, bought a few pots was feeling good. had double the avg. stack + when i get KK make a huge preflop raise.  like 6 times the bb got called by the only person with more chips with me flop comes 2 diamonds and q high.  i bet 3/4 pot she reraises i reraise he calls turn is a blank i bet small she goes all in i call she has A Q of diamonds i had the K of diamonds and the river is of course the A that would have made me chip leader in a 1000+ field. Really feel like I need to get a win its been a while and thought that was going to be it.  Oh well I do feel I am over my shitty slump it sucks the wsop is almost over now that I have corrected some of my bad habits.

Jonathan Elson Big fan of the classic card deck option..

Adam Arriaga Im going with lite green deck / standard , it looks awsome with the background its easy to see whos in or out. I tried the other card faces but it was to shocking to my vision to try to adjust from other sites , how about new dealers more hot chicks lol

Jonathan Elson My favorite dealers are the American male dealer, and also the very sexy American female dealer. I noticed the American male dealer looks like Jimmy Pop Ali from the Bloodhound Gang. He always deals me some winning hands.

MintedPoker.com That's Cool Jonathan we hope everyone can find one they like

MintedPoker.com Thanks for the feedback Guys I will pass on the suggestions to Neil for him to look at when he comes in on Monday

Jonathan Elson I like the site it is similar to Poker Stars. I play Minted and ClubWPT, and will try to get some more people to join Minted. I really like the fact that you can upload your own avatar to the site. My favorite section of the site is the small stakes Sit&Go's.

Adam Arriaga its nothing like PS " jonathan" how dare you !!!! there are quality players here evern in the FR's

Adam Arriaga I play as Aceofaustin find me on the FR's im still BR building , I like this fANtastic and Minted FR's but i would like to see more ppl getting paid maybe like five or ten places gettin paid out , I have only played a couple times and im sure i will cash in it just a suggestion.

Adam Arriaga you know whats bull shit that in the FR $1 added , that ppl can still buy in to the game after the final table and keep buying in I have been in the lead and lose because i get bought off , get bought off because the blinds are so large tha...t sucks and you are forced to play lets say you have 30k in the final table and the blinds are 5k/10k antes 500 or 1000 with 8 ppl left and there are 4 ppl re- buying continuosly, the guy with no bank has no chance at all plz make it final table rebuy end winner take all that will fix this problem poker is great till final tablesSee More

MintedPoker.com Hi Adam - I think your right with this comment I watched one the other day as someone had emailed Neil and he asked me to check the tournament. I have emailed Neil and he will look into this next week and try to have it corrected in the near future. The issue is the rebuy time is excessive for the number of entries and needs reducing drastically, leave it with Neil and he will try to get this rectified.

Adam Arriaga Thanks for getting back so quick oh , tournys starting , i do love minted poker , everything is really awsome , sounds , tables , players and the randomness of the shuffel is the best , unlike FT or PS once on PS i was dealt AA rockets 12 hand back to back , and on FT I hit 2 royals in one day, they set it up for the rake its obvious , thanks for being a great site ....aceofaustin ...

MintedPoker.com Hi Adam Just an update on your feedback concerning the $1 added we have altered the buy in times to 30 minutes that will take effect from tomorrow after 10am server time

Tuesday at 4:31pm
Adam Arriaga wow !!! I am impressed ty and im sure everyone will ty too .good luck on the felt

Bluffers are unusually still. You should always note how animated an opponent is after betting. There is often an obvious decrease in movement if an opponent is bluffing. Players who have wagered on strong hands are typically more relaxed and their movements appear natural. Bluffers are more rigid and restrained. Often they freeze. They try to appear invisible, fearing that the slightest motion will trigger your call. Think of a person hiking through the mountains and encountering a rattle snake. If they’re smart, they’ll freeze, wanting to do nothing that will encourage a strike. That’s how bluffers act. If bluffers move at all, it’s usually at the last moment in desperation when a call seems almost inevitable. But, even at that final, fateful moment, most tend to remain still.
