March 15, 2008, 7PM: Played 1 hour, 30 minutes, Broke Even at Tim's
Dealer Choice, .50 ante (mainly), .25 minimum bet with a $5 max capped after 4 bets.
Played with a few of the women who really didn't know much about dealer choice games and it was agonizingly slow. After a while I couldn't take it anymore and had to pack it in, 15 minute hands just were not going to cut it.
I will update once I know what the other guys did results wise, the only one I rememeber is dawn winning about $68 on the last hand. Mike was down 20 - 40, Cara down 36, bob and gerbe?

March 15, 2008, 4PM: Played 2 hours, 30 minutes, Lost $50.00 at Tim's
$40 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (11th out of 16 Players)
$40 No limit hold'em tournament with 1 $10 rebuy and 1 $10 add on plus $10 bounty.
Never needed to do the rebuy, was up chips right away. My table was very timid, like a limit tournament. Was able to build up a decent stack early on with some good cards.
My decline started when Steve Bonham went all in for his last $540, I believe he had J/9s. I was next to act and moved all in (3,880) with A/Qs in order to isolate him. Laura's dada thought for a while and called, putting himself all in with Q/10s. I'll play against a donkey call like that any abd every day, but today was his lucky day and he flopped a straight, taking Steve out and crippling me. I made a few moves and picked up some chips but got taken out by Laura's sister? when I went all in for my last $2,000 with A/3s and she had 10/10. Blinds were up to 600 at this point so my only move was all in. She flopped a 10 and that was the end of it.
1st - Larry - $380 + 6 bounties
2nd - Andy - $230 + 1 bounty
3rd - Mike Elks - $150 +3 bounties
(not sure who won the other 5 bounties)

February 13, 2008, 11AM: Played 3 hours, Lost $50.00 at Greektown Casino
$50 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (9th out of 54 Players)
$50 + $15 11:00 AM Daily No Limit Hold'em Tournament - 3,000 starting chips
Decided to go down and try a daily tournament to see what they were all about. There is a 60 person (6 table) max on the tournaments so I am sure they fill up considering the weather and it was still almost full.
There was only 1 guy at the 1st table that was aggressive and he bet/bluffed his way off the table 1st. Most pots were called with everyone limping at 1st, but by the 3rd round people opened up. Most of the guys played liked donkeys and were throwing their chips around like nothing, with weak hands.
My 1st winner was K/Q, limped in middle with limpers ahead, and caught a K on the flop. I was 2nd of 5 to act so I checked hoping for someone to take a stab at it but it was checked around. Next card came the Q and I bet $200 and got one caller. Bet $400 on the river and he called again. The very next hand I was dealt A/A amd raised from 50 to 150 and everyone folded.
After that I had long runs w/o cards but was able to stick around. Eventually we got down to the last 20 and I was still in it with about $4k. The action picked up some as most people either raised or got out. With a little over $3k left I got all in with A/Qs against K/Q and J/J. Ended up getting a low straight to take it all down.
At the final table the play was really tight. One guy dropped out and the BB was at 1,800 with a $200 ante. I was in the button and looked down to A/Ks and raised it up to $4,200. The BB pushed and made it about $7,500 total, I called and his K/K held up.
I went out as BB, had about $2,200 left and I held 5/2 when the SB called. Flop came 244, I pushed and SB showed 4 to take it.
Payouts were:
1st - $1,350
2nd - $675
3rd - $270
4th - $216
5th - $189

Mike (60), Jim (7), Bob +3, Gerbe +152, Tim S (10), Pat (38).
Was card dead all night. Tim played crazy again and did alright at 1st but then lost his winnings to Gerbe. I was all in, $16 deep that hand, against 4 on my last hand and my 5 J's lost to Gerbes 5 Q's.

One table, 10 person tournament. $20 + $1 for best hand.
Split the best hand with Dan and finished 2nd to Mike, Andy finished 3rd. Payout was $110, $60 & $30 + $10 for best hand.
Players were Mike, Lee, Ron, Bob, Dan, Scott, Gerbe, Dave and Andy.
