$23 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (2nd out of 23 Players)

Played really well early on playing small pots and chipped my way up.  Then came my first mistake(ONE OF MANY) where I attack a limper out of position with A7 suited.  He was a calling station and after I bet my normal amount on the J high flop he called and I was done with the hand unless I improved.  He ended up having A4 offsuit and called my 1000 chip bet with bottom pair. Im Pissed I didnt fire another bullet but its tough to play Calling Stations out of position.  At the final table I sat down to a rush of cards.  My second hand I got JJ and stole the 200/400 blinds, unfortunately nobody called cause I needed the double up.  Little did I know my double up was upon me in the big blind when I looked down at AK off and a buddy of mine made a 3X raise in the cut.  The small blind was pushing his stack because he had to go to work and ended up pushing Chris out. So it was my AK vs his 57off i believe.  Chris had pocket 4's and had he called(which I think he should have given the pot and structure) he would have gotten his set and knocked me out.  I got lucky here in a way.  So my next mistake was moving over the top of JFrostman preflop with A10 offsuit out of the big blind.  He had made an UTG raise and I just didnt give him too much credit and thought I could move over the top and get a fold.  Well he had KK and I got an A on the river to double up.  In retrospect this move by me was against everything I was "sensing" at the table because I got the feeling JFROSTMAN was actually playing pretty tight and just wanted to get involved in pots with strong hands.  A couple hands later I did something totally against my whole strategy of playing small pots unless I have a big hand or need a double up.  I just moved my stack all in to a bet in a 5 way pot with Q9 on a Q85 with 2 spades just thinkin i was good.  I should have put in a raise or just have smooth called and gotten away on the turn.  I ended up being 3rd best as two other people got there chips in.  Somehow I survived this because I had both of them covered.  Heads up pitted me against JFrostman and well frankly I played horrible in a sense because I went against what I was trying to do. Jfrostman kept raising alot of pots and had me outchipped so decided to make a stand and I reraised all in with an A3off...he called with 66 and I lost.  I have to give him credit for playing a great tournament and trapping my ass heads up.  Nice job Jfrost.

$35 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (3rd out of 35 Players)

Should have won this tournament multiple times...I had a massive chip stack but lost to three two outers on the river (NO JOKE). In three way action, I got knocked out when the SB raised me in the BB all-in and I called with A8o. He had K4o and I lost. That's how the final table went for me......

I'm still happy because I played the best I've ever played...
