March 26, 2008, 12AM: Played 4 hours, Made $665.00 at Ceaser's Palace
$3 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Wahoo! Here I was, in a spot where I HAD to win.  I had $90 in chips from my original buy in to the cash game and decided to add $10 so I had a legal buy in.  I played some $1/3 and played great.  Got distracted chatting with people and won big. Maybe I should only play when I'm broke?!

March 25, 2008, 11PM: Played 1 hour, 15 minutes, Lost $120.00 at Ceaser's Palace
$90 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (17th out of 31 Players)

I played OK.  Didn't realize until later that I picked the wrong spot for my chips.  An early position player was all in for $350 when the blinds were 100/200, and got lots of calls.  I was on the button with 6h8h and about $2200 in chips.  If i pushed I likely would have gone heads up and would've won the pot when I paired the flop.  I decided to call and had to fold to a flop bet.  Few hands later I picked up KJ and pushed, got called by AA on the BB.  Oops.

Played good.  Paid off a guy without many chips when he flopped a set and I had AA.  Cahsed out early-ish so I could play the tourny, wasn't really here to play long, but had been wanting to play a tournament lately, so I did.

$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Made a bad call when a guy drew out on me.  I thought he did but called his riverbet anyways. Oops.  Didn't have enough chips to recover after that.  Otherwise played aight.

$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Felt much better, more confidant.  But realized I was playing scared, scared to make a mistake.  I felt like I should have all the right answers.  AJ is no good on an AA2 board? I thought so, I mucked it and was showed pocket 3's.  This taught me an important lesson about table image.  Need to realize what it is and play accordingly.  When I don't know what my table image is then how can I capitalize on it?

March 16, 2008, 3PM: Played 3 hours, Lost $750.00 at vanetian
$5 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Low confidance.  I was trying to play and win every hand and I was making plays without all the information I needed.  Lead me to make several bad decisions.  I was so depressed after this session because I had no confidance and bad results that It took me a week to post it.  This really took the wind out of my sails as far as the whole pro thing goes.  I'm confidant again because of other sessions later.  Because I had no confidance I stepped down to $1/2 and had a much better feeling.

$5 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

I think I played really well with the exception of one bad bluff. Bet into this guy and when he raised neon the turn after calling me on the flop I figured I had at least phantom outs. The flush hit the board and I shoved, unfortunately the Flush card also happened to transform his straight into a straight flush. Oops! Other Han tyt I ran pretty good but the tables were tight. Good for all my other successful bluffs, but my monsters never got paid off.

March 2, 2008, 1PM: Played 2 hours, Lost $500.00 at Commerce Casino
$5 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

I was in SoCal for family reasons and decided I should visit the biggest poker room in the world while I was there.  Boy what a dissapointment! I played fine, got bad beat twice for my $500 but just wasn't enjoying the table, the casino etc enough to keep playing.  Realized I like Vegas poker better, so why play there when I live here?!?
