August 2, 2009, 2AM: Played 8 hours, Made $150.00
$0.5/1 Texas Hold'em

Played multiple sessions over the last 2 days. Mixed it up w/ SNG's, MTT's, Omaha, and NL cash games. Got deep in the 20k and had a big stack when I flopped the nuts and lost a huge pot when a guy turned a higher straight. My SNG luck continues to be absolutly horrible. Today I played 6 sngs, 4 were 6 handed and 2 were double ups. I got 3rd in 3 of the 6 handed SNGs and took bad beats in each one. I'm amazed to see how poorly big stacks play in the SNGs; mainly limp folding to short stacks and limp calling w/ weak hands like A5 and KT. Even players that run a profit over 2k sngs seem to play such bad fundemental poker it shocks me to see them in the black. Fortunately the cash games continue to be super soft and I've been bulldozing the .5/1 short handed games. I find these to be so much easier to beat and I'd much rather run 4 of these tables than 2 1/2NL.

July 31, 2009, 3AM: Played 6 hours, Made $400.00
$2/4 Texas Hold'em

Got off to a rocky start but had a good session. I found a very crazy 2/4 game, and a very tight 2/4 game and sat at both for about 2 hours. I bought in short at 240 on each and I was stacked after I pushed all in w/ KQ on a KQ45 board on turn. I bet $140 into a $100 and was called by 36 which hit a straight on river. That was the only real beat I took and otherwise a pretty uneventful evening. Looking to play some live action this weekend possibly some 5/10 on Sat.

July 30, 2009, 4AM: Played 4 hours, Made $280.00
$3,293 Buy-In Texas Hold'em Tournament (10 Players)

Took a much needed day off yesterday and came in feeling refreshed and excited to play. I decided to stick with SNGs today and I table selected pretty hard. I played for about 4 hours and only played in 9 SNGs. Normally I’d play twice that but I waited for soft tables then jumped in. I played quite a 5 Super Turbo s which tend to attract a different breed of players. I managed to take some pretty sick beats but I suppose that’s the norm in these ST’s. I feel like a broken record talking about bad beats but I have been running awful for quite some time now. After taking some sick beats I managed to win a few SNGs including a $93 and $72 to end the night.

July 28, 2009, 1AM: Played 4 hours, Made $1,050.00
$30 Buy-In Texas Hold'em Tournament (6th out of 285 Players)

Good day of poker, although a little frustrating at the end. I played in the 20k $30 Multi rebuy MTT and managed to get 6th, which paid just under 1k. This is the 3rd time in the last 2 weeks I've made it to this final table. I came in as chip leader and played very tight for about 2 hours. The action was crazy and the short stacks kept doubling which was rather annoying. After getting my blind stolen by the button repeatedly I repoped w/ A7 and was called by AT. I had 14bbs at the time and he had 12. I'm still debating my play with this hand, I think I'm making the correct play there. I felt with my tight table image and the fact there were a few very short stacks the repoping to a bit over min raise has solid EV.

I also played some .5/$1 short handed and a few SNG's. I've been running pretty bad in both of late so I've really been table selecting. I found a very weak cash game and found an interesting opponent. He was the best example of a calling station I've seen to date. He raised one time preflop in 2 hours and failed to make any value bets out of position on river. He could have easily stacked me twice but he flat called w/ 2nd nuts when I had 3rd nuts. He had a run of cards that I don't remember seeing in quite some time. Yet he only managed to get up to $240. I walked from that table at $220, for a profit of $60.

Sng's were the only loss of the day. I bubbled in 3 6 handed sngs and 2 were particularly brutal. I had QQ w/ 3800 and raised to 600 (3xbb), the other big stack who barely had me covered snap shoved his stack and I snap call. He had 55 and 5 on river.

Overall good day, other than a few bubble sng suck outs nothing horrible like the past week. I'm also happy say I didn't put any significant bad beats on anyone today.

July 25, 2009, 11PM: Played 2 hours, Lost $200.00
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Sick beats galore!!!! Playing 2 1/2 short ring and a $50 10k MTT. Up to $240, I get AA, reraise UTG to $18, BB who is a green fish cold calls. Flop is 894 2 diamonds. UTG Flat pushes for $120, its so rare to be behind in this spot and I fully expect KK, QQ, and maybe JJ. Sure enough its QQ and river is...........Q! Yay. I realod to $200 and im at $240 a few later and I get AJ on button. I raise to $8, BB calls. BB is complete maniac with $120 and if I hit flop I'm almost never folding. Flop is AJ7, he checks I bet $12 he pushes, I call, he has 77. I walk. Meanwhile at the other table I flop a set of 8's and reraise flop big, and bet pot on turn, on board of Q879, turn is T, both check, donk has QJ. YAY! 32 left in MTT, I get KQd in cutoff and raise 3xbb, very very loose aggro big stack calls. Flop is K56, I bet 1/2 pot he calls. Aggro leads turn when a 7 comes, I feel he is making a play, I push for 5x his bet, he snap calls with JJ, river......J. Awesome! I go from 9th in chips to out in 32 on anothe 2 outer on river. I don't think I could make this shit up!

July 25, 2009, 9PM: Played 3 hours, Made $60.00
$1/2 Texas Hold'em

Yet another typical session online for me. I seem to continually roll through the 1/2 game then get it all in with a guy drawing to 3 outs or less and lose a huge pot.  I usually buy in for 120 and quickly add chips to $200. I bought in to two 1/2 games and came out firing on both. I was up to $260 on one table and had been involved in almost every pot when I got KK and raised to $10 UTG. Two callers and a very weak player raises from the BB to $30. I made it $90, 2 folds and a call. FLop is 9 high and insta shoves with QQ I win. After making a few hero calls against a maniac im sitting at $540. I'm at such a tight table besides the maniac that I'm basically just firing at everything and taking many pots down on flop w/ nothing. Im in BB and there are 2 limpers and SB makes it $8, I call w/ AJ suited, button calls, 3 to flop. AJ4 on flop, SB check, I bet 12, button calls, SB makes it $40, I reraise to $120, button folds, SB pushes for $60 more, I call, he has AK, King on turn. Down to $300. I'm a bit steamy, since this keeps on happening virtually everyday for a month now so I open a .5/.10 and fold the next 12 hands on the 1/2 table. I get AK on button everyone folds to me, I make it $8. BB who is a weak player with horrible stats calls. He starts the hand w/ $84 i have $290. Flop comes K93, he checks I bet $12 he min bets me. In an earlier hand I saw him min check raise 2nd pair on flop and with that in mind I push. He snap calls w/ K2, 2 on river. Im out! No big hands on my other table I was in for $180 walked w/ $220
