$5 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 9 Players)

Either the best or luckiest SNG I've ever played ... I'm not sure I'm smart enough to know which.

25/50 level - Hit a straight on river in bb. Pot was only 150, I bet pot, 1 fold and 1 call. +250 $1,650 stack

30/60 - Spiked a set on flop from sb w/p5's, 4 plyrs in hand. Flop 7c5c4d. Straight & flush possibilities scared me w/4 plyrs so I bet pot, 240. BB folded, next player AI w/1,100 stack. Other player folded. He wasn't in a blind so I didn't think he had a straight. Figured over pair or 4-flushed so I called. He had p/J's and the set held up. $2,850 stack.

5 players in @60/120. BS @4k, [email protected], ss @ 1.8k
P/Q's in BB. SS raised 3x, everyone folded to me, I raised him AI. He called with AJ and my Q's held. 4,600 stack.

4 plyrs @80/160. SS AI, I called w/AQ. He had AJ but sucked out a split pot.

Still 4 plyrs @150/300. Made 2 great?/lucky? reads against BS late. +1500 in one pot, and a bigger call of AI after river that crippled him and set me up as the dominate BS going in to the finish. There were cards on the board that could have had me beat, but I had read his betting patterns well all tourny and was confident I had him.

Went heads up w/10.5k stack vs 3k. He went AI 3 times in a row. I called 3rd time w/K10suited. He had AJ. Flop KK? and it was over.

$5 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (3rd out of 9 Players)

Great example of making something out of nothing. No cards, just hung around and didn't do anything stupid until eventually most of the others did.

Out on preflop AI w/AK vs A8.

$5 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (6th out of 9 Players)

Up 700 early w/back to back p/K's. Other than that nothing to play. Out at 120/240 level. Folded to me on button w/p6's. AI, called by sb and lost to A8.

Average cards. Very patient. Played well.

Some idiot was going preflop AI early and often. He did it again, I had pQ's and called, he had K4 and of course won.
:(

$5 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (8th out of 9 Players)

Boring early. Made a really nice play mid-levels checking set on turn to guy I knew would push hard to a check. +700
Equally stupid play in bb w/p3's when sb w/700 stack raised 3x. I reraised him AI, he called w/K4 and won the race. Went AI @ 1,000 stack w/p9's and lost to p3's.

$5 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (7th out of 9 Players)

A really blah tournament. Nothing to play in a really slow game that wasn't losing any players. Out at 80/160 level. Lost in sb w/pocket 10's to bb's pocket A's.  :(

Average to below cards. Won some small pots with 2 pair, etc., but no really strong hands. 4 left at 60/120 level, all with 2,000+ stack. Out at 100/200 level. Folded to me w/88 in sb. Raised 3x, bb went AI and I called. Lost to AQ.

$5 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (4th out of 9 Players)

Doubled up w/p10's vs 9's at 25/50 blinds. Played very well through middle stages including some good reads that allowed me to successfully bluff on some nice pots. Took big hit at 100/200 level w/4 plyrs left. Raised 3x w/p7's, bb went all in. I was priced in and lost to A3. After that things went down hill w/no cards and big raises in front of me that blocked potential AI bluffs.

Chased an open ended straight flop from bb and leaked $200 early.  Out at 80/160 blinds. Had approx $1,000 stack. Folded to me on button w/66. Raised 3x to $480. SB went AI. BB folded. I called and lost to p/K's.
