July 23, 2009, 10PM: Played 2 hours at Southpoint
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

tons of fish at my table, j moved over because it was so easy to read the table. i was card dead for the first half hour then picked up QQ and raised to 10 preflop. flop came 554 and i moved all in and had one caller. never saw his hand but i hit a queen on the river for a full house. Had a couple really good reads on some players. overall a fun night of playin

July 19, 2009, 11PM: Played 5 hours at Southpoint
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

This was a very long session. Was getting very tired. Made maybe what could be considered bad calls pre flop but it worked out for me and I hit a couple straights and top pairs. Pretty happy with how I played. Moved seats one time because I wanted to have good position on this one guy.

July 18, 2009, 2AM: Played 2 hours at Southpoint
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Sat down at a brand new table and got a read on the table for a couple hands. Someone raises under the gun to 5 and I and pretty much the whole table call. I hold J10o and flop comes 10107rainbow. Guy under the gun bets 20 bucks and i call everyone else folds.turn comes J, he bets 25 and i think about it for a minute and "reluctantly call". river comes some other random card and he bets 25, i raise to 50 and he reluctantly calls to see my hand, he flips over AA. Then the table is just talking crap the whole rest of the time about how they dont want to be in a hand with me so I use that to my advantage and take down a few more pots. I did lose about 100 dollars to a guy when the flop was A107 or something like that and i bet 25 with A7 and he calls, turn was a 2 or 3 and i think i bet like 20 and he goes all in. I fold and he flips over AK. Could have gotten a lot uglier! GOod night playing, me and jay did well.

July 14, 2009, 11PM: Played 2 hours at Southpoint
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Hah, so much for being done for awhile. Sat down at a table and got a feel for it. Had great position. A guy from Holland sitting to my right who had a huge stack in front of him so I was very focused on how he was playing. Got low stacked and woke up with AA in the small blind and went all in and one person called with JJ. Doubled up and then did another pretty nice hand and decided to leave. Good night, had a great read on the table.

Crazy night, this table was no good.. kept getting beat with straights to two pair and a full house to trips. J didnt do well either and we walked out of there thinking it was a really bad table to be at. Once you got short stacked it was either go all in or dont even play at all. I think Im done for awhile.. i want to study some and take a break.. blah

July 2, 2009, 11PM: Played 3 hours at Southpoint
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

wow, this is hard for me to get over losing this money since I played really well tonight... I guess its that thing called variance. Was up all night and then the hand comes where i lost all my money.. Picked up JJ and raised to 10 preflop.. had 4 callers. flop comes 889, i bet 25 and get one caller, everyone else folds, turn comes 8, so im thinking I have this in the bag with my full house. I did not put the other guy on an 8 since he called my raise preflop. i bet another 35 and he calls, then comes a 2 and i check to him, he moves all in and of course i call. and he flips over the 780. such a bummer especially since i had wanted to get up over an hour ago. note to self to get up when im feeling it and not just wait around. its ok to be at the casino and not be playing. gonna be hard to sleep tonight. gotta get over it.

No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Played pretty tight as it was an aggressive table. Should have made one call with top pair and flush draw but didnt want to call 35, Should have calculated my odds but instead just folded. ooops. made a good call with my 99 to someones 88. overall very pleased with how i played.

June 29, 2009, 9PM: Played 3 hours at Tamarus
$20 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 9 Players)

Played good, was a bit hard for me to adjust to a tournament since me and J have been playing cash games. Made some really good calls against Mike. Came back from being short stacked and ended up playing heads up against J and then we decided to chop at the end so we could go home.
