No traction.  No serious mistakes, but the poker gods weren't kind.  example: top two (A-Q) against a flush draw, all in, went south.  I made a big enough raise to give the flush draw negative odds.

Got big pocked pairs busted all night long.  Worst case: I flopped a set of jacks and put a pocket pair of queens all in.  He turned a queen.

Just dropped in to see what Thursday night was all about.  Some of the usual suspects, mostly new faces.  I quit in disgust because Ben and Terry were slowing the game down with their endless mind games--some hands took 5 minutes.  I shared this with Randy.

Monday night game, which started wild after the tournament but got slow, so I went home.  One mistake: pocket kings under the gun, I limped in but got raised to $25 by "Dolph".  I made a big raise back and he put me all in.  Pocket Aces, of course.  Maybe I should just have called and decided how to proceed after the flop.

Lousy cards most of the night.  Three hours without winning a chip or throwing away a winner, that I know of.
 
Pocket queens don't beat pocket aces, even in the hands of a loose aggressive player.  Play the cards as well as the player.

May 18, 2011, 6PM: Played 5 hours, 27 minutes, Broke Even at Pete's
$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

Broke even.  Didn't catch cards, got sucked out on 3 times, and pocket kings got busted by pocket queens when a queen flopped.  There was a period of over 2 hours when I didn't drag a single chip.
At worst I was in $400, stuck $285.  Patience, patience, patience.  It all came back and I went home.
   
Charlie often opens early with $18 when he has pocket A-K or A-Q. He might have a big pair, but not as likely.
