$10 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (10th out of 639 Players)

freakin final table bubble. playing hand for hand. i raise 4x blind with 66. the button calls. flop comes 959 rainbow. i move allin, overbet the pot. he calls with ATo for a good chunk of his stack. no pair, no draw. he rivers a ten to send me home crying. i dont understand that call at all. its totally unjustified. shitty.

$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

nothing went right at the beginning: top 2 pair got chased down by a straight, JJ ran into QQ on a 9 high board. but i did a good job losing the min on these hands. even flopped a set of 6s on a 3 spade board and laid it down on the turn without losing anything extra. i got shown the nut flush for a good lay down. on the very next hand, i flop top set of 8s and get in vs bottom set 3s. he didnt have that much, but it wasnt a loss. after that, just played tight and solid. did a good job keeping the pots small and not putting myself in a position to make tough decisions for lots of money.

$10 Buy-In Pot-Limit Omaha Tournament (6th out of 135 Players)

one rebuy, one addon. never put my money in bad, made enough hands to collect some chips early and never looked back. didnt have to worry about stack sizes or anything until final table. made my first mistake 8 handed. i'm 3rd in chips in bb. no raise. i flop openended. one guy bets small. i call. i turn 2 pair and for some reason check it. river is ace. i bet half pot. he calls with top set of aces. i bet the turn and win instead of losing good sized pot. then, 8 handed, 4th in chips in bb. no raise. flop is KhJh6d. checks around. turn is 5d, giving me 5s and 6s with nut diamond draw. i lead out half pot, one of the limpers moves allin for big amount. i made the call. i shouldnt have. it was most of my stack. he has set Ks, no river diamond. bad call by me. i lay down there, i still have plenty. but now i short. cards didnt help out, folded my way to 6th.

$2 No-Limit Texas Hold'em

another night where i was card dead/couldnt do anything right. only won a few small pots, didnt make any hands all night except one. called a min raise from bb with Q2c. flop 8TK 2 clubs. i check BJ bets $15, some guy i dont know calls i call. turn pairs the 8. BJ bets a smallish $17, dude calls, i dont want to call, but the bet was so little. river is 4c. i lead out for $50, BJ folds, dude goes allin for like $40 more. he has 8T for a full house. he made several big hands like this and slow played almost everytime, but i didnt have to put him on such a big hand here cuz i also saw him call 2 bets on just a gutshot. he played his monster hands and his very weak hands similar. anyway, thats all it took. spent the rest of the night calling missing and folding til it was all gone.

$5 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (1st out of 27 Players)

i won a tourney on stars? no, that cant be right...got very lucky on final table. was totally card dead and had no spots move. finally picked up 77 in bb and they looked like aces to me. facing a raise, i shove, cuz i was getting low and still had enough chips to create fold equity. i got called by TT and was very very lucky to hit a set and then river quads. once the blinds got high, i actually started to get some hands to play. i wouldnt say i was catching cards, cuz i never had a pair and AK only once, but i had playable hands and played them very aggressive. nice.
